Your Goblin Diplomacy and playthrough as a whole is a great reminder that we all have been there at the beginning of our journey. And that is why playthroughs like this one are so successful on YT - we miss the good days of exploring the world of RuneScape for the first time, no matter how tedious and frustrating it in reality was.
So the Evil Bob event and some of those other things that have randomly appeared are called Random Events, they were originally mandatory and were at the time years ago a form of Anti-Botting countermeasures. And I personally would recommend you at least try to do some skilling, some of your general frustrations seem to be because it seems like you think you can get everything for quests without touching any skilling, and while this is true sometimes or for some items; stuff like the Goblin Mail was originally only available through trading with other players or by getting it through drops like the beads for Imp catcher. This also ties into your "Money" problem especially in Free to Play, there are very very limited ways to make money without doing any skilling content on an Ironman as you have experienced. I don't know if you have attempted it or if your friend group told you about it, but Runescape is a great "Second" monitor game where you can be doing something like watching video content on one monitor and then Playing Runescape on the second monitor; For myself and I think a decent part of the playerbase it is why we like the game as much as we do.
Hi there, it’s me again. I can really understand how frustrating this has been for you, and I want you to know that your efforts and the dedication you put into creating these videos mean a lot to us. If you feel a break would be helpful for your mental health, please know we completely understand and support you-most of us have been in that place ourselves. Personally, I’ve really enjoyed watching your playthrough, even with the unique pace, though I can see how it may not resonate the same for everyone, especially when it’s the primary focus. Please remember, the community is here for you and will support whatever you need to take care of yourself. :) PS sorry for the essay again :P
That is quite humbling to read. Thank you. I've certainly learned a lot about pacing oneself when you're entirely self directed. I feel pretty on top of it right now so don't worry, I'm ok. Also, you want to talk about frustrating, Plok was a whole other level, this game scarcely rates in comparison. I know the format is pretty slow and unpopular but my goal with the channel is to show the game and my experience with it as candidly as possible. That's just what I like and it's what I want to make. I'm not opposed to trying some different things out (and possibly have something along those lines in the works) but that is ultimately what I want to focus on.
The other crates were up on the bridge-gate thing
Inb4 "Look at this nice animated cape! What an achievement... I feel nothing"
Guy is making meters!
You can turn off the roofs of homes permanently, it will help with finding things in the future instead of mousing over them. Also I recommend trying to do that corsair curse quest, it'll allow you access to one of the best f2p money making methods especially for irons :)
I'm glad you tried killing goblins for armor, nice to see some xp drops on the account lol
Keep going dude! General questing rules: 1)talk to every npc and 2)absolutely scower every inch of the area and 3)read your quest journal. Three very important questing lessons moving forward, because if you think that was difficult, you are in for it. I love the content but you have to be enjoying the game also. Breaks are authorized! Even top osrs players take months-long-breaks.
I thought I looked around pretty thoroughly but I guess not. LP tax is real. Groaning aside I have been enjoying the game more than anticipated. This is a topic better covered in a video, though.
@ not to bash but you also missed going up the ladder in Goblin village. If you watch your footage back you can see more crates on the wooden archway.
you think this is tedious? you will most certainly never get there or try them but there are some later quests where guides online that shows you how to do everything correctly the first time are 4 hours long, doing these quests blind with no guide could legit take days. this game is for masochists. this is coming from a dude who got 99 mining in one of the slowest ways possible it took over 300 hours lol
That Reldo thinks he's such a wise guy
Can't wait for him to try Dragon Slayer
okay the quest may not be good but it is a funny quest, the dialog is great XD
I wish I had been less mad so I could appreciate it.
No one tell him about the crate behind the goblin generals or the one up the ladder, both of which have armor in them XD
I said it before and I’ll say it again - watching you play the game and hate all the things I used to hate the game for is so refreshing. I’ll also say that it does get better (maybe that’s the Stockholm syndrome talking) so I hope you stick through it enough to get there
Magic is one of those skills that, early game, are a bit of a drag to level up, but once you start getting higher, then it becomes a very potent tool, as not only are teleports helpful, but some enemies are especially vulnerable to magic.
It's like he's reading the words but, they never make it into his brain LMAO 😂
so glad the mugger made an appearance
Doing the goblin diplomacy quest has me partly hoping to see you somehow someday doing the members quest "one small favor" in a sort of sadistic way.
me trying not to get pissed watching this man struggle with this quest xd
You hunting for brown dye was very amusing
Glad you found it amusing because I didn't.
@deadyawn72 happens to everyone lol love the series though keep it up!
Love your content, its refreshing seeing the game in the eye of a new player, and you reading the lines is amazing

If you end up doing the security stronghold for some money, you might want to consider using that money on runes to level up magic with. Unlocking some teleports really helps with the whole run energy situation.
Watch out for mind goblins in goblin village. Mind goblin deez nuts.
Not gonna lie I’ve never been able to do that oil can puzzle without a guide. So good on you!
I played like 5 professor layton games, I'm pretty ok at puzzles.
3:30 When Jagex made OSRS, they recovered the old game files, but did not recover various old tools like the map editor. They have since gotten better tools for it, but yeah, the Misthslin Mystery mansion is actually a copy of Draynor Manor because they could not do much more than small changes. If you get membership you might see the same thing with Nightmare Zone and the King Black Dragon lair.
For banking, you can add other tabs of items, by dragging them into the plus sign at the top, also at the bottom right there's an option to lock items into your bank when you take it out, so you don't need to keep replacing them back to where you want it :) it will just be a grayed out silhouette. Also an "note items" to carry more of one item on you at once it'll have it's uses but currently right now not so much
Please keep using the FF battle music!! I hope you like this one for maybe an upcoming boss? ua-cam.com/video/dZD4g9ir7I0/v-deo.html But anyhow, I like the surprise attacks with muggers
I'll bear it in mind.
You should heal more, no reason to not be topped off.
The reason is I don't want to go get more food constantly because I'm lazy.
@@deadyawn72fishing is pretty good for afk food
I vote for witches house as the next quest, bring mage gear!
You'd be surprised just how common an occurrence giving beer is in this game. Beer, or some other alcohol
U got gob disease
25:15 thanks for that. Video liked.
Fun fact. The reason you are getting in touch with the "dark arts" is that from January to May 2001 Runescape had "GoodMagic" and "EvilMagic". They realized that was kind of ridiculous, and then just collapsed it into "Magic" but this quest keeps its references to the dark arts and evil.
Keep up the videos man. One, I enjoy watching someone who just... plays the game. The way you play is how we all started way back before efficiency this, quest guilds that and clue helpers. It's more nostalgic. Two, I need these videos so I have some entertainment while grinding out fishing. 😴 Also I think it might be time for you to work on thoes combat stats at least just a little more. 😅 perhaps go kill the giant frogs south of lumbridge in the swamp, youll get big bones that are also good for your prayer level.
Yeah I agree, good shout on the frogs and the big bones. He should get some runes wind strike some cows outside the fence too
There will be a day where we dont get aggressive mugger music anymore and thats gonna be a tragic day
My thoughts exactly
Your views on the game and the way you play the game is keeping me coming back every upload of your series.
Deadyawn: I don't have a reason to take it but, this Tinderbox could be important to this quest, better take it. Also Deadyawn: I'm just going to leave this vitally important fish food on the floor because I don't have a reason to take it.
*Starts wrong quest* "This is my redemption"
Ahhh yeah another hour to watch while i grind!
ultra-rare start of video with no issues wow
Funny seeing you here. I love your RoR videos mate!
Thank you for the content to get my morning drive started!
26:05 "I forgor 💀"
OSRS is a rabithole, it looks small but it goes deep. The thing of not looking things up it's enterteining for the viewer but it will make the experience prety hellish i think, i prety much serched in the internet for how to complete some quest even as a kid.
You really turn into an Elite from Halo when you find out you have to walk far 43:42
Worth noting that you can avoid a lot of the random low level enemies attacking you by training your overall combat level. Most NPC's no longer become aggressive to a player that is over twice their combat level.
Love this content and your pain 😂!
You don't really need combat level for "Below Ice Mountain" just good food and armor since you can just mine the pillars in the final part of that quest
i love so much how youre not just using the Broken OP quest helper or slayer musiq and youre doing the quests LEGIT. seriously cant wait till you get to members and have to do Dragon slayer 2, Darkness of hallowvale and stuffs
