The 1975 at their very best, live at MSG! You probably know if you've followed for awhile that I love The 1975. I didn't catch them in Vancouver, a ferry and a drive away on a Wednesday and I had to work (boo!). But my cousins went and said they were spectacular. The version this is from is from The 1975's "At Their Very Best" live from Madison Square Garden. The original album version was from...

Outstanding 👍
GREAT BASS PLAYING AND FEEL DELIVERED WITH A BEAUTIFUL SMILE
nice, what device are you using? probably just a little adjustments on making the bass a little bit louder and making the song as the background. overall, cool cover!
Hey there, didn't see your comment, apologies! It's actually very loud if you listen through headphones. The p bass is plugged directly into the Focusrite Scarlet 4 (also in the description). I record over the track in audio wave and then line them up in movie maker. Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely day!
🔥🔥🔥
cant hear this without emotion and remembering Tina singing w Ayrton Senna on stage in the 90s ... simply the best
nice playin.. what string do you use?
@christantonugroho8018 thanks! Nylon tapewound on this bass. One jazz I own has flats, a few other basses have roundwounds.
Wow this sounds fantastic! What is your approach when learning a song, Amanda? Do you play by ear or can you sight read? Thanks for posting these great vids! Have a great day 🫶
@neilmorrow9756 this one I played along and read. Some tunes I rip through chordify if I'm going through the changes and riffing, this one I wanted to learn spot on.
@@AmandaRogersarock1988that is a great talent to possess. You have a great gift in music 👍
The country bass line sure has evolved over the years. Not as simplistic. You really play this genre well Amanda. You need a cowboy hat to complete the look though 😁 great playing as usual 🫶
@neilmorrow9756 thanks, Neil! This one too sits behind the beat and I found it difficult to really lay that far back on the beat if that makes sense. The P bass is truly a killer for country, sounds so good.
Nice bit of country bass playing Amanda! The player p really sounds sweet! ❤
@neilmorrow9756 it really does! (I have a fun bass coming that is truly wild) and decided to also upgrade to the Focusrite and it may not be that noticeable, but when playing I can notice. I still have my duo capture for every day computer use, but it's about 14 or so years old, so I didn't feel bad changing it up.
@@AmandaRogersarock1988 oh a new bass! Can’t wait to see and hear it 👍
@@neilmorrow9756 it feels like a whooole lotta bass for me, haha! It may take awhile to debut!
Wow such an upbeat bassline Amanda! This looks so much fun to play. Love the fast runs they are the business and you executed the timing perfectly! Really enjoyed this video and love that buttercream precision! Are you using the Ampeg pedal in this recording? Anyway have a top day! 🫶🫡
@@neilmorrow9756 thanks, Neil! No straight into the Roland duo capture with this one. 😊 .
This bass cover is different to the original right? This one is easier
@@Saria-a I can't say I learned the original, just riffed off the chords 😀
@@AmandaRogersarock1988 Thank you for answering! This bass cover is easier and also sounds according to the song, great job! 😊👍
I love this song, thank you for playing it.I could listen to this over and over again. 👍
Wish I could play like you....your having so much fun
@tommieblaylock684 you can have way much fun no matter how long you have played 🥰
I LOVE your stile!!!!!! Yeah!!!! Buenisimooooolo
EPIC

@@MrSrtman18 many years. You'll get there!!
@@AmandaRogersarock1988 lol thanks. I commented on judas, i wanted to play bass. Well. Im playing kind of lol
Brilliant

👍👍🎼🇺🇸
I don’t mean to be a dick, but if you did it from above, I could see which hand is it in the open high hat, I assume the right
You are a g.o.a.t! Hail from Ukraine, btw you cant just interrupt the most epic part of a song like that :D Will follow you for a content !
Top demais!!
Nice Riff!
Great View!
Muy bien! Felicitaciones!
Love that song
Brilliant
Love this. Can you share the bass tabs please ?
Hey thanks! I played along on chordify and just filled the line in, so no tabs on this one.
Very well done Amanda nice tone Keep it up I just covered September on my channel Check it out if you want Tell me what you think ua-cam.com/video/FzSf47qYOmM/v-deo.htmlsi=2MAZSIeXsu4WlqXi
Killer. If you like The 1975 check out Nightly. Their song "Time Online" has a great bass riff too. Who knows, you might wanna cover it!
They recently popped up in my spotify recommendations, but not that song. Thanks, I'll check it out!
Nicely done! Ever think about covering a Frozen Ghost song?
amazing
Great job, I have to learn this for a very short notice gig, this has been really helpful. Thanks for posting
Good luck!
Saved in my playlist, thanks 😊
A D O R O
Awesome !!! Love it
The bass in this song hits me. You did a great cover Terrible pain makes for the most beautiful art
Would this be considered a 'walking bass line'? Very well played btw!
Thanks! A walking bass line in (in the way I've understood it) is one where the same note isn't played twice in a row, so I'd have to say no to this being a walking bass line.
Should've Listened - is about your regrets and listening to your family and friends.
Where did you get the tabs?
I didn't. I played along with the chords on the site called chordify and just made it up as I went.
your right hand makes me so nervous but it obviously works for you haha
Haha nah those old cameras that have no resolution make it look much weirder than it is. I have a ton of newer vids and you'll see it's perfectly fine. On slow tracks even in the big band I sometimes just like to pop it out to keep time (drums was my first instrument), lol. Happy Friday tho and hope you have a wonderufl day.
@@AmandaRogersarock1988 crazy! I started on drums as well! And yeah I did check other vids honestly I’m jealous. Everyone I know keeps time in their right in a way (usually like a tap of the string sort of deal) but any extra in the right throws me off lol. I find I’m usually subconsciously pulsing pressure in the left, nothing that can be heard but just how me and my brain works. But I have enjoyed watching you rock out!
@@nonotesnelson certain songs it's sooo much concentration there's definitely no room for having any fun, haha! I like to pulse the left too, a lot of my muting comes from that side, but there's just something so fun about the bass IDK. We'll all be Joe Dart one day ;) .
hahahah thanks for the chords, 7 years later XD
Uh wuutttt haha. Thanks for popping by, tho.
That p bass sounds fantastic Amanda beautifully sweet bass playing. Great talent ❤
Thanks as always, Neil! The nylon tapewounds were such a nice choice on this bass -- it's plugged in direct as well so no pedals or anything. Straight into my duo capture.
Great job! I absolutely love the rhythm section in this song
Thanks! Yeah they have an awesome vibe. I don't know many of their songs, but the ones I've heard are great.
It's a different side of Amanda... I really enjoyed this video. I will wait and look forward to the musical cover songs you upload in the future.
Perhaps some ABBA one day 😊
Well that’s something different Amanda. Never heard this in my life but that’s an interesting bass line going on there. Thanks for sharing ❤
It's from a tv show I got obsessed with watching. Definitely not my usual, haha. The third season they were putting together a musical, so there's a few great tunes in there!
