Tired of flimsy peg boards? Cant figure how to hang that one tool. Then build a custom tool wall.
I build a tool wall for organization of all of my hand tools / things I need readily available. I add some shelves to store all of my hand planes. And I go over some of the building techniques I used for hanging tools.

Learning how to make a pickleball paddle and I try to make a super fancy one. I make three paddles. The first is a plywood paddle with a curly walnut veneer. The second paddle is sapele hardwood. The third paddle is made with a polypropylene honeycomb core lined with fiberglass and then topped with a mahogany crotch veneer. So nice! Do you have measurements for the tapering jig? Whats the name of the hardware used at the adjustable end of the jig? Thanks!

      The long pieces were 3”x 24” but you could go longer or shorter. I used a 1/4 -20 threaded insert with a correspondingly sized bolt. I prefer the threaded inserts that are zinc and use hex keys for driving the insert in. Stay away from the brass ones with the flat head driver top, they break easily.

    Love these. A question: if you had kept the paper adhered to the 3/8” pieces and simply attached them paper-side-down, would there have been much of a difference in the final look of the planter?

    Great video, content, instructions, etc. Been a subscriber since the beginning. You haven't disappointed. Not sure why or how your channel hasn't grown more than it has, but you truly deserve more views & subscribers. Keep up the great work. Unfortunately, YT's algorithm set up is whack! Of course, that's my own personal opinion. Many other channels I've came across are in the same boat due to the algorithm BS. Keep grinding 💪! Tony - Central Coast Cali 🇺🇸

    The Sun... I built a three tiered planter out of cedar last year. I did the ends of the box like you did. End grain up. That was the easiest. I noticed that all 6 ends cracked. You have that problem too?

    • @andrewshotts
      @andrewshotts Місяць тому

      Nothing yet. My thinking was the sides would expand and contract inline with the bottom piece. I think gaps and cracks are probably inevitable with so much exposure to weather.

    Nice work. Easy, cheap and looks great. And pocket hole joinery is a perfectly acceptable choice, especially when they're hidden. PS ..
