Tru, (not all, probably not even most) but many jewelers try to make the best piece they can. And they are proud when someone buys it because it means someone values a workpiece that they labored to create. Or if it's machine made, machine set. So it's actually good to buy that stuff, unless you're getting jewelry from slave labor or getting subpar goods not worth the asking price. They feel pride when someone buys a piece they worked hard on. That and they also get paid so if you don't buy the stuff that they workedthe hardest on... route really cutting their profit margin.
