These gadgets are seriously dangerous for non-trained people. Do not use these, unless you have acquired proper training in scuba diving to understand risks associated with breathing underwater.
Thank you Marcel. I appreciate your attention to detail and precision throughout this and all your videos. I learned a lot. I think you pointed me out to one of the ways to re-invent myself after my divorce. I visited the Scorkl website you linked. I travel worldwide for a living and could easily carry a Scorkl setup in my suitcase. Thank you also for taking the time to create links to all those products.
Overpriced SpareAir (aka three breaths till death). It’s not safe, especially if you have no training in scuba diving. Even if you do, it’s lacks so many basic safety features. It seems to lack a pressure gauge, so you could run out of air with no warning. This is made even worse by the fact that they advertise it as having 10 minutes of dive time. The amount of time is highly dependent on both the person’s breathing rate and the depth that they are at. In addition, it doesn’t have a depth gauge, so how will you know if you go below its maximum “safe” depth? The way that it you have to hold it in your mouth also seems like a pretty dumb design choice. It would be so easy for it to fall out of your mouth in which case you have no backup. Finally, definitely fill it with air from a canister filled by a reputable dive shop (at which point just get certified and do real diving, but I digress) as the pump the scorkl sells has no way to ensure the air is adequately pure and probably introduces contaminants itself from whatever lubricants it uses.
It has an air pressure gauge of course, but not the rest. Still it's fun for 10-20 feet down. I wouldn't go any further down than what you could free dive on your own. The fears of this device are overblown, people are only going down 20 feet max. At that level, if the device quit working, you just swim back up.
and then you most likely get lung over-expansion injury, if you hold your breath. Guess what's the most likely response of an unntrained person, when they are out of air? Go up in panic, as fast as possible, while holding breath@@DarkSleuths
Sales pitch - No certification required. Marcel please get scuba certified and then use Snorkel ... there are many aspects to human physiology and diving, risks, hazards, awareness. Would you drive the car without the license? Yes its possible but please think about the consequences. I am sure you are clever guy and you have done some studies but please think about your followers that might grab the equipment of the shelf and jump into an abyss taking your advice!
Wow, what an awesome, beautifully cinematic video! Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely amazing work done on this most exquisite product. Sorry about your migraine.
great review, but wow - the video quality is amazing! what camera was used?!
Awesome video, tastefully done, and very respectful
Well, this is nice, Marcel, BUT what about that Etihad A 380 flight that we’ve all been waiting for?!
Right? We have ball been waiting Marcel
Not to worry - it’s coming. I’m working on more than one project at a time. Etihad‘s A380 is a series of four flights.
@@flytoptiermedia Will this "series of four flights" be delivered all at once or once a week or what??
