I just bought the same pot and I was scared if my soil is too wet! I didn’t have a moisture meter but at least I got this series to calm me down 😂

Would this work with a large pot with a false bottom to moisten my 6ft moss pole?

When you water it do you just fill the chamber on the bottom or do you water it from the top and let it drain to the bottom?

I've been dealing with terrible depression and anxiety for years. I totally understand and sympathize. I really struggle to clean my house right now.

I am so glad that I had that time with her. but with her gone, I've done a lot of moping and coping. I sleep more than I should. I've been on meds for years for depression. with each major depressive episode, I tend to discard or neglect things that I truly do love. I'm in a valley right now. and I've been trying to re-embrace my joys.... crocheting, arty friends. training my cats to do housework is not working. this is a big ramble to let you know... you are not alone. 😊 don't be too hard on yourself. my red maranta suffered an agonizing death... anyway... here to talk if you need someone. ❤

That stromanthe behind your shoulder is just beautiful. I have one! It's still tiny, but growing fast. I have it near a south facing window, but behind some other plants, so the light is more dappled. The Painted Lady is SOOOO epic! It's way bigger than I thought they get. But my favorite of yours in the vid has to be the White Princess 🤍.

Thanks for sharing the "Mix Your Own Soil & Repot for Spring ". I was glad you shared your ratio of the soil mix. I am sure most of my plants will need good drainage soil. I was also glad to see that the self-watering pots are working out for you. I will be ordering some of those when I return home. I didn't see any soil mix falling from the bottom of the first plant pot when you held it up. Knowing from your previous videos (before the self-watering pots) that you always used the bottom watering method. I would like to know how you can bottom water the plant if you don't have drainage hole in the bottom or the lower sides of the pot? You didn't mention anything about using some kind of fabric or material to cover a hole in the bottom of the pot to keep the soil from coming out. Thanks again for the great video.

What I do when I have to repot ( dread it) is take my mixture add a little water to moisten because when you do it dry and then water it compacts down further. Not sure if right or wrong but easier for me.

My thing is afraid to fertilize no matter how because most of mine are pretty recent and in my minds eye they had something giving to them before leaving the grower. I have the miracle grow sticks and if I do administer I may go the half does to be more precautionary.

Thank you for the watering tips! I’ve been bottom watering my plants lately and they seem to really benefit from it. I have an allocation black velvet that just unfurled a new leaf and it’s gorgeous.
