***** What does that matter? If you can't learn anything from watching a 23 minute breakdown of hugely successful song you are ego is just too big. Humble yourself and learn. We can learn from anybody. We know nothing of Danny's skill level, so your point make no sense.
This is the best production advice and inspiration out of all the ones I've seen! So many things I wanna try out after watching this and I havnt even got to part 2 yet... What an absolute legend, tells it exactly how it is 👍
I was actually skeptical the first time I watched this, but after coming back to the video later I realize this is a really cool track, and I like the way he explains how he put it together and how he works. Kudos, Ray!
Ray, thanks for putting this up, mad respect to an OG such as yourself. Appreciate your work big time, keepin it as fresh as ever. A few heads in the Northwest of the US are loving your tunes daily.
for about 25 years he is doing the same thing, in a slightly different way.... and i still would buy each of his variations. there is actually not one track from him that is not beating the hell out of you. those basslines, vocals and dark synth carpets. incomparable.
Great tutorial but remember... Basically, just basically remember to basically do everything Ray basically does; because he's basically telling you some real proper techniques that will basically help you with your production. Basically knowledge is wisdom. Bass...ically 👊
fUCKING lEGEND......sKAnked out to Ray Keith since the 90's @ nuff Jungle Raves!!! The amount of tunes Ray's got underneath his belt is ridiculous!!! true Pioneer in the game.
My favourite piece of advice is: 'Always save. The meter could run out' - classic. Big up Ray Keith
I spent all day on a tune one time, & didn't save once. . . Lost everything!
Never happened again.
@@kollusion1 Thank god for auto-save huh?
Very true, Ctrl+s is your best friend
One of my all-time favorite producers! Those that post anything negative about Ray Keith or his credibility, are obviously not Tru Junglist!
rod gray one of the most gangster remixers back in the day
This brings back memory's. Thanks for devoting your time in making music.
What a legend. Truely great advice. Don't overthink it, its about the music. So generous to share his experience.
"If you went to college you'd be like 'What the fuuuuck'..." :D Bless ya Ray! Much love!
What's college?
One of the best studio sessions ive seen recently imo...lots of interesting and inspiring stuff in there can't wait for the second part
Drum and bass most difficult but most adaptable genre of music imo.
Rays a legend and been buying his tunes since 1991.
omg his mannerisms are so good " right here it's just like.. the tune needs a little kick up the arse. you know?" very good session
Any young producers watching FM, if you want to actually learn, listen to this genius and not Martin Garrix.
True
Yeah, cause we can't possibly learn from both. Let's listen to Danny who has achieved absolutely nothing in music.
+benja303 Martin garrix has enough ghost producers. and absolutly nothing is pretty ridicilous. its not about Fame, its about Skill.

Ray Keith’s a fucking legend... 👌🏼
Best Session so far...
"i never went to college or anything"... but make legendary classics for years. lololol
colege makes most producers sound too refined and the same. i like things to be dirty sounding and crooked as it adds character.
Awesome :)

Is the track up anywhere?
Priceless.

Why wouldn't vinyls 'hold the bass' for more than 4 minutes? Is it to do with the thickness of the grooves or something?
Yes thats exactly the reason.
