Welcome to my channel for tutorials on all things crafty.
If you’re new to crafts and just starting out or looking for some fun inspiration to get the creative juices flowing then I believe my channel will have something for you.
I mainly focus on resin art as this is my biggest passion but don’t be shocked to see other elements such as concrete crafts and acrylic pouring thrown in along the way. However, regardless of the medium, I make sure that my videos are catered to newbies and are super easy to follow. Not only this but I do my best to use as many of the same tools and materials as possible throughout all my videos so that, should you wish to follow along at home, you will not need to buy all sorts of elaborate products to keep up.

DIY Boho Coasters | Cosy Home Decor | Easy Craft Tutorial
Hello!
I hope you are all doing well! Today I’m showing you how I made these super easy #boho coasters.
What I love about these is that I think they look more impressive than they actually are. Once you see how they’re made you’ll think “oh, is that it?!”.
These #coasters a great choice too if you’re looking to make a bunch of gifts for family and friends. You can make so many once you’ve got the materials you need. One spool of rope, one bag of beads, one ball of wool, a roll of cork…it’s a mass-production activity if you want it to be! This makes for a great project to do with a #craft group too.

@@hscraftytutorials Oh, OK. So I can try my UV resin for this?
@@NancySimonds Yes definitely!! You can get the little cells with uv resin too. I tried it later on. Just be ready with the uv light so that the cells don’t clump back together as one colour. I don’t know if it was just me or if this is typical uv resin behaviour but just be prepared in case ☺️

Hi Gabriele, there aren’t any in the video but the process is exactly the same as the 2nd coat so just repeat the steps twice. Hope that helps ☺️

Salut! Il n'y a rien de plus ajouté au blanc, c'est littéralement juste du pigment blanc et voilà ce qui lui arrive. J'espère que cela aide ☺️
You must put something like Mod Podge on before you paint the flowers, or they will get brittle.

What products made the beach one exactly?
Hi Kitty. The beach one was made with sand and resin for the base and then a 2nd coat of resin for the waves. I have other videos on my channel of the start to finish process for resin beach projects ☺️❤️

Why do you have to boil and let sit 3 times over night
Hi Shelly! We boil so that the salt dissolves and we leave the solution to sit so that it has a chance to do its thing where it grows little crystals. If you want a more technical/scientific answer then I’m afraid I’m fresh out of those 😅❤️

Haha so do I! I lived in the US at the time that I made this tutorial but now that I live back in the UK, I believe it would still work. It’s not the heat that’s needed, just some sunlight. Ideally, yes, lovely bright sun but we take what we can get 🤣
Since polymer clay is oil based couldn't I just use baby oil in its place of water? Then I wouldn't need all the other ingredients.

@@hscraftytutorials I've mixed oil to make frosting for certain bakes and it works great! I think it def needs another binder if you use it as a pourable bakeable clay (I tried it today 😅. Makes for fluffy clay!)

Why do we do mod podge step??
Hi there! The mod podge step is so that we can get the salt to stick to the mold. The glue needs to be waterproof so that when the solution is added, it doesn’t break down ☺️

Good question, I don’t know though. Mine is still good from when I made this batch for the video. I suggest not making too much at once to make sure you use up what you have before it possibly goes ‘off’. I’ve not needed to remix either 👍🏻

I didn't get the same results using the paint it wouldn't cure all the way even days later but I did mix it with micro powder other than that I used the same brand did anyone else have this issue too??
Hi Amanda, I’m wondering if you maybe added a little too much paint so that the paint to resin ratio was a little too high. You should only add a very small amount due to acrylic paints being water based. Hope this helps and thanks very much for watching my video ☺️

Hi! ❤️ Yes this can be baked in the same way as shown in the video. As for baking on its own then I’m not sure of the results. I only made it as a substitute product for holding clay together similar to how the Sculpey product is typically used ☺️
