True damage is one of the three types of basic damage in League of Legends.
True damage ignores incoming damage reduction (e.g Unbreakable Will, Primal Howl, Exhaust) and incoming damage amplification (e.g. Hemoplague, Press the Attack, Last Stand) unless otherwise stated. Abilities or summoner spells which deal true damage are still blocked by Spell Shield, unless otherwise noted. Parries can block the true damage from basic attacks and On-hit icon on-hit effects. Cosmic Radiance Invulnerability will block all types of damage including true damage.
True damage cannot be mitigated or reduced, but there are ways to counter it:
Stacking Health icon health causes sources of flat true damage (e.g. Ignite) to effectively deal a lesser percentage of total health.
Normal Hybrid resistances icon shields can absorb true damage at any amount.

ADCs getting more hybrid damage items than ever before in the history of the game and Drututt still thinks Tanks can itemize against that bullshit instantly.
At this point it's mostly magic and barely hybrid. Unless you rush bork
out of the top 10 picks this patch for toplane there is 1 poke mage, 2 bruisers and then tanks
ADC getting so much damage means that team comps that revolve around adc are stronger, making the top lane meta about peeling for adc and not actual carries
hybrid dmg? u do realise that before this patch adc dealt 100 true dmg with kraken now they deal 200 ap dmg iwth all items few autos but now the tank can buy one mr item and that 200 dmg is 100 when they have 7k hp
@@noname-sl7vf a tank buying mr means they're not buying armor which means in total they have less resistances overall to your damage meaning on average you'll do more damage to the tank
