A look through my toolbox and cart, snap on epiq with 3 lockers. Tool polishers and perfectionists beware, no cleaning or preparation was done prior to filming. This is as is when I unlocked it in the morning. I stay pretty busy, so yup, the floor is a little dirty right now, some cores are on the floor and some tools still on the car I am working on.

dumb question HOW do you hook it to your computer
yea i ant got a controller fff f hand held controller i got a fu tek i am thinking ill just get a megasquirt the microsquirt unit and gut the futek and wire it in loads better computer as it runs coil does turbo stuff and android tablets can be used as a dash and to tune so hands down better 400 bucks well spent but sad this thing is as bad as it is hand held must be for idiots lol

Man back in the day I would cut the cage/ then cut the race and knock it off with an air hammer. Brutal but it was fairly clean work. I still have shims and spacers in my box that are probably 30 years old. I would get 6 hours to rebuild a diff in a tahoe or suburban.

This is a terrible system. No instructions. No support. I've got the entire swap done, the only thing keeping the jeep from running is this pile of sh*t software and handheld. Should have installed the original ECU from the donor truck.
hack a microsquirt usa made sweet ecu into it i bought one and am doing just that and gut the futek and wire it in 2 wire batch fire mode easy as f loads better computer as it runs coil 2 and a new unit just came out does turbo stuff and android tablets can be used as a dash and to tuning 2 just like the laptop but hands down better 400 bucks well spent but sad this thing is as bad as it is hand held must be for idiots lol

What do you estimate you have invested in your tools?
What was the front strut setup and rear end setup? Spool and c clip elminiators?
Wasn't an ideal setup, but stock front struts and springs, with limiters. 9" rear with a spool.
@@rumbleracer1 I currently am running stock front struts that are locked up lol. Car is starting to spin the tires on the motor running 6.50s. I’m thinking about doing a Lakewood 90/10 with a coil over setup but don’t know what spring to go with
A 6.50 car won't need anything too extravagant. This car was much much faster than that. A 90/10 and a stock spring would probably be fine. A good shock on the back and proper rear control arm angle is important too. These hits were in the 1.teen to low 1.20 60'.
@@rumbleracer1 My car will more than likely be in the 5.30s. It’s a 430 ci turbo motor with a 94mm turbo, just recently got it running and trying to get some seat time before turning it up. I plan to class racing at 6.0 and work my way down into the low 5s
If you plan on running low 5's, you need to do the opposite of 90/10s and get an adjustable strut so you can slow down the front suspension. You'll be doing wheelies with a 90/10. Something adjustable will give you room to grow. At lower power levels, you need that quick extension to plant the tires. With more power, you need to slow extension down and use the cars power and rear suspension/anti squat to plant the tires. I'm pretty sure viking now makes a double adjustable front strut, and their rear DA's are good too
I'm trying to remember; are Honda pumps 8 segments? Glad you put this up. Knocking the cob-webs out of my head. It's been many years since I did any lab scope work like this. I don't know why more shops don't utilize this test. Great job!
Did you have to swap wiring for the coils and injectors for different firing order, or is there a way to select the traditional firing order in FiTech's unit?

I feel sad to see a video so well made not recognized. I just recently started working in a shop about 1 1/2 we work on cars from 60s-2014ish, and this information is just gold. Wish you could make more but understand that its alot to ask for thanks for the video anyways.

It is neither. It's a traditional sbc with a 24 tooth reluctor wheel added in front of the crank gear, behind the balancer. Allows the use of an LS engine management system

Start out stock, modify as you improve as a driver. Springs, shocks, sway bars. No need to dive in real deep at first.

Just saying you dont need all that shit to get the job done nice to have but some is just not needed would love to expand my setup but my age dont want to do a lot anymore haha. Just my projects that is it tool list is gonna grow money in it is like buying a house crazy, cuz tech pay isnt were it's at I'm a tech and will not ever be able to retire, sad but true but that is why we do what we do for the people, crazy yes but work is work right.
