Hello and welcome, I'm just a guy who likes talking about knives which will be the main focus of this channel. I will also talk about other subjects from time to time such as knife crime, terrorism, self defence, lighters, crossbows, guns, or anything else I find interesting or of value to the channel. My argument here is, the law says that carrying a knife with a cutting edge of less than 3 inches and is non locking, without a good reason, however the police decided its illegal anyway, just makes the whole thing pointless.

I've mostly been buying vintage an antique tools as of late, as I want to invest in tools for life, and honest the price of knives is just silly, I'm trying to buy less Chinese anything and that includes knives, I still love knives, I'm still collecting knives, and indeed I still want to make knife videos, however I'd like to add some vintage and antique tools to the mix, including but not limi...

Blank Firing Pistol Basics, and Saftey.
Just like that .380 BBM blank revolver being banned over a decade ago, now it's some Turkish-made pistols that have a plastic barrel plug
Hello when you say to wear an army jacket should I wear one which has camo? or can I just wear a olive coloured army jacket? Thank you
Hi, not sure if you're still active on this channel. I just found out that after February 2025, certain Turkish brands of black firing guns WITH blocked barrels and top-venting designs (!!!) are going to be classed as S.5 firearms in England and Wales. Current, law abiding owners are expected to surrender them with NO compensation mentioned. Why? Out of some BS that they're "easily convertible" by criminals. An inkling of knowledge about firearms construction and cartridge pressures is enough to tell that this feat is in fact, too much effort and would fail horribly for someone trying to build a real gun out of a blank replica. Real bonkers this is. I'm currently looking into if Scotland is exempt from this lunacy.
can anyone else confirm that this works?
@@user-saladin why wouldn't it, that's exactly what I did, I don't even know about this until I got an email from Airsoft world about it, and you can see I've got a RIF, I'm not an airsoft player.
@@scotsman7626 fairs. i just paid for just cos. see the number you get do u get it in an email or is it in ur “certificate of insurance”? lol
Iv got one in front of me right now I bought it as a kid from a sport shop in Neath south Wales circa 1992 cost me about £6-£8. Iv had it tucked away all this time but its pitted and corroded so Im about to find out about getting it restored. The writing on mine is engraved though not stamped deep like yours which is why I think I'll get a professional to restore it because Id like to keep the original engraving if possible
I have the yellow Wenger evogrip 18 .
I have the Joseph Rodgers MOD Knife Sheffield it is a fantastic tool love your video.
Mine has 4 mm swing of the handles when closed after a couple of light usage. Philips screw driver is rather useless because it is so small and thus weak. The coating comes down easily. Otherwise can be useful if nothing else is at hand.
You are a lifesaver thank you from the bottom of my heart
What's the name of that boker knife you took apart?
the uk law if fuk up
Why didn't I search for this last week before buying a two toned rifle 😅 Cheers anyway haha
I never heard of a British Army Knife. It reminds me of the marlin spike knives Camilus used to make.
No content for a year. Are you okay sir?
Very nice
Use a diamond sharpener for your MoD knife. That's what I used and it's shaving sharp.
The Scottish Highlands are one of the most beautiful places on earth.
I generally have a leather-man micro and a generic folding knife that takes scalpel blades. great combo for every day.
Weirdly mine did brake . It was the spine on the can opener . Which i never used . I replaced it with the one with the marlin spike which is much more heavily built
I had both spines break. How did you un peen the pins from the donar knife?
@@lookabovelookbelow I didn't. Just took it back for a refund. I was hugely disappointed
@@lookabovelookbelow I got a new knife . The model with the marlin spike . It's much more heavily built
I'm glad replicas exist. Gives folks a chance to appreciate them without having to spend a lot of money
Ridiculous laws will not stop knife crime. A blade that cannot lock is dangerous for the user as it can fold over during use, cutting the backs of ones fingers.
Thank you for your analysis. I am considering purchasing a Work Champ and found your information helpful.
You can legally own a water pistol for self defence in the uk, but don’t get your attacker too wet while they are trying to turn you into a human pin cushion, or they might catch a cold and the police will arrest you for criminal damage
Hello buddy have you still got the leatherman bond? If so what do you think about it do you use it at all I've got 2 of them the old bond vs the new bond why do you not make UA-cam videos anymore i liked your channel thanks buddy
@@LeathermanSurge-q6l I've still got it yes, I'm un aware of any or versions of this multi tool, I think its OK but I honestly prefer the Rebar and wave, but I just keep the Bond in my bag, along with some screwdriver bits and a victorinox huntsman, I didn't used it all that much As for why I've been away, don't even know where to start, not really been keeping up with the knife world, as the quality of knives and multi tool is just not there, and everything being so expensive, and every time I turn the camera on I'm just lost for words, so I haven't really seen the point.
Great idea! What about the 1.5 inch locking awl? This us an inside tool and uses a different locking mechanism. Do i need to disable this also?
@@SimonBirch-dv7vl the wave doesn't have an awls, I really don't know, I wouldn't bother myself
A tad late to the comments but what about credit card style multi tools? Thanks for the informative video.
@@TheDifferentJay most of those are illegal to carry, because almost all of them have a fixed blade knife, daft I know
@@scotsman7626 The Victorinox Swiss Card Classic for example has a removable fixed blade but quite small, though I can't see why a one piece, metal wallet tool like the Mil-Tec paracord survival tool card is seen as an offensive weapon in the eyes of the law, well.. unless it's in the hands of an irresponsible idiot.
I had this model when I was a kid. It was a gift from my grandpa. Sadly it was stolen.
It must suck the big one to live in the UK if you're interested in guns and/or knives.
I have one made by: FAN CO but an unable to find any information on it.
HH always change the items. You never get what is advertised! These are made in China like most of their stuff now!
Chinese Army Knife
I'm from Sheffield and I used one of these everyday for my work. I worked in a fabric mill in Huddersfield for 2.6 years. I lived in the Mill and used it everyday for cutting fabric, opening large packaging as well as food preparation and as cutlery. I love it it was my EDC however although the mine is exceptional and I collect John Nowill Bowie knives, in fact I bought one today from a antiques market in Sheffield from the 1840s. Just be warned the one I have which is like yours got stained with blood from a eating a Steak with is and that's it my friend. It's permanently stained. look after that blade it's a very important piece of UK heritage. John Nowill were granted the right to make knives by the Cutlers Hall in Sheffield on 27th April 1700.So that blade has over 300 years of heritage embedded into its spirit. Take good care of it and it will show you more than a lifetimes worth of loyalty, use and friendship. Congratulations on such a magnificent choice of Sheffield Steel.
Just buy the two tone and the paint wipes off with turps 😂
On your MOD knife use diamonds the diamond sharpeners. It is what I used on mine then ceramic stone and strop. Mine will shave the hair off of your are easily every time
Anything "Announcing" Genuine, usually isn't. Blunt can opener. Dulled end on the Marlin spike. (should be sharp) Badly or un-ground main blade. I'm surprised the blade wasn't stamped "Palitoy". 🤔
Correct
Has it got much weight to it at all?
Just bought one of these revolvers wanna see what they like
All done with vids
IT IS NOT "MADE BY CYBERGUN"!!! It is MADE IN TAIWAN BY KWC (Taiwans CO2 specialists, also makes Crosmans' relica M4 BB Guns), while Cybergun is a FRENCH MARKETING COMPANY that owns the Licensing ONLY!! Do your F'ing RESEARCH before making a Video WORST Review I've EVER SEEN, because you apparentl DON'T KNOW ANYTHING about the gun you are reviewing!! ...... and quit chain-smoking (cough cough
That's my favorite knife too. I buy them whenever I run across one in good shape.
cheasrs
With all due respect, I humbly disagree. The Swiss Army Champ XLT is a very practical knife. I have had mine for 20 years. It is my right front pocket very single day. I don’t even notice it. I strongly recommend it. However, when I purchased mine, the price was just slightly over $100.
That's great, I'm actually glad to hear here that this tool works well for you, hate to think what they price of these are, I think it was 4 or more years ago I bought this, knife prices have gone a bit crazy I think.
I think the law was introduced to allow the police to be able to identify a replica from a real gun. But like a lot of laws in this country it is knee jerk and not thought out. If you want a hand gun that looks real then buy a co2 air pistol . They are extremely realistic copies of real fire arms and not subject to any RIF laws. I just don’t understand the logic of painting airsoft guns bright colours when anyone can buy a co2 air pistol with no restrictions.
Or better yet purchase a real deactivated gun which is completely legal and requires no firearm certification or licensing just a few forms to the home office and away you go. You can literally buy rocket launches and everything (at a hell of a cost of cause)
Neat looking set👍👍
Bro cheers for this lifesaver honestly wow
Have tried to get it
You been keeping ok mate? This one isn’t my cup of tea, but I don’t hate it. I’m also in two minds about these knife less multitool’s. If the tools on them after designed to be used as knives how can they do you for it? Would it stand in court? And on the ones with non locking blades which are in between the handles, how is that locked? Locked would be locked in one fixed position or angle. So because a SAK can’t close when your holding it for them make it a no? It just doesn’t make sense.
Thank you for sharing, mine was purchased in October 1985. Still have it. Just put new set of scales on it. Kept the old ones
Just to clarify a few points. You have to be 18 yo to own an imitation firearm or a RIF, there is no law prohibiting you from owning one. The law prohibits the import or sale of RIFs without a valid defence, that defense being for the benefit of the seller, making it legal for them to sell it to you. Imitation firearms are supposed to be at least 51% a prescribed bright color - Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Pink or Purple, any other color is not lawful. Most retailers bend the rules selling pistols with only the slides painted, for instance. Once you have purchased a brightly colored gun, it is VERY MUCH illegal to change them into a RIF by altering the color in any way & could, theoretically land you inside for a couple of years, unless of course you have a valid defense by then. I don't know about gifting RIFs, as there is no law against owning them, I would think it's ok. You most definitely cannot sell them to anyone without a valid defense though. Importing RIFs is no problem, if you have a defense, there is no reason why customs would seize them. Most foreign retailers won't sell to the UK without a UKARA number & this will be marked on the customs paperwork, they will most likely check them, to make sure they are imitations though, which may slow things down a little
i like the old lock better too, but the advantage here is that the liner locks 2 tools instead of just the blade. and seeing as the other locking tool is often used as a prybar, it does seem like a useful improvement.
