theoretically theres no reason why you cant, but this requires multiple frame perfect attacks. maybe you can find a consistent setup for it that doesnt require guessing

No, "Seeded" means the speedrun is done in an already generated seed which has the essential elements to accomplish the run as fastest as possible (Also, the speedrunner already know the seed content, including set pieces, locations, etc. in order to get the required resources as fast as possible) The seeds are different depending of the run's main goal. "Unseeded" on the other hand means the speedrun is done in a brand new generated seed in that exact moment. (For example, Seeded is when you use a seed created before the speedrun, created by you or someone else, Unseeded is when you create a brand new world in the exact moment you are going to start the run, so everything that world contains is unknown for the speedrunner) Bad english btw, hope it helps :D

When toadstool gets hit he goes into hitstun for 0.5s. During the tree spawning phase theres a 2 second timer that counts down between spawning each tree. If hit on the right frame, toadstool will leave the hitstun state right as the timer between the trees end, which leads to an event not triggering that resets the timer (for the next tree). Normally this timer repeats 7 times (first tree is immediate then subsequent trees are supposed to be spawned 2 seconds apart for a total of 8 trees), but messing up the first timer prevents the rest of the trees from spawning after the initial one.
