How to gain the trust of shy or defensive rabbits
Being prey animals, rabbits often can grow very apprehensive about people reaching towards them. If you have a rabbit who has become very scared or reacts poorly whenever you reach towards them, this is a great exercise to help gain that rabbit's trust.

How to take a rabbit in and out of its cage
Переглядів 42 тис.9 років тому
This video demonstrates how to take a rabbit out of a cage and put the rabbit back in again. Taking a rabbit out of a cage is particularly challenging for people who are new to rabbits. Therefore it is best to have someone who is experienced take the rabbit out for you so that you practice and get comfortable holding rabbits before you attempt to take them out of cages yourself. Rabbits tend to...
How to meet a rabbit
Переглядів 4,1 тис.10 років тому
This video shows the WRONG way to approach a rabbit that you have never met before, even though it shows a typical reaction from a well-socialized rabbit. Rabbits who have learned to trust humans generally do not care how you approach them with your hand - they see an oncoming hand as an opportunity to get petted. However rabbits who have not learned to trust humans yet often find it very threa...
How to approach a rabbit
Переглядів 7 тис.10 років тому
This video shows a rabbit’s different reactions to a hand moving towards him horizontally at his eye level versus a hand coming down from above. The nice thing about this video is that the rabbit reacts slowly, so that you can easily see his ears flatten back before he slowly lunges forward slightly. By doing so, the rabbit is clearly expressing that he finds my hand that is moving horizontally...
How to approach and pat a skittish rabbit
Переглядів 7 тис.10 років тому
Approaching a skittish rabbit from above rather than from the front can be an effective way to start patting them. In this video, note the different reactions the rabbit gives when approached from the front versus from above. In a sense, you are forcing them to submit which seems a little unfair, however it allows them to experience positive social interactions, which is what shy rabbits desper...
How to approach and pat an aggressive rabbit
Переглядів 11 тис.10 років тому
This video shows an example of the right and wrong ways to approach an aggressive rabbit. From a rabbit's eye level perspective, you can better understand why they might feel threatened and also emboldened to attack when a hand moves towards them at their level. They tend to submit when a flat hand moves steadily down from above, which in turn allows them to relax and enjoy being petted. Most r...
How to approach and pat an aggressive rabbit
Переглядів 43 тис.10 років тому
This video shows the right and wrong ways to approach an aggressive rabbit. Aggressive rabbits will lunge and attack hands that are moving horizontally or diagonally to them. However they usually will submit if you bring a flat palmed hand straight down from above. This enables you to make it a positive interaction rather than a confrontation.
My first time seeing a rabbit attack a human 🤔 its kinda cute tho 😊

So...short story long: we just need to be with them just vibin'

As owner of female bunny yes
i dont lnow why but the sped up footage of the bun moving around while the guy is just sitting there seems hilarious to me
My rabbits like this, I still love her tho
Please if your rabbits is a bit aggressive, dont punish them they are very sensitive please do not hurt them and think they could learn like a dog would . That is so cruel and so mean 🙁 just treat them kind and soft and they will eventualy warm up and be friendly. they do this because they are afraid.
Why did I even own this I don’t even watch a rabbit.
Bunny is not designed for attack

1:37 binky!
Good video. This is very similar to how you bond rabbits. Keeping rabbits in an x-pen or bathtub under close observation can help reduce fear, anxiety, and stress with other rabbits. Close observation is key so that fights or chasing can be broken up before they lead to injury or irreparable damage to the bond. Over time, with repeated sessions, rabbits will eventually learn to groom each other, share food, and be comfortable around one another.
I love the Binky around 1:35! The flop at 2:20! These tactics obviously work! 🎉
You should post a new video!

How to develop Stockholm syndrome in your pets
He/she did a blinky
😂😂nope. Sometimes its breeding. Inbred rabbits which is 85% of time if bought from a rabbitry can become aggressive just from blood ties. And just because your rabbit licks you doesn't mean it loves you, this is an aggressive behavior. What?! Yep, aggressive possessive dominance.
It’s not as easy as that lol
Well duh it would annoy the heck out of us if some weirdo kept trying to bug us lol
Is it me or are rabbits with that colour and those patterns more aggressive than other colours because out of all the rabbits we’ve ever rescued/adopted it’s always rabbits with those patterns/colours that are the most aggressive.
definitely not just you, we had a rabbit like that and she also made those exact noises.
Wonderful video!
I think youve got your work cut out for you with this one

what happens if you try to feed the rabbit??
My female rabbit died & I finally saw the boys personality! He was the opposite: shy & always wants to hide. After 4 months I can happily say that he fully trust me 🤗🙏🏻🤜

This is very misleading, Rabbits should not be kept in hutches or cages. Please do your research!!

Aw, what a cutie. I can see you praising her for her tricks, haha
It’s just unbelievable how stupid this comment section is P.S. a very Good Video
Try this trick with a shy crocodile. You will be the one who keeps looking through the fence to see how to get out.
try with an adult lion 🤗😘
And why would one do that? there's kind of a big difference between an adult lion and a domesticated rabbit lol
It works well with lions
2:19 this was so CUTE
@@Chocothebunnysame
Im sure you can if they are shy and want to keep their distance from you, but you might regret it if you manage to change that.
Not really, they are taking their time with trying to have the rabbit be use to them. Along with also not forcing the bun to like them, if he was he would be chasing the bun which would stress em out and cause em to be defensive or run
@@redrubyrose618 I don't even remember the context of this conversation, 'forcing the bun' sounds like you're going to make a rabbit burger.
Awww 🥰 that little flop roll over 😍

Pov Rabbit: *C I R C L E*
As long as you're not beating it or stabbing it, but instead just feed it and walk around it normally, even try to pet it, the rabbit will get to trust you in the same amount of time as if you sit motionlessly in a cage with it.
Wth makes you think they would beat or stab it? of course you can gain a rabbit's trust that way too he is just showing another method to do so which is normal, if a rabbit is very cautious and shy being around it casually won't always help
Perplexer1 no, you are completely wrong … this sitting around your rabbit and maybe even talk with it will let it gain trust to you A LOT faster
@@mister4403 adult rabbits or other animals are usually shy or run away. baby animals are very attracted to humans. some of them are scared yes but most of them usually get along with humans easily. i had a bought a baby rabbit and he instantly liked me in the first day, like used to sit on my belly when i was laying running around me like he didn't really care about my tall height.

For a video like this, it would be really useful to show a time-lapsed progression over the course of several days. That way people can see the real results.

Rabbits are not cage animals. You should let them out and let them move in the house. If not, then consider yourself as an animal abuser..
Cute♥
i had guinea pigs and it didnt take much time to tame them it took 3-4 days by just hand feeding them.
