I would definitely give it a try if it sparks your interest. If you don't like it after the first you chapters you can still drop it. As I said, I'm also not a big fan of this trope in general but it works here. The mangaka could still could do more with it in my opinion but so far its been very enjoyable

While I'm not that big into body swap myself, I totally disagree with it being "cringe". I think the genre has potential and a Manga like Lemon shows, that you can make it work without it feeling out of place. I don't regret reading this manga even though I had to think twice before starting, but sometimes giving a chance pays off. If it's not your cup of tea thats totally fine though, those are just my 2 cents on the genre. I will check out your recommendation too, thanks ✌

I'm glad that you enjoyed it! I absolutely agree. It's hard finding any faults in this anime. Frieren holds what it promises from start to finish by simply being a solid, character driven fantasy adventure through and through. If someone would ask me for an easy 10/10 then my answer would be Frieren

Not sure which chapter we are talking about exactly, but the last chapter (46) pushed everything in a good direction I think. I'd say so far its not dragging on that much. Most of the progress doesn't come from the characters "doing" something but more from their inner conflicts and how to deal with the situation. I recommend reading the new chapter once it drops because that one might decide if we are in for a drag or not :D

It is really cute and although I enjoy that, it could hinder it from going too far into drama territory but we will see. If it doesn't, then it's still atleast a very cute story 😂 I also like Lemons overall design, I just hope she had a good reason for why she lied other than "I felt bad because of XY" (probably wont happen lol).

I'm curious in which direction it will go. There's a good foundation the author can build upon and I hope it wont miss and get serious rather sooner than later but with it being "only" at 40+ chapters right now it might still take a while. The body swap genre has so much potential but as you said, it's hard getting the balance right. I hope Lemon can utilize the stuff it already does well and expand on the drama, we will see :D

I like it for the same reason I love KonoSuba - The character interactions. I think this first season did really well in intoducing them. At the end of the day it's a romcom, so we can guess what happens once it is over 😅

@@KazeKatsu Even if its romcom I think this anime's plot is lacking. Other romcoms, even with slower progression have something to let us know what to expect at the end of the series (the two mc dating, getting friendzoned, etc). But here, its like watching nichijou with cuter girls and fan services

I get how you feel about Komari because I didnt like her in the beginning too, butthen she slowly grew on me. I love the dynamic between anna and nukumizu because they already act like an old married couple xD Days with my step sister was such a surprise and felt so different from the other shows. Really enjoyed that show. Same, I hope it wont take that long til Alya S2, the characters in this anime are so much fun.
