I don’t think the music industry will ever let their artists make music in multiple genres. Simply because marketing is expensive and demographics and data rule everything. That’s why there are charts for country, rock, pop, rap, etc.
What section of the cd store (lol) do you put Ren in? Yes.
In todays industry its fine since you can buy individual songs. I write books and there are multiple genre's in them. For example I write Scifi/LitRPG/Horror and the website I post my story to has me in all those genres.

Ren has said in a Twitch stream that labels have been reaching out to him, but he’s been turning them down because it would hinder his creativity. One even asked if he ever thought about shortening “Hi Ren”. His illness is also unpredictable and there’s a possibility he’ll never be able to tour, so staying independent makes more sense for him.

Ren DOES make happy/fun/silly music. You just don't tend to like those songs, which is fine (I don't love all of them either) but you can't say he hasn't made them. And yes, a lot of his darker music comes from when he was REALLY sick and not sure what his future was. Fun reaction though, enjoying watching your Ren journey. Watching you get tripped up on the get behind line was great.

I wonder if you would like some of the songs you initially didn't like. Maybe you needed to get to know him better and understand why. Your recent reactions were fire but at first I struggled with your attitude. It had been like you hate the absolute frenetic fanbase of Ren and had to teach them otherwise. I respect different positions but I like them expressed more accepting others views.
