WALKING TOUR OF DOWNTOWN CHICAGO WITH EPIC DRONE FOOTAGE!
C'mon it ain't "deadly". Some scrambling (without the fearsome music BTW ). No macho stuff...it's a hike. The real danger is portraying it as "deadly". Real danger is weather, your fitness, and the attitude to show and tell as an epic. Give us a break. Done it many times.
The Knife Edge is no joke, and I certainly wouldn’t want anyone hiking it without looking up the risks. It can and has taken lives.
@@EpicRnR No lives have been "lost" on the Knife Edge EXCEPT under severe weather. Users' error, not the trail.
One of my favorite spots. Love the cool brook water there. Your videos are making me home sick..in a Good way. Glad I just stumbled upon y’all. ☺️ It’s a pleasure to watch them.
Glad you like them!
The most special place. I am always thrilled to see that people enjoy it as much as I did growing up near by. A blessing for all who stop there. 💞✨✨
Yes, such a blessing to be out there in nature! And what a beautiful place to visit!
Avalanche. Enjoyed your video. I hiked it aug-sept of this year. I remember that avalanche section and I remember how Glenn Pass (unexpected) kicked my butt. At Pinchot, I named the area Mordor. That one was difficult, because the climb getting there, NOBO was long, hot and little to no water.
Yes, we it was an avalanche, as we later discovered. Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it!
Pure Beauty!
Yes!
Awesome video! I could hear all the huffing and puffing like we were doing 😂 The views from the passes were spectacular! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved your video. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Now that was a smart move in his part!! I would’ve done the same… There aren’t rules to winning the game!
Yum
Luv puffball pizza!
puffballs! you can eat them :3
What an exciting find! Congratulations
Yes it was!
🙏 🍽️🎉 x o
Just finished a hike from Kewsakum to Greenbrush last Sunday, was great to see the same spots in reverse.
Great! I love it there!
Nice job on the video. Captured beautifully. Brian narrated the hike very well.
Thank you!
Nice Job on the video! What an adventure it was. Can't wait to go back! 😀
Yes it was!
That was too funny.. everyone crawled and my hubby just walked right over.. I on the other hand just took my shoes off and walked through the water. 😂😂😂😂
You were the smartest one of the bunch!
Just get up and run across that thang😂😂😂 or rock hop👁️ Maine things
😄
Beautiful! Did you see any campers/backpackers camping near the lake? Not sure if there are suitable spots!
Yes, there was actually a campsite where we took a lunch break.
I think your video is a pretty good summary of knife's edge and chimneys notch was definitely the most challenging
Yes, it was the hardest part for sure!
This music is totally unnecessary
True, but it’s such a fun song!
Yeah I agree it competes with the narration. If anything I’d turn the volume down and replace it with an instrumental version only
Nice! What camera and mount did you end up using for this?
We used our phones, and protected it with a waterproof case.
Fantastic video. Thank you so much for providing this. You guys rock! Videos like yours definitely go a long way to motivate me to climb Mount Whitney soon
I’m glad you enjoyed our journey! Go out there and do it! You won’t regret it!
Great video Rayven! I felt like I was back there! Beautiful!
Glad you enjoyed it!
❤it!!
Thanks for following along!
I own a Lanshan One, with an inner mesh and 'T' zips, and I like it a lot. Re: your tent pegs. I don't know the ones you use but I use aluminum star-type ones. Their one disadvantage is that they can be painful on the palms your hands, and often needed to be finalised with a push from the sole of my boot. But not anymore, I bought a small plastic 'T' plumbing unit from my local hardware store. I fit the vertical tube of the 'T' over my peg, and the horizontal part of the 'T' rests in my hand. I then just push the peg into the ground, so no palm pain, no need to use my boot, it works so well.
Camped at wass stream lean-to last night, i woke up at 5 am to a moose 10 feet away from the lean-to, and this somehow popped on my recommendation! Good coincidence
How cool!
3:15 i had a panic attack and couldn't get past this part, you guys made it look easy!!!
It wasn’t easy, but one of our best adventures for sure!
I just learned of this video today! I'm the guy with the yellow X-Men (X) TRAINEE shirt! 2023 was my first Mudder, and your group was right by mine! I wish I remembered the name of the guy who helped me through so much! I had been disappointed that Tough Mudder Official had no photos of me in 2023. I just ran the 2024 Tough Mudder Chicago yesterday, August 24, and had a blast my second time around.
I’m glad you enjoyed the video! We just ran again yesterday too! So much fun!
@EpicRnR Outstanding! Wish I could have linked up with you guys. Perhaps next year! Ive got 2 down, and look forward to more. You have a new subscriber!
Those horses are not playing they are itching 😂
Yes, but is sure looks like they’re having fun!
What a beautiful view!❤ Must be even better in person!
It really is!
Esau’s children love hiking and being one with nature. It comes from their forefather.
Incredible!!
Yes it was!
I live about 25 miles from FC and hike there three times a week (MWF). I've been on all of the trails you covered, during various seasons, and they are truly great. Growing up in the area, several families and friends would picnic there during warmer weather, so it holds many wonderful memories for me, 77 years later. FYI, the Boyscout Trail you ventured on was the only road into the park for many years, and it was "thrilling" coming down those narrow roads in a car. My mom always grabbed onto my knee when we descended into the park. Once we got to our picnic spot, our parents cooked up the best fried chicken dinners with all the fixings (French fries, salads, and wonderful homemade pies). I'll be back there, again, next week. Thanks for a great tour!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
So can’t wait to hike Katahdin. We couldn’t get camping this year, next year I’m nailing the dates down. We did Mount Washington though and in September we’re doing Mount Lafayette so we’re getting the peaks in.
That’s great! You’re gonna love it!
@@EpicRnR Definitely! I can’t stay away from the mountains long. Katahdin and Lafayette are both gonna be Go Pro worthy.
@@matthewgallant3622 Absolutely!
Thanks for sharing your adventure.
You’re welcome!
I enjoyed your video i ride through these fox River trails alot. Its so beautiful and peaceful. Happy Riding 🚴🚴♀️🚴♂️
Glad you enjoyed it!
Did you guys pay for 5 nights of camping at that campsite? Or do they let you park there while you’re gone?
You can park there while you’re gone if you do the Cirque of Towers.
nothing deadly about it.Granted knife edge will scare the hell out of you but it's not a deadly trail i think that reason that it's not as deadly as it could be is because the BSP rangers have the authority to close the mountain if they believe that it's unsafe to climb
It’s definitely scary, and can be deadly if you don’t watch your footing, but it’s all perspective. Happy hiking!
Beautiful! Thank you for taking Leah along😊
You’re welcome! She is a joy to be around!
It's gorgeous there & the video is splendid! As a rank beginner & almost a senior, I'd say that 4 mi. would be the maximum I could do, with my existing level of fitness, so anyone hiking 10 mi a day is quite fit, to me!
Thank you! Any number of miles covered on the trail is an accomplishment in my book! Happy hiking!
Omg…………… you guys are amazing. You hiked like a whole huge mountain that thousands of other people have been doing for decades. Omg……so amazing, like are you 2 really humans? You should get an award because you are sooooooo brave and sooooo determined. I am sooooo inspired by your courage.
Glad you enjoyed the video!
It is helpful to see each approach trail via video. I went up Abol and down Hunt last week. Was hoping there was an easier trail, but there really isn't.
@@katherinecollins9636 No there isn’t, but it’s worth it!
Nice job documenting your experience. I’ve hiked Katahdin a bunch but never tried this excursion. Looks like fun!
Thanks for watching! You should definitely try it! So much fun!!
Pure Michigan…I love being a Troll living under the Mackinaw bridge in this great state.
Thanks for watching!
Loved your video… Glad to see the youth out there with you!
Was it in Spring? During the summer, I only saw patches of snow up there
It was during the month of June 2022. The complete video is on our channel if you’re interested.
We never will or can ever build such quality work ever again look up all the world's fairs in the past, and see how well-built they were and able to house up to 300,000 people and yet we're only temporarily built took two years to build to be open for 6 months and closed and the amount of lights and all of that there is amazing it's almost lights up like Vegas
