Is it possible to replace the UE5 maeequin with a smaller charcter?
Yes you can but you will have to tweak the climbing movement otherwise it will look weird ;)

for some reason i am not getting the grass layer to come up as your material blueprint and will not allow me to paint the dirt layer in im in unreal 5.5
Sometimes the material doesnt get rebuild and you cannot see it in the paint brush of the landscape, try to close and reopen the project, otherwise try to change the material on the landscape then put back your landscape material

You’re not confusing. I meant the Biomes Core setup is!

Hey man, I have a problem. I've created a template user widget called "MarkerWidget" with a binded text inside. This marker widget is implemented in an actor as a widget component. "Space" is set to "Screen" and because of the location of its actor it appears at the world location of the actor in my level. I have multiple actors of the same type with the same widget component inside. Each of them display the same text. Now I want each of those actor to display a diferent text stored inside of them. And for that I want to edit the widget component from the owner actor, ruled by its binded text in the reference "MarkerWidget". You show us how to do one UI assignement for one actor but not serval from one UI. I look foreward to your reply 👍👍👍👍 Thanks.
Hello, It will be the same type of thing as doing it for one actor and one widget, if you canot set a structure you can just add a variable in the widget called textToDisplay and bind the text to that variable next you go to your actor and call the set textToDisplay on the widget and it should show it 😁 let me know if you have any issue 😉

peux-tu installer FPS on Startup regarde bien combien de fps tu as avec ton biome. je n`arrive pas a generer une grande carte avec plus de 14 fps. pour un jeux ,pas bien.

Salut, merci pour la vidéo bien expliquée, cependant j'ai appliqué le material outline sur les npcc avec lesquels j'ai des interactions et ils apparaissent en surbrillance par dessus mon personnage. Est-ce que tu sais comment régler ça stp ? (PS je suis sur UE5.4.4 donc pas de scenecolor before tonemapping)
Oui c'est possible d'avoir la surbrillance qui ne passe pas au dessus du personnage, je vais voir si je peux faire marcher ça sur mon exemple et je ferais une petite video pour montrer ça, j'essaye de faire ça pour mercredi prochain ;)

Tu dois cliquer sur la roue dentée sur le content browser et activer show plugin content et show engine content et tu devrais avoir accès à ce graph 😉
@@NicolasNosedaDev Oui merci, je l'ai compris un peu tard :/ L'ensemble fonctionne bien maintenant. Cependant, il y a un soucis quand j'augmente trop la taille de l'acteur BP_BiomeCore, je finis par surcharger la mémoire et l'éditeur crashe. Mon landcape a une taille de 4000*4000. Dois-je utiliser des partition? Y a-t-il une fonctionnalité pour reduire l'utilisation de la mémoire de PCG?
If at 6:22 SatMaps node makes everything flat, select Fx node and press G key (Pin as Underlay)
Heads up - you can retarget the skeleton automatically with retarget animation and export retargeted assets
Or just retarget every animation in the animation folder

Hi, just putting this here if anyone is in the Same Mess: I was trying this on a Bought Character from the UE Market... Now this did not work and messed the Animations Completely up. Now as a Noob as I am.. I read the Documents of the Character and Noticed it was Rigged to the UE4_Skeleten.. So I just Switched the " Tag " -part to the UE4 Mannaquin and it worked Perfectly. Thank you for the great tutorial and Love how you explain things.

Very informative vid! Just when I try editing the weights of my model with a brush tool- Unreal 5 crashes
How much vertices do you have on your mesh ? If you have too much vertices Unreal will crash 😅 if thats the case maybe you should try to do a retopology of that mesh to reduce the number of vertices

You can change the prune value to make the forest more dense 😉
I don't have the default generator, should i create this myself or is it provided by Unreal ?
It is provided by Unreal, you need to click on the cog wheel in the content browser and enable the plugin content and engine content and it should be available 😉

All of the retargeted char crash when i try and walk. I have only been able to use the main manni. I was hoping this would solve it. :(

@@NicolasNosedaDev the characters will spawn in. As soon as try to step it will crash. So i am assuming the IK animations. I’m using a lenovo legion go, so i assumed the provided retargeted characters were too demanding, but i used assetville characters fallowing this tutorial. Im not getting a crash report, or errors.
Someone on discord got that error and you need to check the ik Rig and retargeter, if you have crash like that it means that the ik Rig or the retargeter is not good 😉

Awesome to be honest. But in what kind of reality do you run against an obstacle and your spine is going to break because it bends your whole body backwards. I think in most of the games this would be kinda annoying 😅 but good to know. Let’s think about Zelda Okarina of time. One of the first tasks to get your sword and for this you had to growl through this little passage on your knees, nope now I just run against, the wall my spine can handle this 😂😂 I mean you just set it up for head and ears I guess but it’s really depending on the type of of game you make if this fits ✌️ awesome tutorial anyways thanks a lot.

You can mirror some of the properties but not just click mirror and the contraint get miror on the other Bone, we can just mirror the properties 😉 that would be an incredible feature 😁
