The 308 GTS is probably my favourite Ferrari model - so glad I got the Magnum release before the prices skyrocketed. The 250 California is a great model too.
Christine is looking gorgeous as always. Buddy Repperton's Camaro was a no-brainer. Christine is chasing that Camaro in my display case all day long!

I’m lucky enough to have all of these pieces featured in my collection. I’ve really enjoyed the replica entertainment releases over the years. There are only 3 or 4 I would need to have a complete up to date collection but I don’t want fake spaceships in my collection.

Yeah, the 1/64 scale version of the F40 from Hot Wheels always had an opening rear hatch save for the final version of the release before Hot Wheels lost the rights to Ferrari, the F40 in the second version of the 2014 Ferrari 5-pack, where it was retooled with a plastic chassis and no opening hatch, although an earlier version of the same 2014 Ferrari 5-pack had the full metal, opening hatch version.
The F512 M (Le Mans) casting, not to be confused with the 512 M (Modificata) casting (the one used for Miami Vice even though it's the third generation Testarossa unlke the first generation one used on the TV show), also had an opening rear hatch. Redline era Ferrari Hot Wheels also had opening features but that was the era when a good percentage of Hot Wheels cars did.

Considering the Pontiac Fiero won the 3D Botmaker Diecast Ferrari tournament despite, umm... not actually being a Ferrari, it's only fitting that the other Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment car for Ferris Bueller's Day Off was also a Pontiac Fiero.
I have all of the Retro Entertainment Ferraris (and the Ferris Bueller Fiero) but the Hart to Hart Dino 246 GTS was the hardest one for me to find in stores in Ottawa by far as I think I only ever saw it once.

Very nice my friend, those are some awesome Ferraris. Wish I was working right now instead of being laid off because of this coronavirus stuff or I might by piece or two. Thank you for the awesome show my friend and stay safe.

I think the Ferrari F-40 has an opening feature - the entire rear flips up. I am not aware of any that were produced for any of the premium series?

I have a black f40 from 1999 and the (hood? trunk?) lifts up to expose the metal engine. Pretty sweet car

On the Ferrari 250 California, the headlights are painted that way because they're supposed to be sunken in. It looks odd on the model with just the paint though.

The headlight styles varied a bit on the 250 GT California as I believe many of them were customized at the factory in Maranello for specific buyers but the (fake) 250 GT California seen in Ferris Bueller's Day Off had an approximation the stock California headlights which were sunken in, as you said, but were also behind a glass dome that followed the lines of the car so the headlight tampos on the 1/64 scale Hot Wheels version are roughly what you'd see from above if you flattened the headlights and the groove in front of them to the top surface of the glass dome.
I have 250 GT California's in three scales, the 1/64-ish Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment version, a 1/18 scale Hot Wheels 100% version that looks a bit different in front, and a real one... just kidding, I mean a 1/43 scale version from Ixo that looks most accurate to the standard version of the real car, moreso than the 1/18 version.

Hi Mark, love the retro look at cars, I still wish they would make today’s cars with such details. Keep up the good work.
