A collection of video snippets looking back at the GCR's 2014 Autumn Gala that were never published at the time. A reminder of life in pre-lockdown times!

Following on from the Boll aero 1.8, I thought I would tackle the Boll/Jenkins 'Cicada'. This little video covers the running-in from the first time it fired to it being able to run through a full tank of fuel.

A random collection of some of my models, past and present, stumbled upon whilst browsing some old DVDs. Whilst model flying and videoing has been a little scarce of late, especially with the Covid 19 outbreak, I thought that a little reminder of flying at Salisbury Plain, Beaulieu, Chobham Common, Warwick Racecourse and the much missed Middle Wallop, might be in order. A first day out flying for many a day following poor weather and the Covid 19 lockdown, saw us making a trip to Salisbury Plain on what turned out to be a glorious flying day (31st August 2020). Michael had the chance to test fly his newly-built Bugaboo Mk6. I have combined this with some shots of my own Bugaboo for comparison. (These were filmed at Middle Wallop and Beaulieu).

Filmed on Friday 19th. October, the first day of the gala, a day blessed by sunshine and blue skies. A most enjoyable day even though the timetable went somewhat out of the window later on.

Filmed at the 2018 Scale Weekend at Old Warden on Sunday 22nd. July 2018. All the aircraft (except the "Ballerina") are scale models of models, the "Wedgy", "Junior 60", "Bugaboo", "Simplex", and "Tomboy".

Filmed at Area 8, Salisbury Plain during the SAM 1066 meeting on the 15th July 2018.

Filmed on the 10th June 2018 featuring the "Lulu Mk2" and the Vic Smeed "Meteorite".

This video includes two engines started (by myself) for the first time, the Indian Mills and the Arden 099 with the variable choke type throttle. The Arden is proving to be a bit of a learning- curve!

Filmed on Sunday 25th. March, the final day of the Spring Gala, 2018.

Filmed on Sunday 8th. October 2017, some random snippets shot on a day out on the railway, including loco turning on the Norton triangle.

Filmed on the 2nd. September 2017, on one of the best free-flight flying days of the year so far. We chose to go to Salisbury on the Saturday instead of North Luffenham on the Sunday after checking the weather forecast. The only trouble with bright sunshine is that it makes filming quite difficult with too much dazzle on the screen, so the results are a bit limited. Still, the "Spearhead Junior...
