I got it because of The Agent Orange Act..I had proof of combat in a sprayed area..I’m 74 and with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer..half my prostate was cancerous and my Gleason count was way up..currently I’m being maintained at my present levels thru my chemotherapy shots and Erleada pills at $15k a month(VA paying) my Dr. said he will write any Nexus letter I need to inform the VA that my cancer will always be in me and only maintained.. good luck with your claim..contact your local DAV rep

I hope your ratings are approved soon. But be confident that when it is approved you will receive back pay from the day you first applied. Sometimes I heard a lawyer can expedite the process. I was lucky enough not to need one and the VA rep was very helpful The VA has always treated me well I hope that it can benefit you too.

Not if you have over 50%, the VA has a funny way of adding also. You might have 60% and they figured it 40% .

NO, it will not affect your SSDI, I am UI and receiving SSDI. Go through the DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS!!! The DAV will help fight the VA for your disability rating.
