Another Klaviyo update alert!
This is one of 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘄𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 features that they silently introduced!
💎 It's a hidden gem and as you can see I'm extremely excited about this.
And I'll share why!
The only thing - in it's current form it's sub-optimal 🤔
Recently Klaviyo silently added one hidden, new, feature.
It's actually buried in one of the settings menu, you really have to search for it to find it.
𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 "𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀"
It gives you the ability to now combine multiple metrics together and form a new metric.
This is a hidden gem but at this point I would still call it a rough diamond.
The only shortcoming is, it can only aggregate data, meaning you can't do other calculations like detracting, dividing or multiplying.
So I'm really looking forward to V2 or V3 of this very powerful new feature.
It would be great to be able to report on:
- 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲:
Total revenue - cancelled order or refunded order
- 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲
Total revenue - recurring subscription revenue
- 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
Started checkout - placed order
The possibilities are endless (if we're also able to do more advanced custom metrics)

Recently Klaviyo silently added one hidden, new, feature.

There are only 2 ways you can create nested splits in @Klaviyo Knowing when and how to (not) use them will make maintaining emails much easier.
