I this video, I chat about some of the things to consider when using vintage frames in your art.
How much paint should you use on your Gelli Plate?

Are you having trouble getting your Gelli Plate to behave correctly? It may be that you haven't mastered how much paint to use. This video will show you what happens if you use too little, too much or just the right amount of paint. It will help you to trouble shoot your own practise and recognise what little tweaks you can make to improve how your gelli plate prints.
I love this. ❤ So easy to follow. Thankyou
Oh I loved the whole process! Please Leanne, what is the thickness of this EVA board? 2mm, 3mm, 5mm, etc. Thank you in advance for your kind reply and congratulations 👋👋👋
I would love to see what you Crete with these prints.
Nice I just found you,r channel. I love your patterns, looks great!
Do you use the brayer cleaned paper?
So amazing. Gotta find your video on how you use them in your paintings. ❤
Where do you find the adhesive rubber to cut?
Eucalyptus oil will help remove sticky gunk off the scissors.😊
Hi mrs daquino it’s me Evin from 2B to 3K I miss you so much ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😭😭😭😭
MRS DAQUINO!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I MISSED YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭 ITS ME EVIN
I was told not to use a dryer on the plate…….?
Your tv is distracting in the glass cabinet
thanks for sharing!
Such an awesome idea!
I’m guessing that if you’re using rice papers or fine paper, which can be very transparent, painting the background first would show through and change the colour of the papers especially if you want a coloured background?
Why would you not paint the background first so it isn’t so finicky afterwards? I would love to see a video of you making the collage. I hope you will be making more videos soon, I’m a new subscriber.
NB microphone noise: terrible.
Humidity in the environment affects how much paint you need. I lived in a damp region and always struggled with underlying layers of paint attaching to the plate as I pulled the print off which would end up with my paper adhering to the gel plate. I finally reduced the amount of paint to the thin coating as in your first example and I was totally successful. I then moved to a desert region with very low humidity, and like your first example, couldn't get the print to transfer because the paint had dried.
I love this. I have done it on flat cardboard but I never thought to use it on a glad wrap tube! Your prints came out beautifully.
Lovely
Will you do the collage demo with your sample papers ? !
Fantastic video!
Fabulous Leanne where did you purchase the sticky back foam please
I purchase mine from Spotlight in Australia
@@leannedaquinoart thanks Leanne I will make a visit. 😄
Thank you for sharing this. I was in my studio yesterday making stencils and putting them on cardboard - love this idea - much more efficient 🩷
Glad to help x

You are most welcome xx
Thank you🎉🎉
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you very much for you class, it was wonderful!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I love the idea of using guoche bc I have lots of it and your paper towel roller is wonderful. I don’t like gloves either so I’d purchase a dowel cut a little longer than rollers so you have a “handle” to roll it along without getting dirty hands. You’ll only need one for all rollers
Thanks for the tip! A dowel handle would be really useful.
Best ever video I've ever seen for diy texture tools! Thankyou for this tutorial. I'm going to attempt putting these on a paint roller to cover large areas with paint texture.
Thankyou so much. Have a wonderful time printing with them. x

Box tape or duct tape will pull off any sticky stuff off your scissors. I hope you did not chuck them.
Brilliant thank you. I will definitely have a go at this.
