I don't really understand why this song is such a big deal to people. The song is about the guilt Luka feels for her actions. Considering how much women have suffered from stuff like this, it's no wonder.

i haven't seen anyone fully break this song down, so i want to give it a try myself (extremely long paragraph incoming, all the content warnings ever) luka comes from a religious background where sex (presumably premarital) is extremely stigmatized. she has her very first sexual encounter with a man, which is described both as pain and pleasure. the "tears" i believe are her getting wet because she says she has a desire for this man and discharge from this is typically clear. it's possible that she continues to lust for him, but she's so traumatized by her experience that she sees herself as "scarred" and her lust as even worse than before. she considers herself to have sinned and her body to be impure (she describes her body as "the b*tch's hole", dehumanizing herself). "we never know our conception" in my opinion suggests that she did not know she could get pregnant from sex, which makes sense because her community seems to only teach abstinence. she becomes pregnant and has an abortion to hide it from her community, which gives her a lot of mental anguish because she believes she's killing a baby. either she's so young that this happened before she got her first period or she's been traumatized by the abortion so bad that she equates her period to it, because she believes that her period is her killing another baby. she considers her aborted child's life sacred in comparison to hers, which is suggested to be sinful, cruel, and rotten. overall, i think this song appropriately conveys religious sexual trauma and the agony of an unwanted abortion; it makes me feel sympathetic for her instead of hooked in by a gimmick. this is just my one opinion, though; feel free to disagree and discuss.

Beyond all the negative stigma, the song is interesting in how it tells the story of the nun and how twisted her self-perception is, shaped by the religious guilt she feels for all the "sins" she's committed. It's pretty good.
