the early image of entrance to the race shows a 57 Pontiac identical to the one my folks had.

This movie, Vanishing Point and Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry really set the tone for my love of muscle cars. It's a damn shame Wall Street turned our beloved muscle cars into "investments" for the wealthy. These cars were made for the everyday man and women and now they are out of reach for most people.

Saw it in about 1971! Fantastic then and now

I'm in this cult... saw it the day it hit the theater in my area, never forgot, it's a big screen movie, not the same on a computer monitor.

Proper Car movie. All that Fast and Furious was a load of rubbish.

Saw this a hundred times at the Elgin in NYC. They would play double features with themes like cars or whatever and this was always on the bill.

A group of guys (about 4) I graduated and I went to see this in a theater in the spring of 1970. As kids just barely old enough to drive, we were blown away. The film has since achieve cult status among film buffs. I understand why.

The opening scene still gives me goosebumps, as much as the first time I saw it in the 70's.

At 3:54 into the film, I see a ' 58 chevy, up against a '59 chevy. So, it has to be at least 1959 or 1960. My dad drag raced during these years, and at one point , Bought a new 1960 Plymouth fury with a 413 max wedge and raced it from ' 61 to about '64 when he wrecked it. So, I'm hoping I see a black and white '60 Fury..... let's see. Now, back to the show.
