- Matheran hill station has always been my go-to weekend getaway but surprisingly I have never visited Matheran in Monsoon until now. This time I visited Matheran in July and it was a Matheran in Rainy Season experience.
I initially planned a one day trip to Matheran but then turned it into a 2 day trip to Matheran. I have also provided the itinery and 2 day trip to Matheran budget in the video so do watch the video till the end. I also did travel in Matheran toy train and to see the valley view from Matheran toy train was such a experience.
The intention to make this video was that even though there are many other Matheran videos but every of the videos shows everyone visiting all the famous points of Matheran irrespective whether you are enjoying or not and when you travel with family and friends we are very cautious and also not everyone is comfortable with exploring so much. So I decided to make this video and showcase the real and honest happenings of our visit in Matheran. This video is Matheran walking tour.
Matheran trip is a must have trip in every season and I like going to Matheran always. I am also planning to make video on Thane to Matheran one day trip. Matheran is also a marathon hill station. It is ofcourse the best places to visit in Maharashtra.
I am planning to visit Matheran hill station in summer.

Please note that the budget mentioned in the video is whole some and divide by 2 for per person basis!
माथेरान हिल स्टेशन हमेशा से मेरे सप्ताहांत के दौरे का केंद्र रहा है, लेकिन आश्चर्य की बात है कि मैं अब तक मानसून में माथेरान कभी नहीं गया हूं। इस बार मैंने जुलाई में माथेरान का दौरा किया और यह बरसात के मौसम में माथेरान का अनुभव था।
मैंने शुरुआत में माथेरान की एक दिन की यात्रा की योजना बनाई थी लेकिन फिर इसे माथेरान की 2 दिन की यात्रा में बदल दिया। मैंने वीडियो में यात्रा कार्यक्रम और माथेरान की 2 दिवसीय यात्रा का बजट भी प्रदान किया है, इसलिए वीडियो को अंत तक अवश्य देखें। मैंने माथेरान टॉय ट्रेन में भी यात्रा की थी और माथेरान टॉय ट्रेन से घाटी का दृश्य देखना एक ऐसा अनुभव था।
इस वीडियो को बनाने का इरादा यह था कि भले ही मानसून वीडियो में कई अन्य माथेरान हैं, लेकिन प्रत्येक वीडियो में सभी को माथेरान के सभी प्रसिद्ध बिंदुओं का दौरा करते हुए दिखाया गया है, भले ही बारिश हो रही हो या नहीं और जब आप परिवार और दोस्तों के साथ यात्रा करते हैं तो हम बहुत खुश होते हैं। सतर्क और भारी बारिश में यात्रा करना हर किसी के लिए आरामदायक नहीं होता। इसलिए मैंने यह वीडियो बनाने और माथेरान में हमारी यात्रा की वास्तविक और ईमानदार घटनाओं को दिखाने का फैसला किया।

How's the network connectivity in Matheran? Which sim works the best?
Network connectivity is very bad... especially when you visit the points. Hotels usually have wifi connection also Idea sim works better than all other sims.

Aman Lodge to Matheran: It starts from 8.58am and the last trains leaves at 5.35pm. Its just a 20mins journey to Matheran. Detailed train timetable : trainnews.in/aman-lodge-to-matheran-train-time-table-aman-lodge-matheran-toy-train-timings/
Neral to Matheran: Its a slow journey to matheran and will take upto 2hrs to reach Matheran. I would suggest for you to go via cab to Aman Lodge and then take the train from there. Also this train is non-operational during monsoon and will start operations from October 2023. Detailed Timetable :

Your hotel rent itself is 3500rs per day, how did you mention 2000rs 2 day trip in thumbnail?
Yes thats the hotel room. But I have also mentioned not just in the video but also in the description that the budget is to be considered as per person basis. So 3500/2 becomes around 1700. So per person is 1700 for room.
E vehicle chalu hai kya ? For old people
To be honest, vaha sirf e-vehicle ka charging unit dikhta...me jitni vaar bhi gyi hu matheran vaha meko 1 bhi e-vehicle nai dikha. For old people you can opt for pulleys...bargain kroge to 600 / person ko lekr jayenge hotel tak

Prebook kiya toh better h cause agar weekend par jaa rhe ho toh jaise room chaiye vaise milna difficult hoga and bheed bhi hoti h...hotel vale jyada bhi charge krte hai...so its better prebook krke jao

Yes I have a full time job and only get weekends to travel. So every weekend I plan a 1 day trip or a weekend trip either solo or if any of my friends join.
I usually plan by how much I can explore and how will the experience benefit me.

Hello Sivaji!! Usually people do come to Neral Station only to visit Matheran and I have momentarily mentioned in the video where I do come and go and all the details.
For your reference, I have travelled from Thane to Neral Station and back to Thane.

The toy train from Aman Lodge to Matheran is operating and the view is spectacular. You can reach Matheran in just 20mins.
However, due to Monsoon, toy train from Neral to Matheran is not operating and will be operational from October 2023.
