I just love Trunchbull's dialogue and the delivery of that dialogue: "I shall thrash you; I shall pound you; I shall assign you into the 7th circle of Hell child" XD
I like how this line was delivered 8:53 "Oh,did I not mention? That was the first part of your punishment. There's more. The Second Part. And the second part is *_C H O K E Y ! ! !_* "
@@systemshocker2875 “FINALLY, I FINISHED EATING THE CAKE THAT NEARLY KILLED ME, I’M SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!” “oh also you’re going to chokey” *”WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT”* (i wrote the huge ‘what’ without copy and paste)
I saw differences Stage version: Trunchbull said "This morning, she slithered like a serpent into the kitchen and stole a slice of my private chocolate cake from my tea tray!" Movie Musical Version: Trunchbull said "This morning, a piece of my private chocolate cake was stolen."

9:02-9:14 Trunchbull, you can’t change the rules. Matilda is right when she said that’s not not. Trunchbull will do anything to win, even if that means by changing the rules. You know what that’s called? *CHEATING!!!*
I been trying to find answers to that as well. From what I seen in different videos it either: A: folds under itself since the tray is a bit thicker and you can still see the "top" of the cake B: The cake slices (in this video there is 3) gets pressed down and are held in place by some spring mechanism (again inside the tray) But I am all ears to others opinions or if someone knows for sure how the effect is done!
He probably pushed it into the desk and the desk at a flexible top(like cardboard) my brother did a maltilda play and the cake was foam in chocolate. He was facing the crowd unlike this one, and he would put his hands in the frosting a push the cake into the little bin as he “ate” it. Tbh, I think he was a better Bruce then the broadway one.
I’m not sure how they did it but how do my school did it was we had a separate table we used for all of the illusions and for this one in particular there was a circle with the four slices of cake burned into it but one was split in half and it went down so he would pretend to eat them and then he would push them down while standing in front of it

someone knows how the cake disappears? i would like to know that! and if there’s a video please put the link down here :))

Its just a contraption like how magician do magic tricks but i didn't find any video explaining hot it works. I guess you can DIY it
In my theatre company it was a push down

Does act 1 end after Matilda says that's not right
Yes!
7:15
Was that a real cake or no?
No, probably they pushed the cake into the tray, as it is thicker than the cake itself
Yes is a real cake
@@cloviswong9949no it’s not but the cream is real and the out of the cake of real but the inside of it is fake and it gets pushed down
@@cloviswong9949that would be a lot of cake Bruce would be eating
Hope u get the role
my son.
bruce was played by your son? if so, hes so talented!
@Noah1234-d3wtrue, Bruce doesn’t look at all like the letter N. Bruh
Prefer the West End but this is a fun version
This is the west end my cousin played Amanda the year this was filmed
Nvm this isn’t what she played in she was on west end
Good luck
I have become Bruce bogtrotter but is I was interested
