Love this podcast
Interesting interview would love to see Bethal Farms one day in person.
Great one Al!
More podcasts! Appreciate you
Would be nice to do a tutorial on HOW TO USE YM calculator… I don’t know how to get rates!!!
GOLF CLAP!!! OR SHOULD I SAY GULF CLAP!!! INSERT POPEYE LAUGH...
You know this was a good podcast for me.
Bring on more articles and products for regenerative soil building. Good stuff!
It's funny I never had a problem with poa until I knew what it was.
funny how that works lol
The regen ag talk was really interesting. Sounds alot like Dr. Grant Woods “Buffalo System.” Glad more and more industries are catching on to that.
Using a cover crop is genius!! That is so good for soil health!! Fascinating!!is the crop they are using a nitrogen fixer??
Dispite 40 million acres of lawn making up the lower 48, there is surprisingly very little information on this subject. I have had to try and teach myself and I really enjoyed seeing someone else attempting it. And Tell him he needs to do a chicken rotation to follow the goats with.
Love the podcast bro. It's nice to listen to while I drink my coffee in the morning or in my car on the way home from work. Keep up the good work.
Last Aussie 😁
Trevor hope you are doing better health wise.
Allyn, your podcasts are second to none. Always enjoy the content, whether it's beyond the basics or a refresher.
Thanks for all the work you and others have contributed to the lawn community. Have a great weekend. ~ mike
Love the innovation, growing a cover crop for sod! Wish we could make cool season sod farms more sustainable.
Thank you, Al!!
Gabe Brown would be so proud of this episode Allyn. His teachings on no-till farming continue to reach other areas of agriculture including turf science! Bravo 👏 for this content 😎
Thanks as always Allyn - How do you like your #pixel6??
Just hopped in to smash the like button and save for tomorrow!
Thanks bruh !
I'm up here in Apopka and my local supplier is currently out of Stonewall (prodiamine granules). They recommended a 10-0-20 product that has Ronstar in it, what do you think about Ronstar as a pre-emergent for St Aug?
Are the calendar guides for cool season lawns going to be loaded into the app soon, getting ready to do some preplanning to be ready to go once things start being warm and am not seeing anything yet, loved the regenerative ag segment, we all have our part to do!
Thank you for stopping by and sharing, Allyn!
So happy to see the podcast back. I don’t mind the segments at all, no need to film it all in one take. Whatever helps you get the most content out is the way to go. Still listening to every episode multiple times. Always entertaining
Hello
Preemergent question: Would I still apply two applications of prodiamine if I am also applying Pennant Magnum later this spring to control Doveweed?
Too much pre emergent stunts the grass though. On a newly sodded lawn or a thin lawn I would’ve spot sprayed. I think the goal is to ultimately thicken up the turf and let it fend for itself.
Agreed that's why I follow the label. 👍🤘
I just got done clearing a foot of snow ❄️
sounds like fun!
😎✌️💪
Hey Allen , i laid bermuda sod last spring(march) i live in south carolina. Is it okay to apply pre emergent this spring or should i wait another season for root development?
yes it's been over a year so you are all good to apply .
@@Thelawncarenut thanks!
I have the prodimine powder. Is there an easy way to measure? Are each of the scopes a certain gram amount? I just do not have the little drug scale that I see on your videos?
Harbor Fright has them cheap
@@jeremygober5328 Thanks
As I'm battling a finicky snowblower and tired of the cold, I'm completely ready to geek on lawn knowledge with Mr. Hayne. 👍👍
It certainly takes the edge off.
@@MichaelRei99 In more ways than one. Haha
So glad you are finding the time for the podcast! It means a whole lot more than you can imagine.
Thank you my friend 👍
Every single year, I get this panic in August when the blazing sun in beating down on my cool season grass. Am I watering enough? Did I push the roots enough in the spring time? There's never anything I can do for the weather, but the grass has always bounced back and greened up in mid Septemeber.
Bruh! My wife and I bought a spanking brand new house in Florida. We closed last year February. It took the builder nearly a year to build particularly during the height of COVID-19.
The front yard looks great, but the sides of the house and the backyard have been struggling.
From what I heard from other neighbors and what I have seen and researched on the Internet, builders will cut corners to save a penny. In my situation, it appears the builder did not put in at least 6" of quality top soil in the backyard and the sides of the house and must have put in cheaper and lower quality of grass in those areas.
I have great grass for my primary house in Colorado when it comes to Kentucky Blue grass, but Florida's St. Augstine grass is a whole new breed to me.
Would love to have you over to my Florida house and help with my yard issues. BBQ, pizza, and beer is on us.
Good afternoon everyone
Hello Ed!
Hello Allyn. I’m looking forward to this years lawn season. This will be my third year following your cool season lawn care guide. I’m stocked up for the next two seasons. I feel very confident this will be my best lawn season yet.
@@edmora7662 awesome to hear! Now we just need the weather to cooperate with us!
