I know the point of the build was to make it look fugly but once the carpets and the wallpaper and the doors were in it looked beautiful in the old “ my grandparents used to live here” kind of way

i dont think a preteen stage would 100% be necessary BUT i would like to see the child character model get slightly taller, and for the teen model to start off shorter. adding preteen like buffs to the last few days of being a child and the first few days of being a teen i think would be the way to go. I say this as someone who plays with the preteen mod; that or make teens visibly childlike so that the jump from kiddo to teen doesn't look like they turned 23 on their 13th birthday hahaha

I too keep it to one story when I make a sim family with lots of kids. Sims are already wonky with child care, adding stairs is a nightmare 🤣

I sorely want a preteen life stage and always have. I think it's been my most desired life stage since I started playing Sims 2. The leap from child to teen seems enormous and the difference between teens and adults just isn't distinct enough. I want a specific awkward transition stage that feels more like a middle school scenario. I don't see it happening as that would take a huge amount of work, adaptations, change, and time. With sims 5 so close I doubt we'd get anything as transformative as a new life stage

How do you set these up to have functional stores at the bottom? Are these residential rentals and the stores are the community spaces?

Basemental Drug mod has a lot trait called Sketchythat will add sims to your city that will turn up in the evening and stay all night till morning. They are drug dealers and drunks, I think for most of the city you created that would help populate the area and make it a bit more active, it also adds more gameplay and story building. For me, I placed it for one residential home at a trailer park and they will wander around using the community areas I built in the trailer park

i just wanna say that i love your poo poo save file and i currently use it everytime i play and i'm filling it with all my little sims and families and creating stories with the sims the file came with. ❤ it's a blast !
