So many of the greatest moments of skating have been captured on video. The biggest rails, biggest gaps, everything teetering on the impossible, has been captured and uploaded to the internet.
But there are other kinds of “greatest moments” of skating that haven’t been captured to the degree that they should have been.. Those moments are the ones that happen mostly behind the scenes. The inside jokes with your friends, the banter, the camaraderie that comes from expending way too much effort at a spot together. These moments are what keeps us all hooked on skating. Why isn’t this stuff captured more often?
That’s my goal with this project.

Jumbo: 4 the Streets (episode 30)
We're finally back to having normal sessions.
I feel like it's been months since I could just go out for a normal Saturday session with no bigger project in mind.
It's nice to have most of everything wrapped up for the summer.
This session was a bit of a mess though.
Our first 2 spots were complete busts. Me and Caleb had gone out of our way to wake up extra early to beat the heat. We'd met up at 8am, drove 30 minutes away to a warm up spot and were busted within 5 minutes.
It was just me him and Anthony for the few couple of hours as well... I didn't think I was even going to be able to make anything with my lack of turn out.
Finally Heath rolled up and the party started.
First spot was a perfect rock.
Jagged, unwaxed, multiple block-on-the-ground run up.
Tailor made for skating.
It actually was fun though.
What wasn't fun was the 7 different spots we tried to skate to no avail.
Finally, we ended up a covered ledge.
Thank goodness too, because it started raining.
We made the best of it, that's really all you can do.
As I say at the end of the video, thank you to everyone that reached out to us and bought some of the shirts/wheels/books.
It's sooo sick to see it all in real life.

Some companies just fill a void and can grow by word of mouth, but it's nice to have names and faces to a company and/or see them give back to the community in more ways than just "buy our product"

Didn't even know there was a Jumbo website now! The podcast format is a fun change. Sounded like some echo off the mic that Caleb was using, but not bad. Not sure if you need to add a mixer or anything to lower the gate or just adjust the room setup a bit.
Both of you are perfect. Sound check is perfect and mics both sound good, but you could tweak it down for echo reasons just a bit. Camera setting is aweome. You guys got this! I’m good at technology just hit me up anytime if you have any questions. 💯

I'm nearing my 40's and getting back into blading. Just the other day a group of us were trying to remember trick names and variants of them, one thing that kept coming up time and time again was "true-spin". We are still not sure wtf that is lol
@@mantzface truespin is spinning the blind way into a backwards soul based trick. Example: if you’re right footed, you’d spin clockwise into a backwards right footed soul grind. That would be a Truespin soul grind. I hope that helps!

Hey cody, congrats on the new merch and the "pro" and team wheels. I had a look at maybe ordering some stuff via oakcity, but I had to back out as paying +/- 86 dollars in shipping and then having to pay import fees on top of that to get my 3 t-shirts to the Netherlands is a bit steep for me, even for you guys. I get that international shipping is difficult, but it was worth a try. I hope the new products do well and here's hoping we get a better option on jumbo merch for all the international jumbo fans. anyway keep doing what ur doing, stay out of the heat.
