WE 202 with F1 receiver. The ringer box probably has the 101 induction coil (Speech network) which connects the dial, switch hook and receiver leads and incoming phone line. The Western Electric 302 Introduced in 1937 incorporated all the needed components inside the set eliminating the external ringer box.

I had a very active seller's account on Etsy years ago when it was an actual community of mom & pops artists and vintage lovers... I almost wish I didn't have that excellent experience there because it makes me so sad now that it's turned into a dollar store drop ship from China dumpster fire LoL After seeing brand new Nike tennis shoes and AI 'art' being listed I left the platform and I'm really conflicted about ever listing on Etsy in the future. Best of luck to you over there 🙂 Etsy doesn't actually care about the sellers or the buyers, unfortunately. The search feature is a joke if you're a buyer and there's no customer service phone number for sellers by design :-( It's a good lesson to learn and it speaks to the bigger picture of Etsy issues. Learn from this and focus more efforts on other platforms that are willing to help. 💚

Awesome, this comment is a bit late, but does this player have a built-in speaker to play audio without headphones hooked up? Or is it reliant on headphones for audio output?

Got one for Christmas when I was a kid in 1982. Solidly built - but only weakness was the headphone jack that I had to resolder into place a few times. Got quite a few years out of it.

These are quite decent for a small and inexpensive 1990s mono radio recorder. Surprising that Sony continued to offer products like this so late, into the early 2000s with the CFM-20 that replaced the CFM-10. I have both of them, handy to have around the house and they have been solid and reliable machines.

I wouldn't call it a "boombox" because it's mono and not stereo in the speaker layout. (Headphone out doesn't count in that regard.) But still it's a nice portable radio/cassette unit. I'm guessing it's old enough to predate the made-to-cost (made in China) type of stuff Sony now has on the budget end?

Got one of these recently and took it apart so i could take measurements for replacement 3D printed parts, the mechanism to control the direction of the tank is really clever and is probably the only toy tank with directional control I've seen with only one motor

Still a nice toy after 40 plus years.
