Thankyou to those that pointed this out.

1. Environmental Conditions
First consider your your environment, is it hot, cold or tropical? Choose a fish that suits your environmental conditions.
2. Feed Sources
What food to you have access to feed your fish? Will you grow duckweed? Will you breed black soldier fly larvae?
3. Purpose
Are you wanting fish to eat or just for producing waste to feed your plants?
4. Size
How big will your fish tank be and how many fish will you stock? Is it a small desktop system, that is great for a siamese fighting fish(betta) or a big system, that would be great for delicious Murray cod.
5. Is it legal?
The fish you want, could be classified as an invasive species. So remember to check with the local fishery department.

You clearly aren’t from anywhere along the Murray darling basin because if you were you’d know silver perch thrive in temperatures cooler than you mentioned

Most fish will eat earthworms as well and raising worms is east. All you got to do is make sure there’s water on the soil not everyday depending on what climate your in but when there new it’s important to satisfy there needs. I bought 1000 worms 5 years ago and there still alive and producing o yea keep the chickens away from the soil there in cause chickens are savages lol had to fight them one day haha

Also something interesting to note. Cold water dosent kill fish. So when big fish farms move there fish from the pond to a trucks they have a tank that’s set to a colder temperature so fish can survive if it’s hotter it can kill the fish. That’s why when you buy pet goldfish they tell you to set the bag in the aquarium so the water in the bag will gently level out to the temp in the aquarium that’s extremely important fish are more sensitive than you may believe

Cold water definitely kills fish what are you talking about. It's just as harmful as water that's too hot

It’s not a fact that all catfish are bottom feeders either you can train them from birth to eat on the surface. This is good so you can see them, you wanna know how there doing so having them come to you is good

I remember putting flathead catfish in one of my aquaponic systems... it was a horrible idea because they are difficult to handle... 6 of them died and i still have no idea why... the ratio of fish to bio filtration was perfect and there was no solid waste buildup, food was protein rich.... it may have been an infection or disease... i replaced them with goldfish after some big adjustments
