This was a wonderful review, I really enjoyed your takes on things and I agreed with so much that you've had to say. I would love to see you cover the second game.

Many people I've heard complaining that the game is full of cliché horror movie tropes, but I don't see how it's bad! Yes, maybe it is predictable for people who watch a lot of horror (unlike me), but I think that tropes are good if there is a good reasoning and if it is well thought out without plot holes. I think the game made a pretty good job at making the story not hard enough to not be able to predict what certain choices will bring and yet still keep a few twists in the plot and some rather surprising deaths.

Sadly I lost Jess and Mike. Jess because I was too cautious trying to save her. Mike because I didn't let him have the flare gun. Otherwise I think I did a pretty damn good job saving everyone. ... ... And then I got a little too trigger happy during the finale and blew up everyone but Chris at the last minute.

I got chris killed cuz I kept trying to kill Ashley, I got Matt saved by being assertive and getting flare gun, I got Jessica killed cuz I didn't take the fast route, I got Ashley killed by following the fake voice of Jess, and then I got Mike and Sam killed by screwing up the end and getting Sam got and Mike blew up the house but Emily had ran out of the house before so I only survived with Matt and Emily my first play through cuz I missed the butterfly tattoo for Josh and Hannah womp womp lol

Not gonna play Captain Hindsight with the choices made, but I am curious how many totems you found/which ones. Some are super useless but some help you triangulate (along with in-game lore) what the right choice is. #Justice4Emily 😂

please continue these retrospectives for the other games, just watched this and the previous video in succession and loved the way you went about them, its clear how much effort went into making these and the love you have for the games. the walking dead games mean so much to me and watching these reminded me of that, and would love to see more from you!!

To say that Emily is always mean towards Matt is really ignorant, considering you meant this to be an informational video on the game and it's characters. Emily can be mean, but she loves Matt. If you, the player, pick the right choices, she's pretty decent. You seem to not have mentioned a scene they shared that really explored their relationship and made the player understand why they're together. And why didn't you know this? Because that scene is only available for people who pre-ordered the game. Now, I would understand that it's not on yours, so you didn't know.. but you could've done your research. It's not that hard to find clips of it on YT. I happen to love Emily the most. I know a lot of people don't, so it's expected I'll hear a lot of insults about her. But I'm honestly getting tired of hearing them. Thank goodness for Dylan is in trouble.. he said he fell in love with Emily by playing as her. She's a bi*ch, but she's intelligent, resourceful, diligent, and the most level headed out of all of them, except for maybe Sam. When finding out Josh was de*d, she kept calm while everyone else was crying and freaking out over what to do. And while talking to Matt, she said she wished to have seen for herself as it didn't seem real.. and what do you know? She was right! Like, maybe put her attitude in the back of your mind and actually focus on her skills instead. She's not insufferable by any means. Honestly, you are just by those few lines.

tbh i kind of like your branches of Mike dying after killing Emily. not only ✨ poetic ✨, but you could imagine the guilt and disgust Mike would carry if he survived the night after wrongly shooting Em

I feel like all the gruesomeness of the dog bite situation becomes worth it in the final season. It makes perfect sense that you may ask, “What is Clem afraid of?” And “Dogs” being one of the answers. I thought Clem making peace with dogs through Rosie was a great scene, given the largest scar on her is from the dog bite

32:00 one thing i disagree with is sera being the way she is from being coddled she shows signs of having a sever anxiety disorder or possibly even autism and sensory issue which would only really be improved through meds. and it would make sense why Carlos says she's not like everyone else if that's the case

Fun fact: The Wendigos seen in this game are the most accurate take on the folktale in fiction Most other media with Wendigos in use a design with antlers which is actually a whitewashed version of the monster made by Europeans This silly slasher game pays more respect to Native Americans than any other form of media featuring Wendigos

I still have no idea how to get emily to die. I played with my family a few times, and everyone always hated emily, so we actively tried to get her to die, but it never seemed to work until having mike shoot her.

I will always remember two deaths: Chris's death, and everyone else's death was alive at the cabin during the final act. Now, I couldn't keep the controller still for the life of me at the time, so the wendigo killed the flamethrower man and I got so scared. Made it to the lodge with the wendigo hot on my tail, and panic set so far into my skull, that I forgot the weakness of the wendigo: fire. I also didnt find the totem you found, so I tried killing ashley. So, when I tried shooting the wendigo with the shotgun, and saw it flailing, only for the door not to be opened because Ashley refused to open the door for chris really sent into a spiral. And when hannah during the final act was trying to get out the house, I had no idea what it was implying, and thought everyone already left. So I accidentally set the entire cabin on fire prematurely. Mike was a real one though

As a teenage gir that had had teachers that were pedofiles due to how they acted towards me. And so on my first play through when I first saw David I didn’t like him. Even after he had ‘proved himself’ I STILL couldn’t shake the feeling that he is not to be trusted. I swear that my feeling of distrust weren’t about ‘oh it’s an apocalypse so we shouldn’t trust anyone’ and it had to do with the general vibe of this man. (The writing is amazing that they had actually managed to make the subtile change in David’s character to make him FEEL like an actual pedo without actively saying it out loud)
