2002 Camaro SS should I polish it or not?
I came across your video trying to research my trouble with 2017 Ford Expedition. My Battery is dead so my FAB doesn't work. Also, key doesn't work to open the 1 door lock. I can't get into cabin. From your spare, how could you ope it from the outside with hood locked...thought about un-bolting the 2 screws , yet that would only give an inch or try more fiddle room. Any ideas? Thanks Paul.
@paulpurdom8440 that's unusual that the key wouldn't work to unlock your truck. I would suggest calling a locksmith to try to unlock your truck. They will likely have the tools to work the tumbler and at least get you into your truck. From there you can pop the hood release and access your battery. I hope this information helps. 👍
🔥 great car
@@robertmarchante1959 thank you! It really is an amazingly good car. It's a blast to drive! 👍👍
Man I want one of these in the worst way. Going to save this entire year and grab one with the handling pack
@DibeezyTheGifted these are great cars! Hope you get yours soon! 👍👍
I would like to have Mach1. I love more charm of Bullitt but without changes in springs and anti roll bars they are not close in driving dynamics. Tremec is the USP for manual car lovers.
@boguszn1978 the Mach 1 shares its front suspension with the GT350, the rear suspension with the GT500. I looked at a Bullitt before I went with the Mach 1. The Bullit was very nice, but understated. I'm glad I went with the Mach 1. 👍
@ i really love my Bullitt as I was one of the first owners after the Launch. Invested not only on suspension but also 4.08 final gear and wave track diff. But …. I agree with you some parts like front and rear suspension cannot be exchanged. Or even MT82. I had a great ride today with Bullitt but I am looking for The CAR till end of my life knowing what is happening with industry. And more and more I look into Mach1. Best regards.
I got a 157k 06 Performance for 1400 clean interior, everything works only thing ive done to it is water pump belt and pulley just like you
@swazyseb sounds like you found a great car! The DTS is generally a very solid car. Most of the issues with the Northstar were solved by the time the DTS was produced. Hopefully, you'll have many years of enjoyment from your car. 👍👍
great video! please continue this series I am looking to buy one at the end of the year
@Spoodsthemaaaan thank you! I plan on to keep making more videos with the Mach 1 this year. I'll also keep up the annual ownership updates too. I hope you find the right Mach 1 for yourself. They are great cars! 👍👍
Love my 07' DTS. Thanks for sharing!!
@toddwilliams6 you're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my video, cheers! 👍👍
My water pump belt tensioner seized. Replaced it myself. Easy fix. 90 bucks. l love m y DTS!!
@toddwilliams6 it's an easy repair. I made a video when I changed out my belt and tensioner. Just have to occasionally keep an eye on the tensioner. They wear out every so often. 👍

Mach 1 has my heart right above PP1 GT hate the prices haven’t gone down much but I totally know why for the Mach 1. nice car and color ! 👌🏾
@dinerodinero1097 I love my car! The color sold me on it the moment I had seen the car at the dealership. I bought the car immediately. Thank you for you kind words. The Mach 1 prices are still up there. That's not desirable if you're looking to buy one used. The Mach 1 is a great all around car. 👍👍
Glad you like your car. Too bad you don’t get to drive it that much. I was ready to buy a new Mach 1 when they first came out and trade in my ‘17 GT Premium w/PP. But when it came out, the price and similar look to the GT (along with those round fake fog light design on front grill) turned me off. I looked into the GT350 and decided it was a better choice for me. I landed a 2019 with 6k miles for less than $60k. I’ve had it four years now, and 30k miles later..I still love it. The voodoo engine matched with the tremec 6-speed is just pure joy. For those who want a powerful, fun Mustang with an auto tranny… I suggest the GT500 over a Mach 1 or Dark Horse.
@JimRasmussen-l2b sounds like you have a great car! You found what you were looking for at the right time. I looked at the GT 500 when I was shopping for a Mach 1. Honestly, I could not justify spending almost twice as much as the Mach 1 cost to go with the GT 500. I like the look of my HP car, and I would've bought it regardless of which transmission it had. There weren't many Mach 1s available at the time I was looking for one. Most had large dealer mark ups on top of the MSRP. Fortunately for me I bought my car without having to pay a mark up. I didn't get to drive it much this past season but I'll make up for it next summer. Enjoy your car as much as you can, cheers! 👍👍
I also did the GT 500 side skirts. Question…. What is that added to wheel fender?
@dhill835 they are front fender wheel lip extensions. They were usually shipped separately from the car and the dealers installed them. Mine were not installed at the dealership, and I received them a few weeks after I took delivery of my car. I integrated them with the side skirt extensions to make it all look like it was originally installed that way. I also added the GT500 front end fender extensions on the front of the fenders. They were a bit of work to adapt them, but it looks good. I have a video on both of those modifications.
Useful! Thank you!!
@@ShirleyMa-r9w I'm glad that my video was helpful! 👍👍
I have a '21 Mach 1, I did have a '77 Cadillac Coupe DeVille but I sold it this summer. Currently my 4 door family summer fun car is an '09 Pontiac G8 GT, I like it very much but I have been thinking about maybe swapping it for a 2nd gen CTS-V. We'll see, I tend to buy and sell cars on a regular basis.
@Sasquatch_by_Day I had a 2009 G8 way back. Those are great cars! I have seen a connection between those of us that have Mustangs and also Cadillacs. I had a 2006 DTS before I moved to the CT5. I have to say, the CT5 is a refreshing surprise. It's no Mach 1, but it's more capable than the DTS I had. 👍👍
What is the deal with Caddys and Mustangs???? We have a 2013 CTS4 Performance coupe and 1966 Mustang 2+2 270hp and a 16 Roush GT Mustang. I have noted a number of guys with a Caddy and Mustang. Love them BOTH!!!! Thanks
@davevan8864 I'm not sure why, but I love them both too! They are both amazing cars, lots of fun to drive in their own ways. I'm glad that I'm not the only one that is fond of both the Cadillacs and Mustangs! Enjoy your cars too! Cheers! 👍👍👍
Great color. Enjoy!
@mikemet1744 thank you! The Velocity Blue on the Mach 1 was a one year only colour. The 2021 was the only year for it. I love it!'👍👍
People get so bent out of shape about transmissions. Especially people with the manual transmission. There have been zero issues with the A10 in the Mustangs. Like you I’ve driven manuals most of my life. I’m done rowing gears. I’m old and lazy and want to go fast. All the fan boys of the 6 speed enjoy
@smitty858 very well stated! I'm much like yourself. Had decades of manuals. I'm over it now. I love the A10 in my Mach 1! Cheers! 👍👍👍
Awesome Vehicle
@@MrT-nh6di thank you! It is a great car overall. I'm glad I made the decision to buy it back in December of 2021. 👍👍
Automatic is for chicks
The manual transmission is very enjoyable to drive, but if the automatic is what does it for you, that's all that matters. It's your car enjoy it.
@musclecars92 I have had a lot of manuals over the years. I would have bought my car regardless of the transmission. It just so happened that the car I bought was an automatic. It works well for me in the type of driving I do. At the Mach 1 Track Attack I drove a manual. It was a lot of fun, yet the automatics ran much quicker and faster around the Roval. I don't regret getting my car with the automatic. It's a quick car!
@lilredcrvtt absolutely the 10 speed automatic transmission is fast shifting. And your car is beautiful looks like it has the handling package it gives the vehicle a more aggressive stance take care of it enjoy it try to put some more miles on that thing too lol.
@musclecars92 thank you! I hope to be able to drive my car more next summer. Unfortunately, I had some health setbacks this year. But I'm slowly getting better. I'll not waste my car by leaving it in the garage. I'll get back out there and drive the wheels off of it, lol!
@musclecars92 it just so happens there is more to making a fun drivers car than boring "fast shifting" automatics lol. The 10 speed is prob the most overdone and overrated trans in history. They do well na because the gearing is like a crutch but aren't needed with big power and don't hold up that well to big power they even have alot of issues stock. All the 10r fanboys act like it was touched by the hand of God and is utterly perfect but they have alot of problems. I truly love the art of driving a manual too much I can't ditch that for a boring auto i just cannot do it. That said all the auto rev match bs is almost as bad. I want a manual because I want to DRIVE the car I don't want it doing it for me.
@midnight347 exactly well said it's sad that most of the kids today won't even have the pleasure of driving a manual transmission car because there slowly dying...I personally couldn't imagine my Camaro SS without it. Those who know get it and understand the beauty of having a V8 and manual transmission combination one of the best driving experience in my opinion. Not to mention the 6 speed tr6060 manual transmission is much more reliable than the 10 speed automatic transmission in my humble opinion.
Excellent advice, I'm in England, took mine out yesterday for one last 200 miles drive yesterday, forecast is cold and frosty, they heavily salt roads here, mines now going away until March or April.
@richyclubsport5155 better to store your car, rather than drive it on salted roads. Plus, there's the anticipation of driving your car in the spring. 👍👍

@jimmy8bp575 I'm sorry but I don't have a link for it. I bought it at a local Canadian Tire store here in Canada. I checked on Amazon, they have a lot of newer cameras available at lower prices than I paid for mine.
I have a 22 Mach 1 HP, manual, FJG, have had no issues at all and love it. I agree with all you mentioned about the automatic, but when it comes to resale, manual hold their value better and are always more in demand.

@traxiii that's great! These are very good cars! Glad you're enjoying yours too! 👍👍
Eruption Green is an amazing colour.
I picked up a 2021 Mach 1 three weeks ago, I absolutely love it. Mine is Fighter Jet Grey with the Mach 1 Appearance package, Mach 1 elite package, 700A Equipment Group, 6 Speed manual, and the comfort seats. It is exactly as I wanted except for the Handling Package. I couldn't find one on the East Coast of Canada with the Handling Package, as it will likely only be on the track once a year at the most I can live without it. If I find that I absolutely need it I can always add the parts that make up the HP later. It's not my first Mustang, I had a 2019 Bulliitt but sold it because I didn't like the MT-82 manual transmission. The Mach 1 is what the Bullitt should have been.
@Sasquatch_by_Day-nv3yh sounds like you have a really nice car too! I was shopping for a Bullit after selling my 2019 GT convertible. But, I found the Mach 1 to be a better car. I'm glad I went with the Mach 1. I don't track my car. The HP option seems to give the car more presence and it definitely lives up to it's name. I was very fortunate to find my car when I did. As you know, the Mach 1 is the Mustang to have. Enjoy your car as much as possible, cheers! 👍👍
@@lilredcrvtt Having owned both without a doubt the Mach 1 is a better car than the Bullitt. I sold my 2019 Corvette Grand Sport to get the Mach 1 after it had a less than stellar showing on the first track day I ever did. My friend has a Dark Horse that worked great at the track so I wanted to go back to a Mustang but don't care much for the looks of S650. A Mach 1 it had to be.
@Sasquatch_by_Day-nv3yh I agree about the look of the S650. The Darkhorse is essentially a Mach 1 under the new sheetmetal. I'm still not a big fan of the redesign. While I understand that Ford had to change things, I'm more an S550 fan. I've had Corvettes in the past. They were ok, but the Mach 1 is much better overall.
@@lilredcrvtt While I prefer the exterior styling of the Mach 1, I could maybe learn to accept the S650 exterior but there is no way I could ever get over that abomination of a screen on the dash of the Dark Horse. The 2019 Grand Sport I had was faster on the track than the Dark Horse but the 8 speed auto trans overheated on the second track session of the day (it was at the end of Sep so it wasn't that warm out), the 10R80 in my friend's Dark Horse performed flawlessly but i wanted the Tremec in the Mach 1 all the same. The Mach 1 is far easier to get in and out of (I have major back issues) and is much more comfortable than the Vette.
I am putting my '21 Mach 1 away this week, along with my other summer cars. My winter storage routine is exactly the same as yours. I used to put covers on my cars for storage but found they got dusty under them anyway so now I don't bother. I don't have to worry about bumping into them as I have a detached garage that all my summer toys go into for the winter, I close the doors in Nov and don't open them again until Apr.
@@Sasquatch_by_Day excellent! I'm not sure I'll put the car cover that came with the car, on the car. It does get dusty under it. I have a detached garage, but It is the 247EVL garage, lol! I get out there regularly, but mostly to film my videos. No one else goes out there, and I'm careful around my cars. 👍👍

Your '21 and my '22 my routine for "winter" storage here in Arizona is very similar to yours. Air up the rubber, Sta-Bil, top off the tank with Shell nitro 91, park on carpet in the garage, hook-up battery-tender, wipe down with Meguiars ceramic detailer, cover with my factory Mach 1 car cover and I am good to go...we are brothers from different mothers my Canadian 🍁 friend!!!
@kevinsarkisian3668 absolutely we are 💯! Keep enjoying your Mach 1, as soon as the weather will allow in the spring! Cheers brother! 👍👍
Arizona doesn’t have rust issues tho
@@C0rvette454 I might be mistaken, but in the higher elevation parts of the state, there can be snow in the winter. I'm not sure what they put on their roads to manage the ice. But, I wouldn't drive my car in any sort of snow, regardless of where I live.
I agree the automatic is faster than the manual. I just prefer to row the gears. It's more of an exciting experience for me to have a manual. I'm not racing the car. It's fast enough for me as a manual and I just prefer to shift gears. By the way, your Mach one looks amazing. Love that color.
@haromaster6086 thank you! At the time I bought it, the colour was important to me. As for the manual vs automatic, they are both great. It's all about your preference. Cheers! 👍👍
Ill take manuel all day. If true to the stick game, driving manuel is easy especially in traffic. Problem is 99% who drives stick ain't efficient in it.
@cobra20500 Well, that's your opinion. I'll assume you have the manual transmission in your Mach 1 HP car. Am I correct in my assumption? If so, then you speak from your personal experience. I've driven stick for many decades. I'm ok not having to shift. At the time I bought my car, I had no choice. It was either buy that one, in my preferred colour and with the handling package, or get another car in a colour I didn't want and pay a huge dealer uncharge on top of it all, just to get a manual. I wasn't going to do that. I've had my car for almost three years now, and I'm very happy that I decided to buy it, even with the automatic. No regrets.
You’re a good man

hi the nice video, How do I know which length single arm I need to buy for my bathroom window? Also which hand side I should get? my bathroom window opens from right to left.
@ivanvelez7668 the make of the window crank operator and model number are typically stamped into one of the arms of the operator as I illustrated in my video. If you order the same model number and make of operator, you will get the correct one for your application. Also measure the arm from the end to the center of the mechanism as I showed in my video. This will ensure your order the correct operator too. I hope this is of help, cheers!

@jessicaphoenix1312 I like how you put that! I've had a lot of manuals. This time I bought an automatic. After almost three years of owning it, I'm still very happy with the way the car performs. For my driving needs, it fits in perfectly. Cheers! 👍👍
It’s just a question of having your own gears to slam onto or just holding a steering wheel and letting the car shift. Opinions vary. Autos are just boring AF to me. Just my opinion! You don’t have to throw BS insults like “ boy racer” whatever the F that means. The Mach 1 is an amazing car either way! I owned a GT500 w the new DCT and I sold it for a Mach 1 manual. I love my Mach. They aren’t fast cars but to me, it’s a lot more fun having useable 470 HP vs 700 plus unusable HP. Either way, you have a beautiful car brother. I have the Fighter Jet with handling appearance and elite pkg. they are awesome cars! Ford def hit it out the park with this one! I am currently shaker hooding and whipple charging mine so it’s in the shop now. Can’t wait to get her back! Enjoy your blue Mach bro. She’s beautiful! Great color! Peace ✌🏼
@ocasio3024 Thank you! The Mach 1 is a great car! Sounds like you are enjoying your car, too! When I made that video a while back, I was getting a lot of comments about the automatic in my car. My video came off a bit snarky towards the manual fans. I drove the manual Mach 1 at the track attack in Charlotte. I had a blast with it on the track! In any case, I would've bought my car regardless of which transmission it had. I've had lots of manuals, but this time I bought this car for a different type of use. I'm very happy with the automatic in my car. It suits the driving I do, especially in gridlock traffic, lol! Keep on building your car to your tastes. But most of all, drive the car as much as you are able. It has enough power to be a lot of fun! Cheers! 👍👍
At least backlight repair on an LG LCD is easier than doing front lighting on the Cadillac DTS. LGs seem to have a reputation, whether rightful or not, for great image quality (in their better-calibrated ISF modes or whatever they call it) and subpar backlights. And as an added bonus, the panel isn't glued in. Folks on the forums just recommend running the backlight at the dimmest tolerable setting to preserve them. For models made in the last ~10 years though, even 70% is plenty for a bright room.
@Browningate you are absolutely correct! Compared to doing the lights on my DTS, taking apart my TV was easy, lol! As it ended up, it was a ribbon connected to the main board that needed attention. I did adjust my settings. Since I made the video, the TV has performed flawlessly. But, in case I ever have a an issue, I kept the new light strips. I now have the experience to pull the TV apart and repair it if necessary. However, if it ends up unrepaired, I will likely shop a different brand to replace it. 👍👍
@@lilredcrvtt Good deal. My grandfather's LG actually fell victim to a burned capacitor on the power supply board. I was ready to tear into the thing and do backlights, but luckily had the presence of mind to try to fire it up first with the back cover off. When I saw smoke (and even a little bit of fire) pouring off of that capacitor, I figured that I had a gopher.
@Browningate that was good diagnostic work! I wasn't as thorough initially. The picture went black, and from my research I assumed it was an LED backlight issue. That seems to be the most common failure point on those TVs. But after testing each LED strip it was apparent that was not the issue. Somehow, through possible heat cycles, one of the ribbon cords attached to the main board had become an issue. This is not a typical failure point, but it was the culprit in my case. Next time, if my TV fails, I'll be checking the capacitors too.
@@lilredcrvtt That's fair. I kind of figured backlights going into it as well. That seems to be where they like to cut corners on LCDs anymore, and the failure mode is almost always the same, regardless of brand, so it's a reasonable assumption to make.
What mileage did you catch this at?
@@BluedupK818 I was tipped off by a friend to check out the tensioner and belt. My car had 200,000 kilometers or approximately 125,000 miles on it. But, I'd recommend checking the belt/tensioner at each oil change just to be sure it's not falling apart like mine.

@BluedupK818 you're welcome, glad I could be of help. The cover is fastened by some bolts as I showed in my video. It can be removed easily, and the entire job doesn't take very long at all. @trevorcunning6248 agreed. I've had many manuals over the years. Road raced, drag raced and generally had a lot of fun. But this time, I bought my car for different reasons. I'm really enjoying having the automatic this time. 👍👍

how does it look at night
@BluedupK818 the new LED lights are very bright and much better than the old HID head lamps. It's worth doing to replace them. 👍
@@lilredcrvtt can you link me what lights you used sir, I subbed thank you

Thank you. Chevy dealer told me that the undercoating caused the clunk in my truck. I’m out of warranty so I’ll have to replace those “ bumpers” myself.
@LarryMacDonald-iw2qj I was fortunate. The dealership warrantied my spring isolator. They are plastic and any sort of oil spray will affect and degrade them. Hopefully your repair won't be too expensive. 👍👍
@@lilredcrvtt I was into the dealer in June and again in July. Undercoated at Crown Aug 1st, had the issue before and after. I argued that it was there before therefore, it can’t be the undercoating. 🥲
@LarryMacDonald-iw2qj the plastic spring isolator might be the problem. It was on my truck. They had "melted" causing the rear to clunk. The likely culprit was the oil spray I had done to my truck. The plastic and soft rubber on those trucks is very suseptible to swelling and degrading due to aftermarket oil spray products. My previous GMC Canyon had the soft rubber headlight seals swell as a result of an oil spray. For the record, GM doesn't recommend any sort of oil spray or rust proofing. Yet, because I live in an area that gets snow and uses a lot of salt or brine to coat the roads, I chose to oil my truck. There are drawbacks. Among them is the swelling of the soft rubber and "melting" of other plastics. You have to weigh the benefits against the consequences of oiling your truck. I was fortunate to have mine repaired under warranty. It must have been a "one-off" situation in my case.
I didn't even know they were available with body-matched front grilles in 2006. Clean example either way though. Those lighter color interiors usually age pretty poorly, (if the used examples available today are any indication) so this one's definitely been cared for. Looking forward to the rest of the series!
@Browningate thank you! My car was very well looked after by the previous owners. I was very pleased to have found my car, especially with the painted front grille. I cleaned the seats using saddle soap. I've found that works better than anything else that's commercially available. The seats were clean and the soap conditions the leather too. 👍👍
@@lilredcrvtt Was the interior pretty icky when you started out? And, given that it's a pre-2009, do the ventilated seats still work, or did the wire connecting to the module finally burn off and need to be reattached?
@Browningate the interior was actually in decent condition. I cleaned the leather using a bar or saddle soap and a microfiber cloth for buffing the leather. I removed the lower rear seat cushion, vacuumed under it as well. Then I steam cleaned the carpets and anything else I could do without damaging any upholstery. I also uses saddle soap on the leather in the door cards. The interior turned out real well! The heated/cooled seats work perfectly too. I checked the connectors and they didn't have any issues or damage. Overall, I'm very pleased with the initial condition of the car. The care the previous owners showed it was obvious. It's been a very good car for me so far. One of my kids has their eye on it, lol! If it goes that way, at least the car will stay in the family.
beautiful car, I have the mach 1 in purple. Can you send me a link to the winglets you put on your front splitter? Cheers.
@nbakiio I don't have a direct link. I bought them from ZL1 Addons. They have a website. Just know that they didn't fit exactly and I had to modify them to fit. Also I couldn't find long enough screws, but fortunately I had a couple in my spare nut and bolt bin to work. I'm happy with the winglets, but be aware you'll need to do some fitting as I did in my video. 👍👍
@@lilredcrvtt thank you for the heads up. I found your winglet video, will check it out.
@nbakiio good luck with them. ZL1 Addons customer service was not so good. I called them for assistance, but they didn't respond. Since I paid in U.S. funds to ship them to me in Canada, returning them was not a desirable option. I made them work. Maybe you might be able to find different ones that will fit better? In any case, the winglets look great on the Mach 1! 👍👍
@@lilredcrvtt I am in Canada as well lol so I feel this pain of paying for shipping to send back, not worth it.
@@nbakiio between the exchange rate and shipping, it wasn't worth trying to send them back. A little fiddling around, and I got them to fit satisfactorily. They look good on the car, and the plastic looks like it could be O.E.M. Living in Canada can be a bit of a challenge when trying to buy stuff for our cars. 👍👍
