    This is one of the most helpful gardening channels I have watched. I am an amateur gardener. I have always enjoyed growing plants to put indoors or on my porch, but I moved in with my parents and now we have a garden. We grow corn, tomatoes, okra, wildflowers, and tropical plants in the shade like elephants ears and cannas. I really like your channel because it has helpful information with clear instructions and explanations that I can share with my family 🌺🌺🌺

    • @livinsite1
      @livinsite1 2 роки тому +1

      @@dr.parasdayma2759 yes . But more importantly plain water is enough for Tulsi. Keep it in shade and give like 30 mins of sunlight every day. You will start to see new leaf growth before root growth. As you see new leaf growth. Put it into soil and keep the soil damp with just 30 min sunlight. But Tulsi from seeds grow, faster, bigger and healthier with leafs the size of 3 inches during the initial growth period. A well grown tulsi plant can gave a bark or a trunk of a body in the width of whopping 1 to 1.5 inch.

      It is also a natural fungicide. I once spent hundreds of dollars trying to save a prized sentimental rose bush. Nothing helped it was eat up with black fungus, I did everything nothing helped.... subscribed to organic gardening magazine and the editorial was about aspirin and benefits for sick plants...did what the article said and viola..my rose bush began to flourish once again and the fungus subsided and I had the cure all along in my medicine cabinet without knowing. Aspirin can burn up a plant if not used correctly though, so use carefully for fungus.

    Wonderfully made , produced and edited video , I really don't think this could have been any better ... No blaring or crazy music ; has just the right tone and volume of everything , the transitioning from point to point and visual editing was perfect and , plus , the information and advise being provided is spot on 1000% correct... I've never seen or even heard of you or your videos until just now and clearly you know what your talking about because I too have a nack for growing things ( especially tomatoes and cucumbers 🤣) but I like trying different and weird ways to grow things and one of the weirdest but definitely one of the best results and also one of the absolute coolest ways to start a plant from a seed or clippings is to put it inside a whole unpeeled banana .... Just stick the seed inside the middle of a banana and set it in the window for a around 10 days and out pops a little seedling every single time and it does pretty good with cloning / transplants also , you just use a small stick or something to poke a long skinny hole in the banana long ways about two inches deep and then put the banana in the ground ... You just stick your clippings into the banana and let it do the rest but the best part out of everything is , your crop (especially if your plant started as a seed inside a banana) will have a really nice but weird tasting 🤔🤨 banana flavored aftertaste hahaha.. it's weird in tomatoes and even you really can't tell that much on the tomato really , YOU DEFINITELY CAN in the cucumbers 😂😂😂😂😂... I don't know if it's the acids in the tomato that pretty much over power the banana taste or what's happening there but the cucumbers took on a strong banana aftertaste and we're sweet instead of zesty and tangy haha .. It's actually not that good or to me anyways but everyone else seemed to enjoy it but I didn't really care for it but I love sitting on my wagon and eating my cucumbers right off the vine with some salt hahahaha ... I had built a decent sized little wagon and put a large wooden stick frame to tie everything up with on top and I had 7 or 8 five gallon buckets with different stuff in each one and I would roll the wagon around by hand chasing the sun and let me tell you it was super heavy , awkward and hard to move and especially if it rained in the last few days haha but my favorite thing out of all of it was coming home after work and sitting there eating the cucumbers right off the vine 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'd get off work and get the salt shaker and go sit on my wagon in the shade and eat a bunch of raw vegetables 🤣🤣🤣🤣... Anyhow , enough babbling , sorry , haha but a banana helps no matter what stage your plant is in just like honey but like you said about the honey and the ants , so shall the ants and everything else come for the banana so better have your neem oil out and ready after about 30 minutes of the banana going into the soil 😂😂😂... Seriously though the ants are coming and you better have some neem oil haha... That's the only downfall but if your r growing in an inside sealed grow room then all you have to worry about is the nats for a few days and then your golden 👍👍👍... We'll , sorry for the long comment but have a good one and thanks for all the great info and take care 🙏🙏🙏

      I know your comment is old, but since you've got a Nursery biz just wanted to comment. I just have 4 very large plants transplanted into my yard. One had a long taproot and they were not so gentle about removing it. It's not taking to transplant very well (we're only on day 2, but the other 3 look like they were never even moved, as they got the entire root bundle on them). So I've dumped honey all around it and watered it in really good. Hoping this helps stimulate the root growth!

    I've always used honey, that can be purchased from almost any grocery store and its always worked for me.....
    I tried using honey vs a rooting agent i purchased from Amazon, and another plant where i used nothing at all.
    And the honey had the strongest, healthier looking root growth, second was the plant where i used nothing, third was the more expensive rooting stimulator.
    With the honey i had roots growing everywhere, using nothing at all i had smaller underdeveloped roots, with the hormone i hardly had any roots at all.
    I must add that I've always preferred air layering, and ive had a 100% success rate with honey.

    Hi, I want to thank you for all your helpful information regarding gardening. I came to UA-cam tonight hoping to find information on propagating a rather tall, spindly Draecena marginalia I was given. Your video was most informative and helpful. I also watched this one on 8 natural rooting compounds for plant propagation. I’ve subscribed and clicked the bell for notifications. Again, thank you so much. Victoria 👩🏼‍🌾

      I've propagated many Dracenas over the years as a horticulturist. Simplest method worked surprisingly well for me. Take 1 foot cuttings from the top of the marginata, strip off half the leaves and stick into the very edge of the soil, (assuming the plant is in a pot). Has to be the edge of the pot as that area allows extra air so the stem is only partially touching wet soil. Usually with no rooting hormones and it worked out fine. Make sure the cuttings dry out between waterings. In about a month, you should see new growth. Secret is that Draecenas hate to be water logged. You can also try cutting the original stems lower. They will often send up 2 or 3 new heads.

    I tried saliva and then I dipped it in ground cinnamon then in room temperature water that I collected at least 24hoursin advance. Works great, no need to change the water as the mixture keeps it antibacterial. Water will look brownish but I don't mind.
