Digital Nomad Guide to Bansko
Переглядів 2,2 тис.4 роки тому
Chances are, as a digital nomad, you've heard of Bansko. The nomad community exploded here, all thanks to Coworking Bansko, but that is not the only reason why people decide to stay long term. As a great destination all year round, Bansko not only has amazing hikes in summer, but also over 70km of slopes, and it is also the cheapest ski resort in Europe. We explored it for a few months, and we ...
Riding the last narrow-gauge Train in Bulgaria
Переглядів 9614 роки тому
We are staying in the remote village of Razlog, in the Bulgarian mountains, so we have to rely on some pretty interesting ways of transport. Going to Bansko, the next village, we always take the last running narrow gauge train on the Balkans, which stops at stations which haven't been renovated since Soviet times. Walking around, we also spotted some Soviet public toilets, an abandoned wooden t...

Exploring a Secret Soviet Nuclear Bunker in Bulgaria
Переглядів 2,3 тис.4 роки тому
Who would have though that on a simple hike through the Bulgarian mountains we would stumble upon 3 soviet era nuclear bunkers built for the case of disaster in the cold war? This lost place was used to shield from nuclear bomb attacks but lays now abandoned and decaying, covered by overgrowth. Join us on a tour of theses underground tunnels in the forests of Bulgaria. Instagram c...
Digital Nomad Guide to Bratislava
Переглядів 7765 років тому
Digital nomads, this one is for you! If you, like us, like to explore lesser known cities with not much DN action going on yet, you might find the capital of Slovakia interesting. We spent a week there, trying to see all there is to see, and getting some work done at the same time, and we made this guide for everyone looking for more info about how alright Bratislava is for nomads. We have some...
Discover the LOCAL FOOD from the Bulgarian Mountains
Переглядів 7255 років тому
If you ever struggled getting access to some local food whenever you travel, we are with you. It might be quite a hassle searching for local markets, small specialised shops, or organic producers, but staying away from the supermarket as much as possible can be a great choice for the conscious traveller. We recently made our way to the Bulgarian mountains where we will be spending the winter se...
Portuguese tries Slovak food in Bratislava
Переглядів 4,5 тис.5 років тому
All the way from sunny Portugal, right into the cold depths of central Europe! We are in Slovakia, and trying to discover as much as we can in one week. Claudio travels to a true Siberian winter country for the first time, and he is really not into the freezing weather. But besides the cold and perpetual fog that seems to cover Bratislava at the moment, we still got to enjoy some of the best kn...
Abandoned village in Portugal - Serra da Lousã
Переглядів 10 тис.5 років тому
You probably associate Portugal with sun and beach, but this country is so much more than that. I took a trip that is a bit out of the ordinary, and visited a place I've never been to before, despite it being so close to home. In Serra da Lousã we visited 3 of the 17 schist villages, Chiqueiro, Casal Novo and Talasnal. To finish the day, we tried some local food, sheep cheese, "chanfana" old go...
This is not in Asia - Buddha Eden
Переглядів 1415 років тому
You wouldn't expect Buddhas laying around a park in Portugal would you? Well neither did we, but the Bacalhôa Buddha Eden Park is one of the peculiar sights of a country that is as far from Buddhism as possible, so we had to check it out. The story goes that a Portuguese rich man collected all these Buddha statues, contemporary pieces, and anything in between, to create a little Eastern oasis i...
Mud Volcanos of Qobustan 🇦🇿
Переглядів 1595 років тому
One of the best day trips from Baku will only take you about 60km southwest of the capital city, but the difference in the landscape is astounding. Azerbaijan's semi desert might be a barren land, but with a lot hiding within it. We visited the Qobustan National Park with its famed ancient carvings (petroglyphs) and discovered a little bit about the lifestyle of Palaeolithic people in the regio...
Shirvanshah, The Museum Restaurant from Baku 🇦🇿
Переглядів 1 тис.5 років тому
Azerbaijan is a muslim country, so we couldn't miss paying a visit to one of its nicest mosques, the Bibi Heybat Mosque which is built right next to the highway to offer a quick and easy pray stop. To contrast the religious start of the day, we then had a look at the first ever oil drill in the world, still preserved and displayed where it once pumped the first drops of the black liquid which t...
The biggest Flea Market in Azerbaijan 🇦🇿
Переглядів 3,4 тис.5 років тому
Another day another market in the streets of Baku. This time we ventured outside the city centre into the suburban Sabunchi market, the biggest flea market in Azerbaijan. Live poultry next to Lenin busts, old beds and fresh produce sold from car trunks were just a few of the things on offer. Later on Manu gave a Yoga lesson to the locals. Lets be friends on Instagram @claudiosilva89 @manumanimi...
What's inside Zaha Hadid's Heydar Aliyev Center? 🇦🇿
Переглядів 2,9 тис.5 років тому
This time, we discovered everything there is to discover at the very beautiful, and very confusing- Zaha Hadid's Heydar Aliyev Center. From contemporary art to miniature Azerbaijani monuments, dolls from around the world, archeological excavations, or musical instruments from the region, the museum was a dazzling mix of everything that had nothing to do with each other. And Claudio's favourite ...

Paramore - Hate to See Your Heart Break (Acoustic Cover)
Hey, it's great to see that you stayed creative since our High school days 👍 keep up the good energy.
I would place the bed sideways over the rear axle...Forget putting it lengthwise, there is no room to do it... Putting the bed sideways you may need one or two bump-outs to create the room, but that should be doable. You can use a smaller size roof trunk and use the top shell to create the bump-out but more elegant would be to shape a couple of layers of PS foam board (glued with pur foam (the great stuff) and some water as a "catalyst" sprayed with a fine mist spray bottle) Using course sandpaper works well for the shaping. You can then sheet over the PS foam shape with fiber glass and resin and hog out most of the PS foam using a very course flap disc on the angle grinder. Leaving about an inch or so leaves you with some insulation. Then you can sheet the inside with more fiberglass and resin and finish with carpet or other types of upholstery as you like...
How much was the van because it would not be cheap in the uk, old transit reach silly money nowadays?
Vc é brasileiro?

good chance for u i didnt forget the like
subbed and liked...looking forward to seeing what you're going to do in this and where you're planning on going
You bought a nice van... a true musical implement...
I recommend rockwool (or mineralwool as it is also called) for vehicle insulation. It resists moisture being soaked up, it can be installed without you needing to be itchy for weeks, it is a very good insulator, it does not off gas and it is fire proof... I would use a moisture barrier on the inside like poly plastic or even better the mylar backed underlayment for laminate flooring (as about 2-3mm thick foam) which makes for a moisture barrier and a reflective layer for heat on the inside...
Good luck bro! Love the little musical sequence! You should kick off the next video with it it's a good surprise hahaha

It is not soviet though, it was built prior to the communist regime
Hello, which camera did you use for recording the video?
Boa escolha! Tenta descobrir as linhas de água e terás surpresas , daquelas que só a natureza nos dá. Continua com este excelente trabalho. Abraço desde Coimbra.

So much great information here! Thank you!
People should live there
.... and it's not the last narrow gauge in the balkans, the fact the train runs on Bosnian gauge gives you a hint as to the other country where they run. Then you have a couple of NG railways in Serbia.
It's not Soviet! Bulgaria as a whole was not Soviet. Anyway, the trains were built in West Germany and later Romania. Why not change the title and be real?
Beautiful stone houses, would love to live there so peaceful
From America, very beautiful place. I have seen videos of people who say Portugal is a great place to live.
What's your take on Bansko as a European homebase for other entrepreneurs who don't necessarily want to travel full time but live between 2 or 3 different countries 😇?
For sure it's a good option. It's a good winter base and also during summer can be interesting and they have good prices. Before anything I would suggest go there and see if you like it.
beautiful villege ,one day people will return to mother nature again.thank you for this nice vedio
Capitalism will destroy mother nature before that happens...
can u make a video about how to play that song?
I’m very curious. Why didn’t you talk or ask somebody there, like the owner of the bar.
Nice video. Like and full view :)
In what town is this
Hi guys ! i was even thinking of buying an apartment in Bansko, setup a company(online business) and live there, cost is pretty low so it's appealing. But it does seem much less lively than a place like Sofia and I am afraid it can get a bit boring. Would you recommend it over Sofia or other places in Bulgaria ? (as a good combination between business and life?)
Yes I come from bardejov Slovakia
How does it work with the Covid thing entering Bulgaria?
