Choked up EGR system Clean Ford Fiesta 1.4TDCI

In this video we will be tearing down the EGR system and giving it a good clean down, after about 120k plus miles I think it needs a bit of a clean.
This channel is designed as guide and educate viewers in repairing everyday and non everyday items, however if you are to use these videos as a guide then it will be "use at your own risk" but hopefully they are helpful and entertaining enough for you.

If you yank off the electric actuator, pop it open, generally you will find the inside is a corroded mess of green gunk - or well on its way. Without bothering to open it, you can see if the actuator arm returns to full rest - it will often have a "sticking point" that is just shy of the full stroke - which means it's bin fodder.

Awesome channel! I've got a Citroen C3 with the exact same engine, gets super fuel consumption 😃 Did you notice any decrease in fuel consumption after cleaning the egr & cooler?
