Racing in the rain is awful, props to you man. I race fixed gear crits, only done a few in light rain and it was a crash fest with no brakes
Go in the pit next time tell them you had a mechanical, they might let you back in. I use to be an official. and rider.

Great video. Practice dropping your chain and putting it back on with your fingers while rolling, very valuable skill
If I didn’t have a chain guide (what help that did) I probably would have tried.

Dropped my chain. Had to jump off and get it back on. I ran a chain guide which didn’t help and actually made it harder to get the chain back on.

Sorry for the choppy video. I wasn't at home so the internet was probably getting overwhelmed. Plus I was trying to run everything through my Macbook Air, which isn't designed for that. Happy with the result overall. Really tough competition. Happy with my final sprint.
Turns out that guy who won is like 6'8" and 100kg, and played professional basketball in Italy. Dude is just a beast. He did 402W for just over an hour, absolute watt monster. Well done. I finished 11th which I'm happy with at my size. Looking forward to flatter courses coming up.
