That woman was just having a bad day and wanted to use her authority. So ridiculous. He's been everywhere with his boosted board. Such petty crap.

casey, as an australian, i would like to say on behalf of Australians, i can admit we have the most uptight, lazy border security fuelled with fear of terror attacks although we have never experienced a true devastating one. mad respect for you casey, and rip to that boosted board
Dude you took a boosted board to australia without checking in? You know how many many australian biosecurity laws have you broken? You could have endangered their native skateboard population. Last time somebody brought a hoverboard it almost destroyed the australian roller skates wildlife. Now they will make you apologize on video and make you pay a $1000 fine.

I'm not the only person who wouldn't want to work with Casey, from his vlogs, he is frequently late, and often because of stupid shit, because he's too lazy or doesn't manage his time. If someone was this late, to almost every single meeting we had, I would be offended and I'd stop working. It shows disrespect that you can't get your shit together to meet someone when you say you are. That going for a run, or flying a drone is more important than the business meeting, or the person you're meeting, you don't respect them enough to make sure you'll get somewhere on time..... Or maybe it's because I'm ex military.... Early is on time, on time is late, and late is unacceptable.
I love the last line "I mean I'm not mad" 5 seconds later "No you know what I'm mad". I would be so mad if they took my boosted board. I would stay in Australia until I made a new feature on my boosted board that I could ride it on top of water. Then I ride from Australia back to the United States via the ocean. See who's laughing then Australia Airports.......
I understand your frustration Casey. It's like when I flew to Colorado from Europe last year bringing two Phantom drones with me. My flight had two legs. The first one was done by Lufthansa who insisted I put my drones in the check in luggage for safety. The second leg was done by American Airlines who insisted I had to have both drones in my carry on luggage for.... safety reasons. Logic dictates that at least one of these carriers miss interpreted some type of safety risk from drones and was therefore less safe. Having said that, modern drone batteries like those from the Phantoms and Mavics are no more of a safety risk than laptop batteries.
Andrew Samosir yeah I know wtf are these Australian laws are bull shit! How are you allowed to bring it in but not take it out!!?? When Casey got in to Australia I really didn't want him to think Australia was a bad country but for the record that lady was a complete utter FUCKING mess. She's got to get her shit together and stop recking other people days. Casey Please don't think Australia is bad it was only that stupid lady.
Andrew Samosir has it got anything to do with the lithium batteries not allowed on the plane? If they are over a certain amphour or weight then I think they are not allowed, a real shame
Australian customs are harsh af. They look at you as if you murdered someone and tells you in a loud voice 'No hairspray and perfume bottles in the bag!'.
It's an international incident, lol. Who's betting that Casey will get his boosted board back? Australia's iffy policy has been put on blast. I'll bet they ship it to him with an effusive apology and an invite!
What might happen, is an airplane captain who's a fan might try and talk security into releasing it and taking it to New York. Or the boss of security lady might make it right, if they view it as an international incident. Depends on how much pressure is brought to bear on the situation, especially from employees at the airport who are fans.
International incident? Are you kidding me? Casey Neistat is no one outside the UA-cam, no one cares. And Sydney airport didn't do anything wrong, because boosted boards are not allowed on board of any Emirates plane ( www.emirates.com/ee/english/plan_book/essential_information/baggages/checked-baggage.aspx scroll down ), but international incident should be this, how JFK airport security let him through with a prohibited luggage.
Beautiful place, Sydney! You could perhaps get the GUEST RELATIONS at the InterCon to retrieve your BOOSTED BOARD and send it to you as cargo. I worked in Guest Relations with InterCon eons ago and that's the sort of thing I did.
Casey, I was embarrassed as an Australian when I saw this! However, since then, I checked with my missus who used to work there, and yes - apparently boostit boards ARE on the prohibited list, due to batteries exploding, and it's been that way for at least a few years, as she left just over 2 years ago. ...I still think that (I'm assuming, since I don't have one) IF batteries can't be removed, at least you should be able to tear it down and keep the rest!? Anyway, please don't let it ruin your opinion of the rest of us; having you visit was AWESOME!! :-)
lol Casey I did the same thing, when they didn't let me take a statue of captain America on the plane, they said it could be used as a weapon... I said my phone was a better weapon, then I went through another layer of security #thuglife
I believe the boosted board 2 has removable batteries, I'm guessing the batteries were the issue here... he could have removed them and then at least kept the board and bag
Yeah, Lithium batteries are fire hazards so they can't be taken on planes. But then again Galaxy S7 batteries are fire hazards.. Doesn't make a lot of sense
He's actually said before that he works with them, don't know in what capacity, but obviously their sales went through the roof when their product showed up here ;)
Australia frequently robs people of their stuff, gives fines for regular things and never really respects your privacy. They also have a TV show that praises this behaviour. Once in this show, a girl had just arrived in Australia to visit a friend. They searched everything and started having suspicions because the girl was black and was not rich. They thought she might never leave and stay as an immigrant until they found a letter. Written by his friend, the letter was relatively sexual and they started thinking she was a prostitute entering in Australia for just one client. After confiscating her phone and luggage, checking her messages and speaking with the US about any criminal record, they didn't let her in, even if she had no record and they didn't prove she was a prostitute. In the end, I think she was forced to pay half of the return ticket to the US...
I feel like Australia's border people are that way because of the sheer volume of people attempting to pull some kind of maneuver. Even the genuine incidents where someone just wasn't aware of the rules or policies, they take a hard stand are are generally very heavy handed.
I want everyone to know that prostitution is legal in aus in all states so they really don’t care about letting those type of people in, it was something else she would have done,
How the f*ck can you get the boosted board IN but not OUT. I'd be furious. Somebody better be giving me the amount of money however much that thing is!
ryandudea72 Yeah but he got it in in the first place. They can probably remove the battery somehow, They would not be taking my $2000 equipment and not pay me for it lol
Well considering the fact they took it off him when he was leaving it is safe to say he is not in Australia anymore and wasn't when he posted this video on youtube, unless he just stood in the airport waiting for someone like you to post this comment and go and take the board for him and trust you to take it away and then post it back to him lol. Some people live in a dream world, he went home and would have been sent another one for free within a day or so from the company who gave him that one. I however disagree with how they handled it and should of gave him some options to claim it back and arrange shipping himself as they let him in with it so it is actually their fault not his really. But honestly, thinking that the customs people would even let you take the board even with casey's permission is a tad on the silly side, once they confiscate it, that is it, it is gone, well into one of their children's presents for christmas/birthday no doubt but the general public would not be able to take it even with Casey's full consent. And as I said above Casey probably got sent another 2-3 this time just in case some other country tries to take another one off him which I am sure they will. Over and out, goodnight, godbless, rule britannia, God save our queen, Yanky foxtrot, romeo, whiskey bravo. Received, over.
btw you are liable for not looking up the rules, they cant specify everything to people it would be too complex. It is actually your fault that you didnt look it up at all
What the actual f*ck? Like seriously? He brought it to Australia, why dafuq can't he bring it back?! Did they even give him a valid reason why? I'm mad too Casey! Makes no sense.
They did say they aren't sure how he got it in to the country. And they did say that he can't take it out as it's electronic. Did you not watch the video before commenting? It sucks that they did it yes, but safety first in airports.
The boosted board battery was made to be able to carry in an airplane. The security/supervisor simply didn't know what it was and veto'd it. It the same lithium battery in a laptop. Also, a boosted board is about 1800 dollars
+Patchical Safety first... Except for the fact that the Boosted Board is safe and the TSA doesn't help with safety and even potentially encourages (the SPOT program perpetuates islamaphobia, which perpetuates violence) violence...
+Peter Porker is the Spider Ham Except that TSA is only in the US, different airports around the world are governed by different rules. This is what happens when you fly somewhere and don't know what you're allowed to bring and what you're not.
sorry say bro.. She must not.. but she will have to go home since it was Casey's and Emirates was so fucked up with that incident.. and Casey will get it back for sure.. that poor lady.. !!!
Couldnt the woman just return it so casey could ship it to NY or ask someone to ship it to NY? There are usually shipping companies in airports i think.
I thought of that too, but the cost to ship that back to NY would have been prohibitive. It is a shame he couldn't give it to a fan though. Im wondering if Casey's fans in Sydney are contacting the airport in droves to try to buy that boosted board. The board they took sells for AU$1,499 in Australia. Chris
they can not becaus the board not alowed in the countery in first place so they have to take it and destory it . just like drugs .by know every 1 should know austrial have some fucked up rules and customs
Everyone send a letter to the Australian airport security... honestly she didn't even know why she was not allowing it through... yes its got a battery, yes it has 4 wheels. Yes it is expensive and No it is in no way unsafe to bring on the plane, train, or automobile. I am amazed at how I can fly with a "safety razor" but a boosted board is a no go. What is he gonna do? Go on a Tony Hawk skating rampage in the Sydney Airport?!?
because it gives the companies a bad time when they just did what was on the regulations as well as wasting staffs time. The batteries in a boosted board are over the regulated limit and should be shipped like RC plane batteries etc
***** - Then airlines should have options for travelers to have it shipped through established routes. Have it shipped through some international parcel service instead of just stealing it. It's not too expensive and the owner could have a period of time to pay for the shipping.
but she didnt say it was because of the battery, she said "anything sporting is a big no no"..... what kind of bullshit is that? anything sporting? so by that logic emirates doesnt allow golf clubs or tennis bags either? that lady was just a moron and shitty supervisor
Casey could've done that if he had known that the airport security was going to take hes boosted board before hand. Otherwise he'd either have to leave the airport, miss his flight, and go to a mailing service, or just give it up and go on his flight.
It's the stuffed up thing about Sydney Airport, after you check-in and pass through Immigration, you then get to the Security Check, at which point you cannot go back out through Immigration to hand something over to a friend or family member, or to mail/freight it to your destination. Lost a nice Swiss Army Knife I forgot was in the bottom of my backpack this same way.
Its probably got to do with the hoover boards battery packs being explosive. Same kinda contraption. Cant have an explosion from a skateboard on a plane.
They're needlessly strict, Francine. Anyone that travels a lot can tell you Australia's border security is obscene. Almost no other country comes close in terms of "controlling" mundane items. What are they protecting people from here? A skateboard ?
I don't fully understand what happened, but here's my take: "We're sorry, but even though this is yours and you brought it into our Country, it is not allowed in our country and we are taking it from you as you leave the Country." So basically this is bullshit.
Australia has very strong laws when it comes to what you can bring on a plane, the technological part of the skateboard may have looked a tad suspicious under the x-ray. Especially with recent events such as ISIS and various bombings. So with the extra caution, the lady may have thought it was a flight risk. That's just my opinion with facts to back it up.
ALL lithium batteries are "EXTREMELY" unstable when below a certain state of charge ALL OF THEM, the thing with the smaller lithium batteries is they have a limiter built in them to keep them from discharging enough to become unstable, tho on the chinese knockoff cellphone batteries this is not true that is why u will see some cellphones explode because that person bought a cheap chinese battery for their phone and those don't always have limiters in them, the prob with the hoverboards and booster boards is because people like to ride the shit outa them u are going to have a bigger chance of it being in a high discharged state, so hence more unstable hence more likely to explode , the bigger the battery the bigger the danger, there is only special ways those batteries can be shipped, usually by land travel only or by commercial air since they have different regulations and safety methods
That lady absolutely had the authority to let that board go through, and opted not too, a bad choice considering how many people have seen this video. Or maybe this just made their job 1,000 times easier. Nobody likes going through checkpoints, but they are there for a reason. 😒
The boosted board is obviously a serious threat to the passengers on that plane, that thing could have been a terrorist for all we know, i'm just glad that the Australian Airline Security is doing their job well.
You could tell airport customs to keep the boosted board at their possession and have your friend in Australia pick it up. And then ship it to you in New York. Or if there is a courier inside the airport, you could ship it to New York? Busted board!
So well said Casey - 'why the burden off info fall on us'. Had some similar experience on ground at DMV, when one officer said- 2 address proof (leasing, bank address proof, electricity or Credit card statement) while the other one said no credit card statement, to which i said the other officer told me its good, to which officer respond i'm the supervisor. I get that but don't have different set of rules, it takes time for the billing cycle.
It will be the battery , if it can't be separated from the board then it's a big no no , I'm very surprised other airlines let it through, wouldn't be surprised if they didn't look to see what it was , - there is such a thing as an exploding battery , would you want to be on a plane if one went off ? The same with electric wheelchairs , the battery must be separated or it becomes aviation hazard ( you can google this ) other airlines are not doing their job properly letting it go through and I don't think you can take the battery out.
he brought it on the same airline he flew in with. And he even checked it under the plane if you watch from the other video when he landed in australia.
I Feel Embarrassed for my Country Casey, As you had Brought it ok I feel it was Emirates Responsibility to send it back to you at home they allowed you to bring it in in the first place without a warning and also our customs either of them should have done the right thing and returned it to you place of residence I do hope you enjoyed your stay and remember Australia has more places than Just Sydney Like Perth for example Thanks for the entertaining Videos Enjoy the Vegemite a tip smear it on as a scraping NOT like Peanut Paste / Butter otherwise I guarantee you WILL hate it
Not on the way in it waent otherwise how did it get here and another thought he could have removed the battery left that here and just taken the board home and got a new battery when he got home. Also I wonder what happened to the board I think they Auction them of so if so Will they send him the proceeds of the Sale?
When you enter Australia from an international flight you usually have to go through Customs and often they single out people for a more intensive baggage check on a random basis I imagine now it is probable every person due to Drugs or Terrorism Im not sure as I haven't traveled overseas in 20 years REgardless his Boost board should have been picked up as it would have been scanned as is ALL luggage and Persons why didnt they pick it up upon entering ? They would have either got him for a fine Think of Bringing illegal Food into Australia and it gets Confiscated, If it was so serious He should have been Nabbed for endangering the plane Regardless I think it is Unfair that they get to keep it , Casey is without a Board and no one told him leaving America he couldn't bring it on the plane ...
I mean it sucks a lot, but saying no one told him he officially cant bring his board is not the problem. Casey should have read the rules himself which would state that the board was illegal. You cant always rely on other people to inform you.
Awe...that's so sweet to be loved by all those kids. How nice. Too bad about the board but not the end of the world. It looks like you had a wonderful send off.
Dumb people. Are you 5?? ITS THE AUSTRALIAN BORDER FPRCE THAT TOOK IT (yeah, those c**ts, I'm Aussie and I hate em). Tweet at them, emerites did nothing
Regarding Boosted boards, Australia, and their flight policies Boosted should have the most knowledge. If you look on their site it states only the standard battery is "fully certified for passenger airliner travel." So Casey, was this a standard or extended range battery? Not sure that would have mattered, but it is certainly a consideration. I would investigate and keep in mind for future flights. Which carrier did you take on that leg of your return? Can a UA-cam staffer ship it back to you?
What's interesting is the Emirates baggage policy states spare lithium batteries cannot be in your checked baggage. I wonder, now that the Boosted Board has removable batteries, if you can instead carry them onboard?
Oh, so batteries can't be removed, since it was gen. 1, regardless of the fact that it was the lower capacity batteries. So why didn't Casey either miss his plane or call UA-cam, so he or someone could ship it? After all, he was late getting to Australia. I imagine he just wanted to get home, and who knows what his upcoming schedule looks like. Candice and Francine are reason enough...
As of April 1st LIPO batteries were no longer allowed on international cargo flights. The Boosted board would need to travel on a ship. The time until delivery and the expense hardly makes it worth it. Especially when you can get another for free. It is only a matter of time until he gets busted for checking the batteries for his drone. Checked LIPO batteries are not allowed. The policies are set by the International Air Transport Authority and all airlines must follow them.
Again, the issue is whether they could be removed and carried on for transit in the pressurized cabin. Isn't this different than a cargo plane? And would there still be a risk of the debatteried board being confiscated?
he took it with him as hand luggage if he gave it in with his suitcases when getting his boarding pass most likely they would not of noticed and he would of had his boosted board still
Casey, seriously, if you had just declared your dogs instead of trying to smuggle them into the country, this would not have been an issue! Everyone knows you can't travel through Australia with two Yorkshire terriers!
You know, I am well aware that you are a good way into your fame, but, I still have to say it. Nothing makes me happier than to see a person who is successful in their life. Maybe it's that I am more of the guy who watches other's success than a successful guy that allows me to feel a rush of empathetic happiness for folks like you. I have to say thank you for all you do. Man, if there ever was a vicarious window into another world, you've opened it wide for all of us to peer through. Pure entertainment, and inspirational really. Life in the cheaper seats can feel a little like a Chinese finger trap. Again, thank you for these videos, brother..
Call me crazy but you should be able to get your item back if you're unable to take it with you on a plane. The multiple airports I have been to have mailboxes to mail items you are unable to take on the plane. This almost seems like theft to be honest. I don't understand why their policy allows them to seize personal belongings that aren't even jeopardizing the safety of others, especially when their policy pertains to a plane which he wasn't even on. If I was Casey I wouldn't give up just yet. I guarantee they didn't just throw this thing in the dumpster...
Usually Casey gets very friendly and talkative with the people that are escorting him, or with us while he's being toured on various stuff. This one felt very professional, in that the pilot was very straightforward "hello - thisishowwhatwhere - flies around, doesnt talk - lands "bye mate, have a good day". By no means unfriendly, just ...curt? I guess?
That's theft. You can argue if taking the board is justified or not, but the action of taking away a person's property without intention of return is called theft.
I know this Video is 2 Years old, but i love watching his vlogs. I'm always surprised how relaxed people react to Casey on his boosted board in the streets. I'm from Germany. I always think if he does this in Germany, the german car drives will honk their car horns as often as possible. Ok maybe he cut the sound out, dunno :D Comes always to my mind when I see him ride it :D
S7 Edge has no explosion concerns. It is the Galaxy note 7, and there are definite policies about that phone, you can't check it in baggage, and it must be completely shut down during flight.
Casey you inspire me so much. You are an amazing person, and an amazing filmmaker. Beyond that, the amount of weird looks in this video you got is crazy😂 but you forget that and just make your video which makes your content even better. Keep going!
Sailed into Sydney from Auckland. Great city. Our Airbnb The Beatles Apartment got screwed up, had to scramble to find alternative. Beautiful place, took a trip out to Manley Beach❤️
This has zero to do with Sydney Airport.. Most airports have this policy and Emirates hspecifically has this policy.. FROM EMIRATES PAGE>>>>> Personal motorised vehicles are not allowed on board For safety reasons, we can’t accept personal motorised vehicles such as hoverboards, mini-Segways and smart or self-balancing wheels on our flights. We can’t carry them either as checked-in baggage or as hand luggage as they contain large lithium batteries. This regulation still applies even if you’re connecting to our flights from an airline that has accepted them.
This has been answered 100 times already in the comments section... I'm not going through it again. Second of all.. It's their policy. Not all rules make sense.
Why wasn't he stopped by the police when he used his board in gorgeous Sydney? He does everything in a very obvious way, haha. I'm sure they saw him. At 11:15 there's also a Sydney kid following him with their own boosted board. Even if he got the thing in, you think they'd let this "sporting item" go with him. Usually when you're going someplace, it's the rules of the place you're going to you have to follow. Leaving is a weird time for Australia to care, unless he's sneaking off with wildlife or something else that's a part of Australia. You'd think they'd be glad to have this icky "sporting" contraband gone :)
A big fan On your videos Casey seriously the amount of hard work and thought process behind each shot is simply awesome .. you are truly the guidebook on Vlogging ..if there’s ever a hall of fame on UA-cam you would top the list..
I love and live in Sydney Australia, but seeing this really makes me upset, it makes me upset that millions of people will watch this video and think less of Australia, it's not our fault, blame the politicians, not us, please. Thank you to all the people who did not throw this all on Australia
Crazy how to they took it from you :/. side note- 4M+ subs now, congrats! I"m working towards my first 100 subs, i'm excited!:) Keep up the great work!
That would actualy infuriate me. Border Patrol is a perfect example of Mind Numbing Stupidity as entertainment. Its the perfect example of Reality TV as Brain Rot in combination of Authoritarian Propaganda. I hardly ever watch Australian commercial TV stations, but if Border Patrol comes insta channel change.
@casey neistat In Singapore airport, it is more rational for them to send the prohibited item separately to the destination airport and you can pick it up at the customs office upon arrival. That is a brilliant idea and not straight off upsetting/cause a loss to the owner.

Thats a long way to go on a boosted board mate
I would’ve just gone to a post office send it from Australian post in Sydney to America
Having said that, modern drone batteries like those from the Phantoms and Mavics are no more of a safety risk than laptop batteries.
bosster board can get in
but cannot get out ?
what ? this is australia airport law ?
Andrew Samosir yeah I know wtf are these Australian laws are bull shit! How are you allowed to bring it in but not take it out!!?? When Casey got in to Australia I really didn't want him to think Australia was a bad country but for the record that lady was a complete utter FUCKING mess. She's got to get her shit together and stop recking other people days. Casey Please don't think Australia is bad it was only that stupid lady.
Andrew Samosir has it got anything to do with the lithium batteries not allowed on the plane? If they are over a certain amphour or weight then I think they are not allowed, a real shame
They aren't Australian laws, those are just some stupid security doing a bad job. Only few security people do that stupid thing here in Australia.
Green Tealaan ok good explanation, better than mine.
That won't happen
Aussies airports security are fucking crazy man they won't give a fuck
Can you cite the rule? Because that boosted board bag falls well within the required dimensions.
That girls reaction in the shoe store was priceless
first harambe goes and now casey's boosted board, what has the world come to
fuck off
harambe shit is getting really fucking old
yumadthough?
The thing is no one knew about Harambe till he died so why do people not care about him before he died?
Because he wasnt a meme or dead ^
On which video can I find info re harambe?
Beautiful place, Sydney! You could perhaps get the GUEST RELATIONS at the InterCon to retrieve your BOOSTED BOARD and send it to you as cargo. I worked in Guest Relations with InterCon eons ago and that's the sort of thing I did.
+
How to tell Australian is nice, you put your camera in front of an ATM machine, and you survive.
but the fuxkin TSA
Glad I'm not the only one who thought that was weird.
I can't believe how hooked I am to this guy's videos; a month ago, I didn't even know he existed.
Know* it's ok everyone does it.
One word for you sir, Tosser.
You have a lot of catching up to do. His Neistat Bros series will help explain a lot too, enjoy.
+Shaun Sayres a true hero he is
He knows how to tell a story and I'm a sucker for a brilliantly comprised narrative. Thanks providing some context.
What a bad way to end a trip in Australia. Good one Emirates
Don't blame Australia, blame Emirates
+Capfrost ...can you read?
I thought he was going through Aussie security after that you can board whatever airline you need to.
lol
Its not emirates fault
Some beautiful timelapses at the beginning!
garlic bread
mint ice cream
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Time lapse, a hyperlapse is a moving timlapse
I know right
lol Casey I did the same thing, when they didn't let me take a statue of captain America on the plane, they said it could be used as a weapon... I said my phone was a better weapon, then I went through another layer of security #thuglife
Cole Gardener wtf my glasses are more a weapon than a statue of Captain America
😂😂😂
Hey Casey, I know of a friend who works at the Sydney AirPort Customs Border Patrol and you can send IT via mail home
U should email him!!!
TELL HIM!!
He. E
Ok
can you also help me get me a bag through? the contents are 'secret' ;)
I believe the boosted board 2 has removable batteries, I'm guessing the batteries were the issue here... he could have removed them and then at least kept the board and bag
it was a v1
He brought the boosted v1, so nope
Yeah, Lithium batteries are fire hazards so they can't be taken on planes. But then again Galaxy S7 batteries are fire hazards.. Doesn't make a lot of sense
She also said "no sporting goods", so that wouldn't have helped.
But yet they didn't say anything about the drone?
That's like $1800 down the drain
Cassey is their best salesmen
exploding batteries
#CaseyBoostedBoardMatter
He's actually said before that he works with them, don't know in what capacity, but obviously their sales went through the roof when their product showed up here ;)
C Alonso
That's nearly a third of the cost of his first class flight back! :O
Why would they not give it back so you could at least give it to a fan...their version of TSA is Rolling fleets of those Boosties
They'll give it back to you but you're going to miss your flight
The attention to detail though... The lighting and composition at 6:38 are unreal.
I agree. It's like he's in a spotlight. He's a great at doing those that's why I watch him everyday haha. And why in 12:53 did he wrote Ausralia lol
That was cool. Thanks for pointing that out
I can't fucking believe I went to that place only a few hours before Casey....
I'm so fucking mad at myself.
Is he using autofocus? But why is it so quick and smooth?
Christian Friedrichs Canon 70D or 80D. Auto focus on them are really good
"If you want, you can keep the bag"
"That would just make me sad"
Best quote
Not really a good qoutes if you don't know the contacts, still funny though
Casey, thank you for exposing your life to us all. I find you videos educational, uplifting, and entertaining.
You dont know what tf your talking about
@@mandybarney who doesn't
I want everyone to know that prostitution is legal in aus in all states so they really don’t care about letting those type of people in, it was something else she would have done,
Wtf
Boosted board taken at 11:30
you're a great man
Hey thanks
what? you guys dont look the whole video? what a shame..
***** ofc mr. president youre 24/7 busy doing the most important things on the world. dont lie to yourself..
loop yeah were totally 7 and we have free time
How the f*ck can you get the boosted board IN but not OUT. I'd be furious. Somebody better be giving me the amount of money however much that thing is!
1500$ +
ryandudea72
Yeah but he got it in in the first place. They can probably remove the battery somehow, They would not be taking my $2000 equipment and not pay me for it lol
seriously I'd be so pissed off.
Boosted boards also cost depending on which one u get 800$ to 1500$
I know its stupid.JFP PRODUCTIONS
If i lived in Australia i would go to the airport and get it from them (won't accept no as an answer) and send it to Casey in NYC!!
I live in Australia
king kazie idk its probably too late now?
I live in Sydney where he is right now
PierceTheBellybutton
I love even when it's straight up crunch time, you still make time for your fans. Genuinely nice person you are Casey.
australia has some of the strictest airport regulations in the world, it can be pretty annoying
btw you are liable for not looking up the rules, they cant specify everything to people it would be too complex. It is actually your fault that you didnt look it up at all
.
ok agree, I have retracted my statement. Sorry if I have offended anyone.
Yeah it can be but you also have to realise we're an island not a country, the worlds largest in fact.
It's a bit stupid though, I agree.
that's why you can bring in toads and don't leave with a skateboard?
The girl in the shop XD

So now there is a kangaroo on your booster somewhere ...
lmaooo underrated comment
So original to reference a kangaroo when he's in Australia.
aka lazarbeam da knagaroo
Yeah would've thought so but airports have their different rules that never match up.
kinda weird that he was able to bring it into australia through the same airline. pretty sad too :( thats the boosted 2
*****
Expensive things + Airport Security = Dumpster
I thought of that too, but the cost to ship that back to NY would have been prohibitive. It is a shame he couldn't give it to a fan though. Im wondering if Casey's fans in Sydney are contacting the airport in droves to try to buy that boosted board. The board they took sells for AU$1,499 in Australia. Chris
well it happens all the time with tsa...
Just get Marty and Moog to pick it up, at least it'll be in good hands man, But yaeh, pretty pissed with that.
they can not becaus the board not alowed in the countery in first place so they have to take it and destory it . just like drugs .by know every 1 should know austrial have some fucked up rules and customs
mightymods ye
Boards are allowed in the country. Why do Boosted ship them here
Once customs seize it. You have to wait until they dispose of it
+msms47 that's incorrect
Its so nice to see how you appreciate your fans enough to let them all take selfies with you
Everyone send a letter to the Australian airport security... honestly she didn't even know why she was not allowing it through... yes its got a battery, yes it has 4 wheels.
Let's get it trending on twitter @emiratesairlines #givecaseybackhisboostedboard @sydneyairport
Why so negative, man?
because it gives the companies a bad time when they just did what was on the regulations as well as wasting staffs time.
It isn't the airline's decision. It was the decision of the Australian version of the TSA
Why can't they send the boost-a-board thru FedEx or UPS?
Does this mean the Note 7 phones are not allowed either? lol
3 Australian airlines have banned the note 7s from being used and charged on their planes :D
*_That is Wrong. They should have been able to ship it to you_*
I agree Casey, I live in Australia and we are SO strict with our borders. It's insane!! Sorry man!
TRONNOR
Very true last time they took my spare drone battery wtf
They're needlessly strict, Francine. Anyone that travels a lot can tell you Australia's border security is obscene. Almost no other country comes close in terms of "controlling" mundane items.
What are they protecting people from here? A skateboard ?
how many Wh is it? www.casa.gov.au/sites/g/files/net351/f/_assets/main/dg/luggage/brochure.pdf
You're also very strict on video games. Your government sees them as nazi propaganda or something
I don't fully understand what happened, but here's my take:
"We're sorry, but even though this is yours and you brought it into our Country, it is not allowed in our country and we are taking it from you as you leave the Country."
So basically this is bullshit.
Check out Pistol and Boo.... I know they are dogs.. but its the same...
Aaron Wafflez
Aaron Wafflez it's just regulation
#GiveCaseyBackHisBoostedBoard EVERYONE TWEET @SydneyAirport
Its not Emirates that took the board, it was the border guards.
fixed
*****
Nice, I just wouldn't want the people at emirates to get spammed for something they didn't do :)
twatters, that's you guys.
Done!
I would like to Apologize on behalf of Australia. Some stuff we do really well but then we are behind in a lot of thinks. So Casey sorry mate.
Fuck you bogan, you don't represent shit!
Shut the fuck up Darren! I am so sick of your shit!!!
so? That's my own shit, you morron
Bogan it’s the lady’s fault not Australia, meanwhile WTF is this reply section? Holy shite
@@TheFlexorcist get screwed
you know that the board will be given to her husband or child
that's exactly what's going to happen
I hope Casey kept the remote!
Which is absolutely sad :(
fucking airport security people. they take all the shit .
Mr Nostalgia IF it was mine, I wouldve broken it in half before I left. That way they couldnt take it home.
rest in peace boosted board v1
Boosted v1* :(
RIP :(
ik
+Compace of course he knew that, but then if he didn't reply it wouldn't have as much chance of people seeing it, would it now?
v2
Casey with no boosted board? No such thing lol
Ikr :'(
it's okay he has like 4 more
+Riley Curry he practically OWNS the company
Seems kinda expensive such board,
lol
"You have to surrender it" absolute nono. wow.
"If you want, I can give you the bag.."
yeah right..
Put yourself in casey's shoes and see what you'll say.. that's BS
GogoTube that’s not BS... that’s life. Security has the responsibility of keeping you and other people safe
The only thing that’s bs here is the security
That lady absolutely had the authority to let that board go through, and opted not too, a bad choice considering how many people have seen this video. Or maybe this just made their job 1,000 times easier. Nobody likes going through checkpoints, but they are there for a reason. 😒
Surprised they don't let you ship it back
Yeah
that's what suprised me. I've been around the world and have always been able to ship from airports.
Yea, I wonder. This thing is about 2000 euros, there must be something they can do..
The boosted board is obviously a serious threat to the passengers on that plane, that thing could have been a terrorist for all we know, i'm just glad that the Australian Airline Security is doing their job well.
pretty sure that lady will keep it and sell it or smthing, they should be able to ship it.
You could tell airport customs to keep the boosted board at their possession and have your friend in Australia pick it up. And then ship it to you in New York. Or if there is a courier inside the airport, you could ship it to New York? Busted board!
he will get new one for free (:
He deserves one, two or three! He always feature his boosted board in his vlogs. They have to send him a replacement.
He's already been sent a bunch for free lol
So well said Casey - 'why the burden off info fall on us'. Had some similar experience on ground at DMV, when one officer said- 2 address proof (leasing, bank address proof, electricity or Credit card statement) while the other one said no credit card statement, to which i said the other officer told me its good, to which officer respond i'm the supervisor.
I get that but don't have different set of rules, it takes time for the billing cycle.
need a slogan "you are in the vlog"
I like that 😂
T-shirt please
what about "i need to get a run in"
It will be the battery , if it can't be separated from the board then it's a big no no , I'm very surprised other airlines let it through, wouldn't be surprised if they didn't look to see what it was , - there is such a thing as an exploding battery , would you want to be on a plane if one went off ? The same with electric wheelchairs , the battery must be separated or it becomes aviation hazard ( you can google this ) other airlines are not doing their job properly letting it go through and I don't think you can take the battery out.
This actually makes sense
he brought it on the same airline he flew in with. And he even
checked it under the plane if you watch from the other video when he
landed in australia.
And what about all mobile phones and computers?
Fabio De Santis
or external battery chargers.
Thanks for the explanation 😊
I Feel Embarrassed for my Country Casey, As you had Brought it ok I feel it was Emirates Responsibility to send it back to you at home they allowed you to bring it in in the first place without a warning and also our customs either of them should have done the right thing and returned it to you place of residence I do hope you enjoyed your stay and remember Australia has more places than Just Sydney Like Perth for example
Thanks for the entertaining Videos
Enjoy the Vegemite a tip smear it on as a scraping NOT like Peanut Paste / Butter otherwise I guarantee you WILL hate it
Not on the way in it waent otherwise how did it get here and another thought he could have removed the battery left that here and just taken the board home and got a new battery when he got home.
American's think they are God's gift to the world, and I bet you have never left your own country to find out the reality of the rest of the world
Ok so when was the last time you met an Australian in person ?
I mean it sucks a lot, but saying no one told him he officially cant bring his board is not the problem. Casey should have read the rules himself which would state that the board was illegal. You cant always rely on other people to inform you.
Awe...that's so sweet to be loved by all those kids. How nice. Too bad about the board but not the end of the world. It looks like you had a wonderful send off.
Guys let's Tweet at Emirates #GiveBackCaseysBooostedBoard
#savecaseysboard #caseyboard #airplaneboard #boosted
Dude, Emirates did not take the boosted board, it was the airport security authorities at the Sydney airport that did.
Dumb people. Are you 5?? ITS THE AUSTRALIAN BORDER FPRCE THAT TOOK IT (yeah, those c**ts, I'm Aussie and I hate em). Tweet at them, emerites did nothing
+Techboy1088 You should not hate the Australia Border Force, they messed up with Casey's board but they keep your country safe..
But it was Emirates in the first place giving him a hard time of check it in.
Casey did said this is his older boosted board 1 on his twitter.
And would there still be a risk of the debatteried board being confiscated?
why exactly isnt a skateboard allowed through customs ?
Like all phones ?
Probably a lot bigger
no I think it is due to the fact of the lithium cells themselves totalling over 99wh which is the limit to travel with.
No batteries over 1000 watts is what i was told, idk might be wrong
Cause it is straya mate
the fact that people of all ages watch these dope vlogs really says something about how relatable they are
Why did they let you take it into the county but not allow you leave with it?? Crazy!!
I guess American and Dubi Airports don't have the same regulations as Sydney Airport does.
The London trip was Virgin Atlantic was it not?
america let it on the plane end of story
Yeah I think Australian airports are more strict than others.
he took it with him as hand luggage if he gave it in with his suitcases when getting his boarding pass most likely they would not of noticed and he would of had his boosted board still
Casey, seriously, if you had just declared your dogs instead of trying to smuggle them into the country, this would not have been an issue! Everyone knows you can't travel through Australia with two Yorkshire terriers!
:-)
haha! Thanks for the laughs.
Johnny Depp
dogs? what
You're confusing Casey with Johnny depp
Chill guys, Boosted Boards gonna send him two new Boosted boards tomorrow...
Its the principle
and who is paying for celebs and rich ppl getting free gifts ? WE
+tr smith that's not the case at all
+tr smith your obviously a dumbass because the boosted board company isn't fucking collecting taxes
It's not the same one........................ and I'm a betting man that says he'd rather have than exact one that two new ones in place of it.
Come on australia give him his boosted board back
No it's ours now :)
its ours now. a historical artifact.
Give it back know he need it back !
Trust me he will get it back soon.
i think it has something to do with the battery. it might start fire.
I guarantee they didn't just throw this thing in the dumpster...
exactly. I am sure that staff want that board herself. or for her kids. that's theft.
That whole seaplane thing seemed a bit awkward.
ye right hahaha
how?
Yeah,i agree! I noticed it too.,
For one, flying like this is an experience best shared with another. This whole trip seems awkward without Candice along.
I guess?
casey's old vlogs are so good to rewatch
That's theft. You can argue if taking the board is justified or not, but the action of taking away a person's property without intention of return is called theft.
I know this comment is 2 years old, but 100% agree. It's pretty much legalized theft if they don't even give you the option of mailing it back home.
@@uncensorer Not theft, australia is just shit
Looks great, but (seriously) everything else is absolute shit over here
@@mcchickennug I'm not shit, I'm pretty good (but I get your point). Fun = ban here.
@@mcchickennug
How so?
@@foxxy2583 I liked it a lot, but the endless unnecessary rules are just unbearable
I know this Video is 2 Years old, but i love watching his vlogs.
I'm always surprised how relaxed people react to Casey on his boosted board in the streets.
I'm from Germany. I always think if he does this in Germany, the german car drives will honk their car horns as often as possible.
Ok maybe he cut the sound out, dunno :D
Comes always to my mind when I see him ride it :D
You can bring and Samsung Note 7 but not an boostedboard seriously WTF
S7 Edge has no explosion concerns. It is the Galaxy note 7, and there are definite policies about that phone, you can't check it in baggage, and it must be completely shut down during flight.
lol s7 edges are safe phones. if you even mention that restaurant issue i will personally fly over to slap you for being so gullible
Do some research before you comment. You tried to make the joke, but you turned out to be the joke
Careful you upset the nerds...
XD
Casey you inspire me so much. You are an amazing person, and an amazing filmmaker. Beyond that, the amount of weird looks in this video you got is crazy😂 but you forget that and just make your video which makes your content even better. Keep going!
Casey, Australias border security is so strict, i live in Australia and holy shit i was pissed. they took my baklava
Not the baklava!!!!!!!!!!
Turkish really.
balaklava*???
they took my grandmas jam lol
Lebanese baby please!
Just noticed that you are a “last minute” person... i luv it!!! 🙌🏽
Uh oh, another reason to procrastinate for homework :|
Thanks for the upload tho :>
A vlog a day keeps the doctor away though
Same homework-problem here in germany xD
I have the same problem :D
Exaaaaaactly the same here
Pushed my Homework further and further away... Just recognised that I just had to write down 3 sentences:D
FROM EMIRATES PAGE>>>>>
Personal motorised vehicles are not allowed on board
For safety reasons, we can’t accept personal motorised vehicles such as hoverboards, mini-Segways and smart or self-balancing wheels on our flights. We can’t carry them either as checked-in baggage or as hand luggage as they contain large lithium batteries. This regulation still applies even if you’re connecting to our flights from an airline that has accepted them.
And before you say "It's a boosted board.. Not a hover board" .. Try explaining that to someone that has no clue what it is..
don't phones also have lithium batteries, why are they allowed?
This has been answered 100 times already in the comments section... I'm not going through it again.
Second of all.. It's their policy. Not all rules make sense.
It's the size of the lithium batteries. They allow drones on board since their lithium batteries are smaller.
If you read it says large lithium batteries phones don't have large lithium batteries
Just found your channel and liked it you earned a sub
I didn't find any forks on your channel. Dissapointed...
Lol Felix
.
Lol. You earned his channel.
You actually make yourself sound silly by misreading his comment and then posting about it hmmmmmmm
That Asian girl was so cute

GamingTV yeet
Oh, its funny i guess
This vlog has the best music from the history of the vlog
Some security officer in Sydney is currently riding around a free Boosted Board. Clever work confiscating that.
NOTIFICATION SQUAD!!!!!
we're here!
Hell yeah boi!
No! Just seen on the mainpage

im 60% excited if he go there but if he meet fousey it is the end of the world
Is is just me that watches this guy cos my life is garbage compared to this guys life?
Nope
I feel the same
my life is the garbage Dump compared to this man, but I love my garbage dump...
And that is the problem with Beme ... edits and filters are good. Casey does some amazing fun stuff for sure, but also edits vids for hours
lolololololololol
13:14 the reason why i love his vlog. Pure Gold. 😂❤❤
you should have had the hotel mail it back to you
how? He was already at the security check.
yeah, if he had known ahead of time. but he was stuck there, on his own.
LIKE IF CASEY SHOULD GO TO ROMAN ATWOODS HOUSE AGAIN!!!
those were great vlogs
:)
read this casey
I'm sorry but I don't like him
Yes
Sorry Casey, the rules in Australia are really annoying we can't even have hoverboards
My cousin has hovere board in Sydney
Hoverboard *
oh wow really ? well safety first
Why wasn't he stopped by the police when he used his board in gorgeous Sydney?

Good job making a thinly veiled comment with a compliment you didn't really mean just so you'd get likes and people to visit your page.
Watch Casey be on Aussie Boarder patrol show
That would actualy infuriate me.
@casey neistat
In Singapore airport, it is more rational for them to send the prohibited item separately to the destination airport and you can pick it up at the customs office upon arrival. That is a brilliant idea and not straight off upsetting/cause a loss to the owner.
