Hearing Ferron describe her take on time and space was fascinating. That's an incredible take, and she's basically describing what we are now just exploring as a culture: multiverses, time as a spiral and not linear. I love that woman. She brought so much life and meaning to me, during my years in deep reckoning of my own early traumas. She's a Way-Seer for many of us. Carry on, dear woman!

John Lennon must be turning and tossing in his grave that he is not alive today and speaking the truth as Roger Waters is doing and has been doing for decades. To tell you the truth, I was never a Pink Floyd fan, but Mr. Waters is such a clarion voice in the Darkness that has engulfed the West.

The Dalai Lama is like the former leader (head of State) of Tibet…. Ha ha ha…. He’s not precisely “going around in limos”….. but you get your point across. I love your music, particularly Independence Day and Our Purpose Here. They have such nostalgia for life and beauty. If I were dead (but present somewhere) and I were remembering life, I’d choose Our purpose here as the back song to my memories.

For those interested in the American suffrage movement, there's a 2004 film "Iron Jawed Angels" about Alice Paul (played by Hilary Swank) and Lucy Burns (played by Frances O'Connor) and their critical role in the movement which resulted in the eventual the passage of the 19th Amendment.

I have always loved Ferron. So many decades ago she played a venue at my city, Soft Rock Cafe, and I found myself one of about four males in an audience of about 300, and I realized then that Ferron was gay. It hadn't occurred to me. It didn't matter much. It didn't compromise the music or vocals that I was hearing. If Ferron presented herself to me today, would I still love her? I can only say that I do not know. I think I would. I think I could get over my shapism sexism. There's another connection that might help our relationship. A friend of mine, Brent Shindell, played guitar on her recording of Misty Mountain. I play Misty Mountain via youtube at least six times a year.

Absolutely fantastic! Thank you Ferron, and thank you Bitch, who I don't know much about at the moment. (By the way, I'm a straight male, though a septuagenarian one, so things once possible are now largely past.) I confess to having been in love with Ferron, or at least her music, back in the early '80s. I knew she was gay, I knew we didn't have a hope in hell of getting together to exchange experiences and insights, but I still loved what she was putting out in her music. But this vid makes me think that I have to look again at Shadows on a Dime. I used to think I understood it, but maybe not.
