😄🇵🇭 "Donde" and "onde" actually are synonyms in Chavacano. 😅 Also, actually the Chavacano word for the word and interrogative pronoun "where" is "donde" with the letter 'd', and "onde", on the other hand, is just a variant spelling and pronunciation of it, and both variant spellings and pronunciations are acceptable and understood in Chavacano to mean the word and interrogative pronoun "where" in Chavacano.
😇 By the way, when I used the word "Chavacano" here, it refers only to the dialect, variant, or variety of Chavacano/Chabacano or of Philippine Spanish or Spanish-based creole/s or creole language called Chavacano de Zamboanga, Chavacano Zamboangueño, or Chavacano with the letter 'v' and not the other dialects, variants, or varieties, because I personally don't know, communicate, and use the other still existing and living dialects, variants, or varieties of Chavacano/Chabacano.
👋🏼😃🇵🇭 Buenas o hola, saludos, y buenas noches desde aqui na Ciudad de Zamboanga, aqui na Filipinas!
Additional info: there are other locations in Philippines that speak Chavacano as well (that isn't mentioned here) aside from Zamboanga, these locations are both from Cavite Province: Ternate and Cavite City. However, they said that Zamboanga Chavacano and Cavite Chavacano are very different. Also, Cavite Chavacano is severely endangered, with less than 4,000 speakers in a city of 100,000. That is why, i guess, they only considered Zamboanga as the Asia's latin city since the whole province speaks Chavacano unlike Cavite who only have 4k speakers of it.
That's right. We actually reacted to a video of someone doing a news piece on Chavacano de Cavite, they went to Ternate trying to find someone who speak chavacano. It is important that they teach Chavacano to the youth so the language doesn't die with the old generation T.T
@@SolLunaTV Another information the Chavacano of Zamboanga City and the 2 place in Cavite Provence Are also different. Because Chavacano of Zamboanga City is Mix Spanish and Cebuano/Bisaya while the Chavacano of Ternate and Cavite City are mix Spanish and Tagalog. So when they have conversations there are some words that they well not understand immediately.
@@reymatt615 that is true i dont understand the visayan words and will not undetstand their sentences entirely when it contains more than two words in visaya . But if they speak straight up in spanish words as a caviteño i understand them
They already know of that 🤣
They know more than you know i watch ‘em cada video they upload 🫶🏻💗
Chavacano is more like have a tagalog grammar within the spanish so that makes the difference i think💜
WOW,,,this is amazing....
Proud Chavacano here 💖
Un pamparon🤣🤣🤣

You should meet Hidilyn Diaz. She is the first Filipino Olympic gold medalist in weightlifting. She also speaks fluent Chavacano, being from Zamboanga City🙂
It’s the only Spanish based creole language not just in the Philippines but also in Asia.
Merry Christmas! Sol y Luna ☃️🌲❤️
😅 By the way, I watched this video of and from Rice Squad when it was posted, and Rice Squad mistranslated the Chavacano word "mayores" in the translations or subtitles as "older siblings".
😂 "Mayores" (or "maga mayores") in Chavacano means "parents" (while our Chavacano word for "parent" is also "mayores" or specifically "tata" [father] or "nana" [mother]), because we don't say nor use the Spanish word "padres" in Chavacano for "parents", although those who know, use, speak, write, and/or communicate, or can or are able to communicate in Spanish, even just a little, know that "parents" in Spanish is "padres", also because that latter word ("padres"/"maga padre"/"maga padres") would mean as "priests" in Chavacano, and it would also confuse us.
😄 Our Chavacano word for "older siblings" is "maga mayor" or specifically "maga mayor hermano/-a" or "maga hermano/-a mayor", and for "older sibling" is "mayor" or specifically "mayor hermano/-a" or "hermano/-a mayor".
Im from zamboanga city, the lady in this interview speaks shallow chavacano. But there are some people who live outskirt part of the city, they speak more like spanish not chavacano. Particularly the older person speak a deep language chavacano but more of spanish even words they used sound differently very Spanish-speaking.
Here in Zamboanga city theres two ways of saying its onde and donde, it depends on how your going to use.
Our dialect in Surigao del Sur is Kamayo and we count the numbers in Spanish and many other words that I found out while watching latin/Spanish movies and series. My mom is a big fan of latin series especially series in Mexico.
Ohh my it's here now that i requested....gracias SoL Y Luna
Los idiomas chavacanos son hablantes de español más antiguos en el siglo 20 por los españoles coloniales en Filipinas, ahora los idiomas españoles son modernos. Nací y crecí en Filipinas y puedo hablar inglés, español y árabe.
I Really love your channel
Im so happy that you love zomboanga😊 and im happy that am half zomboanga half iloilo, iloilo is Spanish words but its small words
Hello, some languages in the Philippines, like Cebuano (Bisaya) and Hiligaynon, have many Spanish words as well that cannot be found in Tagalog. Like in Tagalog days of the week, Lunes-Sabado is Spanish aside from Linggo, which is Sunday. But in Hiligaynon and Bisaya, it's Domingo, exactly the same in Spanish. Also, some Hiliyanon/Bisaya words are derived from Spanish, like Abierto (Abri for short) for open, Hasta (until), Puerte (Fuerte) for strong, and many more loan words. All these words, cannot be found in Tagalog. So if you speak more than one language aside from Tagalog, like people in the provinces, your Spanish vocabulary is wider and it's easy for you to learn Spanish (for those non-Spanish speakers) 😊
✌🏼😅🇵🇭 I'll try to translate the sentences they translated into Spanish and Chavacano in the video of and from Rice Squad into all Chavacano and also more accurately or more exactly, only or solely based from the sentences given in English, as much as possible, as more accurate or as more exact, as much as I can, and as much as I know both English and Chavacano:
1. She is so beautiful.
= Ele bien/muy bonita. / Bien/Muy bonita ele.
2. I love to listen to Kpop.
= Quiere (o "Quiere-quiere/Bien quiere/Bien quiere-quiere/Mahilig/Bien mahilig") yo oi (o "oi con/oi el/oi na/oi con el") Kpop.
3. How old are you?
= Cuanto (o "Cuantos") año (o "años") ya tu (o "usté/uste/usted")?
4. When is your birthday?
= Cuando (el) tu (o "de tu/di tu/detu/ditu/de tuyo/de tuyu/di tuyo/di tuyu/detuyo/detuyu/dituyo/dituyu") cumpleaño (o "dia de cumpleaño/dia de nacimiento")?
5. Call me on my phone.
= Llama (tu/usté/uste/usted) conmigo na mi (o "mio/de mi/de mio/di mi/di mio/demi/demio/dimi/dimio") telefono.
6. Four of my brothers live in the Philippines.
= Cuatro (bilug) de mi (o "mio/de mi/de mio/di mi/di mio/demi/demio/dimi/dimio") hermanos (o "maga hermano/maga hermanos") ta queda na Filipinas.
7. The lady's hair is long.
= El pelo de/del mujer (o "señora/señorita/dalaga/dalaguita/soltera/solterita") largo. / Largo el pelo de/del mujer (o "señora/señorita/dalaga/dalaguita/soltera/solterita").
8. Remember to subscribe to RICE SQUAD!
= Acorda suscribi na (o "con/con el") RICE SQUAD!
In chavacano, DONDE and ONDE are the same. We can say DONDE EL TU MAYORES AHORA or ONDE EL TU MAYORES AHORA. Just the same.
In iloilo we speak hiligaynon and there are word have Spanish words like
Abre
Atras
Abante
Lamisa
Pwerta
Este
Bintana

After this can you raect to miss dianara Torres bec she's a puerto Rican miss universe she's stay in the Philippines on how many years 90s film and joining tv series here in Philippines hope you can search her she's a Spanish girl
it is actually donde but onde is like slang
Actually we also use in Zamboanga donde it depends on how to use these words when asking to peiple
The Word's QUEDA in chavacano is very complicated. it can either be LIVE,LEFT,BECOME,BECAME,GET,STAY or REMAIN.
The reason why it is very difficult to translate in english.
FOR EXAMPLE.
Queda yo solo na de amun casa.-- I STAY alone in our house.
Donde tu ta Queda?.-- Where do you LIVE?
Yo ta queda na canelar street.-- I LIVE in canelar street.
De mio todo diente Ya queda color amarillo por causa na pumada de cigarillo.-- my teeth BECAME yellowish because of smoking of cigarettes.
Algun dia quiere yo queda un rico de hombre. Someday I want to BECOME a rich man.
Another Example that's really hard to translate in English. I dare zamboanguenos to do this.HAHHAHAHA.
QUEDA LANG SE BUENO DE TUYU HERIDA, BASTA NO LANG TANTO AGARA QUE AGARA.
YA QUEDA MI BAG NA TAXI, NO HAY YO PUEDE SABE.QUE MODO SE ARA (Ahora)?TALLA TODO DE MIO IMPORTANTE PAPELES.
COSA TA PASA CONTIGO? TA QUEDA MAN TU ABEMBAO.LEJOS GAYOT EL DE TUYU PENSAMIENTO.
Thank you guys i learned a lot of spanish 🫶🏻😘❤️
Magellan went to the Philippines with the Portuguese alliance and Felipe also with the Spanish alliance so the Chavacanos are mixed.
Tem um video desse só com o Português Brasileiro e eles se entenderam muito bem também!!! Onde é uma palavra portuguesa que significa donde ksksks
Hola Sol Luna!
Sol and Luna is Sun and Moon...😋
the host is muy guapo
Actually theres a Filipino language that close also in Spanish, like hiligaynon or illonggo.
Ex. Lamesa, sapatos, aparador. And etc. There's a differences in hiligaynon, like is in Iloilo and one is in South Cotabato there's some in there accents are different, but the same words
Spanish speakers can't understand hiligaynon or illonggo.
we also have that spanish words in tagalog and bisaya, not just ilonggo, huwag kang ilusyonada
yes its correct,,,, the correct is DONDE not ONDE..
hola chavacano de cotabato

Chavacano is more from Zamboanga City Philippines..The Asia Latin City
New Mexico Spanish is also different compared to other different places.
Well you should talk to a legit chavacano speaker "the older, the better" don't talk to gen Z 😂
Cebuanos/as use some spanish words....ex: samin (bisaya) salamin (tagalog) - new gen. But for old gen it is espiho (spanish)
espejo ang salamin sa chavacano..espiho bisaya jud na...
Guna vez quiere yo di hací mana videos sobre el chabacano caviteño si tiene ya yo el corage queda na frente de un camera , no yo ta encanta el sonido de mi voz por eso . No como vusos dos tan perfecta

Oh, I speak hiligaynon girls...it's the lingua franca of iloilo and Bacolod...btw I just recently knew the history of our language...
Spanish merchants made the hiligaynon language so they can communicate w/ local merchants of our town...in short this language does not exist in precolonial times...hehehe 🤣🤣🤣 just want to share...
Btw, we also don't understand each other If we will just use our local language to communicate with non hiligaynon speakers
