      @JohnRichterAustin 22 дні тому

      I know how frustrating it can be to learn things the hard way. I've been there. There is not really a set standard of where wires can run through the lid because they can move around when the foam insulation is being added. At least the light is non-critical. We could add a general rule to do a little bit of exploring before you drill the actual hole. Thanks for sharing your experience.

    Hi John, I want to thank you for that thorough explanation of ozone generators, especially the information about our Aqua-Series ozone generators and how they are not appropriate for a cold plunge tub. We have seen very, very few people who have had success with those. The pumps cannot withstand that much pressure from the deep water. It is like clockwork, around 6 to 8 months, they will come in for warranty repair. We were servicing those as if they were under warranty as a courtesy, but we no longer offer that. We will service them for a fee, but honestly, it does not make sense to have them serviced, just for the pump to go out in 6 to 8 months. We do tell our customers on the website and when asked that the Aqua-Series is intended for household use, and we want our customers to have success with their cold plunge set-ups. Thanks also for being a great source that I can send my customers to when they have questions beyond my expertise. I wanted to mention that the engineer will have a great alternative for the MP-3000 to work with these cold plunge tubs.

    What material do you use as the layer between the chest freezer and the water?

    Wish I had seen this before spending a few hours figuring it out! The instructions are abysmal - written for someone who knows about these things, certainly not for a new user. Mines is all up & running very well thanks to my patience & a few adjustments. As you say, set the high & low alarms way outside the limits of the application you are using it for or the alarm can be very intrusive. I'm using mine on an old fridge I'm using as a cheese maturing cave 😊

    So I hit the wires on my lid. Is it done for or is it just for light and everything else works as normal? Please help.

    • @JohnRichterAustin
      @JohnRichterAustin 5 місяців тому

      It will be fine. If the wires on the outside of the lid and outside of the chest freezer have a quick disconnect, just disconnect it. If the wire is held in place by screws, you might need to remove them first. If there is not a quick disconnect, just cut the wire and put a wire cap on both ends. Use a piece of electrical tape to ensure they stay in place. After doing this do not worry about the wire inside the lid because it will bo longer has any current.
