Very interesting insights. As a devotee I have a question since a long time.. how to reconcile the scholarly understanding that the Bhagavatam is around a thousend years old with the traditional understanding that it is 5000 years old, written by Vyasa? Studying the development of indian thought makes it obvious that there is a gradual unfoldment of the ideas presented in Shrimad Bhagavatam, it cannot just appear out of thin air, it builds on a long debate about Vedanta, Sankhya and so on. But somehow it feels unfaithful to look on the holy text with the glasses of modern critical tools.
Captivating to hear the reciter sing and to see the good translation at the same time!
-what a wonderful question&answersession!
Thankyou
