She ain’t lying either ! I do the same thing and my hair is down my back 😁I wash my hair once a month sometimes one every 2 months lol I oil 2 times a week and grease my scalp 4 times a week ! I wear wigs or braids months at a time take my hair down wash it and repeat 😂✅

You know what, I just had crochet braids in for about 5 weeks. I washed my hair the week prior to taking them down. My hair was beyond moisturized in a way that I will never understand. I washed again a week later and it was still great and also a week after that. I just went to the salon to straighten and it’s grown soo much since august. And still healthy cuz I will damage my hair quickly in two months time lol

If you do this put the crochet hook through the braid, not under near your scalp. Putting it near your scalp will make you lose hair at the root, especially near the hairline.

Yes mam box braids work wonders too. My hair is mid back length now due to just throwing in some box braids and leaving my hair tf alone. I’m hoping to have it tailbone length by spring for my graduation 🫡 silk press.

lol, wigs are beyond protective for me, I have only just started having more fun with them. Might be a mid life crisis,but I like the longer lengths, as I typically used to be a 12 inch person, even 14 felt too long in a wig but now I am fully grown, I am having a lot of fun, whilst obviously caring for my own hair, using minimal but effective moisturisation (not store bought) and now my iron levels are better I am hoping she flourishes.

It is true that with less manipulation, hair will grow like a weed. I have locs and don't mess with them. I do daily scalp massages and weekly hair washing, and I use a satin bonnet. Less is more.

Yeah, my hair grew a ton when I had a partial sew-in (with kinky hair extensions) but I struggle to retain the same length without it. I think I'm going to get it again for the fall & winter

How do I wash my hair in crochet? I'm in middle school and I'm trying to grow my hair. When I do protective styles like mini twists or braids, my hair shrinks up so badly, and I get made fun of by people in my school. I want to start doing crochet because my hair is hidden and protected, and people won't make fun of me. It also looks nice. The only thing stopping me from getting crochet is that I do sports and I sweat. This means I have to wash my hair more often, but I don't know how to wash my hair in protective styles without it getting so frizzy. I was planning on getting them after my sports season is over which is in the fall. If you read thia far, thank you and I apologize for the long paragraph.

Period. I will braid my hair every 3 months and my hair grows really fast. My daughter’s hair is very long bc I keep her hair put up too!
