- In this video I go over several things you will probably want to do before the launch of Chapter 5 Season 3! With a new season theres no telling how much will change in Fortnite so I suggest learning different POIs that you ignored for most of this season as well as trying out different weapons in case your favorites get vaulted in Season 3. Also with a new season you will not be able to unlock anything from this seasons battle pass so make sure you get that sorted before the launch of season 3. I'm a 41-year-old dad and started playing Fortnite one month ago because my 7-year-old got really into this game. I cringe at every Fortnite YT except Jake. As some already commented, feels like Jake is talking to adults and not preschool kids. Learned a bunch of stuff and got pretty decent at the game in a short period of time. Don't know much about the past seasons or what to expect in the upcoming one but definitely learned a lot of useful info that instantly improved my game.
I'm a 74 year old grandad with 8 battle royals and my 9 year old grandson got me into the game. We now play with his dad in group group games and were having a lot of fun. There are a lot of wankers out there thinking there invincible. In my opinion chains and water bending should be vaulted.
Level 163 or so and have done all the quests at this point. The last two or three pages of the bonus stuff is ugly as hell and I find it not worth the effort to grind for.

Lego gives 30,000 XP like every 10 mins. Or 15 mins. Something like that. I haven't actually timed it but I always level up at least a few times for every Lego session. lol.
Yeah, 30,000 every 15 minutes with a max of 420,000 xp per day.

Lego Fortnite gives 5 levels if you play for about 3.5hrs everyday and with the Star Wars items being added, its honestly a fun time however there is a limit on how much XP you earn per day but I think it resets whenever the item shop updates according to some players

I switched up my play style a bit. With all quests completed thats such a great idea to find out better strats! I got so much better with the gate keeper, I used the frenzy for the longest time but my aiming has gotten better so gate keeper is my new fave hehe
Hi Jake, been watching your vids for almost a year now. Started Fortnite March of last year at the very end of Ch4S2 before i got knowledge of these seasons and really started playing a few weeks into Ch4S3. First time commentor, just to say I really appreciate how you present your videos- straightforward, casual tone without the "hype energy" i see many bigger YT content creators using where sometimes comes off as cringe. Your videos have helped me be more competent with my squad and regardless of skill level or solo win ratios, just flat out enjoy playing. I have my preferred weapons and playstyles of course, but will for the most part be in the mood to use anything... like this season's Drum Gun and Tactical AR i can tear it up with despite finding out from creators and other commentors that they have been low on the tier listings. i seem to be the melee specialist in my squad being this season's Hades Chains (lately been trying a Hades Chain pull > iron warrior reaper sniper), and last season'a Grapple Blade. So, for all that, yes Ive been using your creator code. Just hate we keep having to reapply it every week cuz i forgot to at the start of this season for the BP. And I'm also one of those Lego FN players, which is probably why my season level is i think around 375... 30k XP every 15min (one in-game "day") is pretty insane, plus more BP XP through Lego-specific weekly/daily quests on top of all the weekly/story quests in the Battle Royal modes. The only BR quests i missed this season was one Midas quest and one Avatar event quest. Excited for the new season and looking forward to all your vids Jake!

He mentions around 8 minutes in about getting into fights quicker i completely agree. You should be w keying 90% of the match then once it gets down to final 10 last couple of circles thats when you wanna slow down. Youll never get better crouched in that bunker.
I'll miss the chains, pulling players into a gatekeeper shot is so op.
Usually I'm thinking that OP items balance out if everyone has access, but I can't wait for waterbending to leave lmao
I play every chance I get but without having reliable internet I always miss out on some things from the pass I want, this pass is the lowest level I've been by the end of a season. Hoping I can get all the quest rewards at least.
Cant wait for the hades chains and water bending to finally be deservingly vaulted. I feel like I'll be winning more close range and long range fights now since I've been practicing with the regular guns.
Hi Jake! This is a bit off topic, but could you provide some info, what changes were made with fortnitetracker and how playstyle affects stats? Did not change my playstyle. But instead > 4900 TRN points Ch5 S1, I´m stuck at 1700 like glued , no matter how many wins and kills (almost doubled amount compared to last season)

I learnt this LATE, by chance, but if you hire an NPC and free Chewie you let the NPC take the last storm trooper killbshot and you end up with a 3 man squad!
I'm guessing any "free characters" this will probably work through new seasons.
IE. Hired NPC is tethered to you, freed NPC is tethered to your NPC. This confuses the hell out of opponents with 3 lots of footsteps around them, so hard for them to figure out who is the actual player to kill 🤗🤗🤗🤗

I've usually been able to finish the battle pass or get very close the past 10 seasons except this one. Mainly because I took a hiatus and started having fun in helldivers 2 lol. But yeah I still like fortnite, so I'm gonna try to grind the next week since I'm level 75

I lore related theory I have that affects BR gameplay is that "antisociety weapons" are never going to get vaulted for the rest of the chapter
Hope is some kind of protagonist in the lore of the chapter, if you complete all the snapshots you get a loading screen featuring her and some graffiti in the background this graffiti has a Nemesis AR and Frenzy Auto Shotgun
So, maybe the weapons that have grafitti motives on them like Frenzy Auto Shotgun, Némesis AR and Thunder Burst SMG are going to be there next season
Been a strange season, my elims per game has gone way up, recent VR's with 13 and 16 elims but not as many VR's and crown wins as previous seasons, in fact they are way down. That final survival llama , 10 VR's with 10 elims is going to elude me again this season. Hopefully I'll remain competitive enough to keep it fun and not frustrating, not getting any younger at 74
I'm level 230 something, so for the last week i might just play Festival just to get ahead on the Billie Eilish cosmetics from the pass.

Advice from a level 365 if you need levels (and have friends) play go goated and take turns getting the extra xp thing in the center of the map and then just fight

no they reset after 14 days. Epic may change it in the future but thats how it is for now
I liked season 2 for the most part.
Really want more weapon variety though, they keep adding guns in that are just okay compared to what we already have. Like the Hand Cannon and Tac AR are useless with the Reaper and Warforged in the game.
I hope they get rid of some of the guns we've had since C5S1, Reaper Sniper, Ranger Pistol, Frenzy Auto. If not for balance just for some variety.

im not sure but it doesnt hurt to have it in your shop when the season rolls over if you get your bp from crew.

@@sinder666 you have around 6 days to earn 20 levels. Playing creative you can earn around 4 levels a day in just a couple of hours a day. Add some BR or Team Rumble or Ranked to get there faster. You're gonna make it - if you want to. Festival, Rocket and Lego give good xp too (but dont expect to get it afk'g)
There is plenty of time you just have to play. If you decide to invest into the game you do get your money back just in v-bucks. You could also prob buy crew for the one month and get 2 extra skins and still get your money back. Then you just save your v-bucks and only buy battlepasses with your single investment.
Been using chains alot recently to spice the games up until the new season.

I hated this season just for the fact that I liked all the POI’s in season 1…all the bosses were awesome! I didn’t like the change with the bosses and the fact that place like grand glacier and classy courts weee basically nothing. I played maybe 40 matches in all of season 2
I’m at 125 and it feels impossible to reach 200; the grind is ridiculous. The battle pass is not meant for adults with any semblance of a life
I can't believe the season is about to end and my level is basically high enough to have everything. But I still don't have the money to purchase the pass. Ugh. :(

Get waterbending and chains gone, both are boring & OP beyond belief. They may aswell have vaulted all AR's, Snipers, DMR & the hand cannon with the amount of lamebenders going around.

The same for the chains but they just over compensated for both & then left them alone thinking they were fine when they're clearly kinda cracked. 😂 It's just annoying that the meta currently incentivises people to use these gimmicky items over actual guns with bullets in my opinion. 🤷♂

Honestly one of the worst seasons since I started playing
This gotta be the most miserable boring season I've played. Didn't really care for c5s1 but c5s2 just doubled down on everything I already didn't like. Can barely even force myself to play it. Normally I'm easily lvl 200+ each season, here I've barely hit lvl 80. I want to be optimistic for c5s3 but honestly it's probably gonna be more of the same.
I've tried LITERALLY EVERYTHING u could think of on how to freshen up the game as far as weapons. It hurts to say but the game rn, is shit. The meta is literally META. Like YOU HAVE TO USE THE META TO EVEN HAVE A SMALL CHANCE AT WINNING JUST A PUB GAME. The game NEEDS to update for it to even become playable and balanced again, let alone fun. No matter what playstyle u try, you WILL ALWAYS, ALWAYS LOOSE to a gatekeeper waterbending sniper. Everytime. I've tried and seen it everytime I've tried.
