Try hitting um 😂
Love their coffee!
Great video. This exactly where I’m at. Thanks
Great video!
How old was he when you started introducing this?
It really depends on the dog. I believe this particular dog was around 8 months old.
Another great video!
That not horrible for ur boys ears?? 😮😂😂
When your in chapter 4 of how to teach your reteiver , and your dog is on chapter 9 , bet you start flinging a decoy soon ., just so he's got something to work. 😂
Can’t wait for the next giveaway!!!! Let us know when it will be!!!!
This is great information and help for someone like myself whos trying to push their dog to the next level
Loved the video, things go wrong and you show how to react. Really good.
This is so cool I wish my dog could do that 😮😮
I love this song
Hey bud that’s real life. Good for folks to see. Thanks.
I wanted to see who won the race to the bird....lol
I actually told the help to stop and let her have the bird. She’s a young dog and I wanted her to come back with a bird.
Let’s go! Great instruction Blake!
I’m a beginner in this sport. Your videos are wonderful! You show “mistakes” and how to fix them!!
That buddy we all need😂
Did you just shoot towards the road…??
Blanks 😂
Freddy king is the best 60 bucks u will ever spend
I’m a member of the retriever trainer program that Freddy offers and we use a lot of the methods that he has pulled from the guys that designed a lot of the drills we use today. Like Mike lardy and Rex Carr. Every trainer has their own way of doing things based off those guys. We use what works best for our dogs and clients.
I'm a first time trainer. I never Ask my pup to do anything. I give a Command if she or he doesn't do it I make them do it
I would recommend finding a better way. But this is America and your dog so you’re welcome to do whatever you want. We teach our dogs everything before demanding a correct response. Makes for a much smoother happier dog that wants to do everything you ask of them. This is America and you do have the freedom of speech but this is my UA-cam channel and you do not. If you sincerely want help with your dog we are here. If you are demanding your way or the way you are learning is the only way to train a dog I will delete your comments and you from my UA-cam channel. Best of luck with your pup.
Love me some green wing teal ! Best eating duck period.
Lol that’s funny 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 ❤❤
Good dog!
Good bite placement but this dog needs a walk and less treats haha🍻
Water dog was my book of choice. Have bought several and given to friends.
So I did a very similar drill for 3 days in a row and he was killing it. I took one day off, and went back to it yesterday, and he much less motivated, was anticipating the whistle sits, and making a lot of casting mistakes. How long should these sessions be and for how many days in a row do you keep hammering this type of drill in? I dont want him to loose interest. I was throwing "happy bumpers" in there after every 4 or 5 retrieves. Keep em coming!! Your helping me and keeping me at it too. We are in a HRC club, and will be dealing with cold weather tomorrow for our club meeting/training session. Hoping our 1.5 year old chocolate lab Gunner does well around the other dogs/trainers. Its going to be a challenge being in a different environment for sure.
Could you possibly shoot a video of your next session and send it to me? I’d love to see what you have going on.
@@steeredrightretrievers i can absolutely do that. Found your biz # over on SRR website. Is that the best place establish initial contact to get contact info and send a video? Or do I send one to the yahoo address i found for yall? We are getting up at 5 am to drive 3 hours to an HRC training event in the am. Supposed to be 29 degrees at sun up....ugggg. LOL
@@steeredrightretrievers yes I can absolutely do that. Going to an HRC training event in the am. Three hour drive and expected to be 28 degrees in the AM. then drive back same day...ugg. Planning to run HRC and AKC beginner hunt tests this spring. I think he would pass first level on each. working on casting to prep for second level tests. First test planned for Mid march I tried responding twice, but not sure where my comments went. I will call/reach out on your website # and see if I cant get a video to ya there, or on your yahoo email. whichever you prefer. Have a great weekend!
My cell phone number is (336) 687-4089 just send it over when you get a chance and we will check it out. Looking forward to seeing what we can do to help.
Its a great video, but be careful, you don't want to be stopping a dog too often and personally, I would not have done this drill repetitively over days. The worry is it makes the dog indecisive when you're sending it as you're stopping it too often. I'm not saying not to do the drill, just that doing to much of it could be an issue, thats why the dog is anticipating the whistle.
One thing I failed to mention in this video is you can absolutely shorten everything up in this drill to get more reps. Shorter back piles and shorter over piles. Keep that in mind.
Awesome video! Can y’all do a video of first hunt with your dog. Like do’s and dont’s of a first hunt!
It’s in the works. 🤜🤛
Where did you get the stand..place board
Hey Rick those are jump boxes from a gym. I have them in all different heights. They are hard to find but tough as nails.
Thanks
Just found your channel. Been working with my chocolate lab Gunner. Hes 1.5 now. I like this technique for teaching whistle sit better than my approach. Seems like adding those fun bumpers for the reward is a more fun reason to get the desired results. Looking forward to the rest of the videos. Im close in progress to where your at and need to work towards hand signals and blinds over the next few months. Seems like that's where your headed with that dog as well
I appreciated this video! I’m currently trying to teach my dog to remote sit on the whistle but haven’t been successful with the method I’m using, I’ll be anxious to try this method tomorrow!
That’s good stuff
He did an amazing job adapting to that whistle sit!!! Let’s go!
First video I’ve seen. Have to say your calm handling skills are something to watch. Keep the content coming.
Awesome video, very informative, keep the videos rolling out!
Excellent! My first step is also a ladder as pup learns to line with confidence over a previous retrieve to an unknown target location. Since we are in Alaska, I use snowmobile trails and stretch pup out as quickly as pup is able. Lining with momentum to an new and unknown destination: ua-cam.com/video/8KS6U5NR6wM/v-deo.html
Great video! You are the man!
Hello good videos i have hunting videos on youtube
Lil Wayne? Really 😂
Awesome video
