Great idea. One thing that could be done is pitch the pipe towards the water that way you can drain the whole system by using the two water valves. All you would have to do is turn off the spigot and open both water valve on the Y connector and pipe with drain
20 degree drop is only in dry climates as in dew point of 15-20 with an air temp of 100+ 6-10% humidity. Water hardness effects spray pattern as they clog.
Brian Kaskie My only guess is with drilling the PVC and threading the nozzles in, there’s more of a chance for water leaks around the nozzles? Better to just get the preassembled nozzle/pvc parts and space every couple feet. Again... just a guess.
I learned to glue BOTH pieces.. I see she doesn't..I learned something! also, video didn't show or mention letting glue cure before flushing, I wash taught 8 hours? is it ready for pressure as soon as you finish the last joint?? also, I would NOT cap the drain with a threaded plug, but rather a VALVE ($5), no tool necessary to periodically flush (I leave em out back and htey rust...Harbor Freight gets a lot of business from me:( ) the VALVE would also allow expanding/adding on. I put in a $5 shower head for kids to rinse off outside if chlorine bothers them..saves me a house full of wet tile!
Each mister uses a about 2 liters per hour. A regular hose can fill 2liters in 5seconds. So if your system has 8 misters, 16liters per hour or roughly 1 liter every 4minutes.
Problem is, this type of system using PVC tubing without a high pressure pump driving the mist and pressurizing the system will make everything wet. The particles aren't as small as those running at 1000 psi and will take longer to evaporate. Also, tough to expect 20 degree temperature drop with hose bob pressure of 40 to 80 psi. Can't integrate a high pressure pump with PVC, it isn't rated to handle that kind of pressure.
So Mike, are you suggesting stainless steel and a high pressure pump? Also, the misters I've seen in restaurants aren't constantly running, but usually pump out a spritz every minute or so ...
Rosemary Hall I apologize for the significantly tardy reply to your question Rosemary. I didn't see your question until just now. Yes, either stainless steel or a high pressure flexible nylon line that can handle the pressure when using a pump. When you see systems that are "spritzing" every minute or so i suspect that is do to nozzle clogging issues. High pressure pumps really shouldn't be cycling on and off that frequently as the motor will heat up and easily become damaged. I would recommend Koolfog for assistance helping you design a system properly for your unique application. They have do it yourself kit systems as well as true commercial grade systems. Be prepared though, cost of a high pressure system versus a hose bib water pressure systems is like comparing the cost of a bicycle to a car.
Mike Mulqueeney How do you mean, the cost of high pressure is like that of bicycle to car, do you mean water consumption rate or the price of purchase. plz clarify
This video has to be from the 90's because there is no way this system costs less than $60 today! The Mister Couplings alone are anywhere from $12-$17 a piece now!!!
how you calculated the strength of cooler stands because it's going to become less by matters due to corrosion, now the nobel prize is waiting for you😸😸
You didn't show how to install the nozzles there's many nozzles it will be nice to know which nozzles you purchased thank you so much for all the information

I wonder if you have real hard water going to your house. Hard water which contains a high concentration of calcium and magnesium irons. It can plug up those tiny holes in the mist nozzles.
Donna,Maybe this will help a lot. You can buy a filter for the outside so the nozzles will not clog up so fast. Something to think about and it is only $22. Here is the link below to see, here is an example. :-)www.farmandfleet.com/products/777041-culligan-rv-800-marine-water-filter-w-kdf-and-hose.html?feedsource=3&gclid=Cj0KEQjw_eu8BRDC-YLHusmTmMEBEiQArW6c-DF8-7gR-WL0_cgpjRJ8TzlMcB0NG4BL_dAQrjwWlDEaAlej8P8HAQ
I'm using the Boogie Blue Plus and we have crazy sediment in our well water. This works great and the filter will last to 45,000gals. Takes out all of it and doesn't clog the mist system.
They forgot to show that if you use an output splitter, turn on the water, and the other output doesn't have a stopper, you're wasting a lot of water.. Buy a stopper for your other output when the mister's are on and the other output is not in use.
This is the most clear video on misting installation that I've seen! Very helpful.
You are a great teacher as well as very easy on the eyes. Thank you.
serious kelly kapowski/saved by the bell vibes and I dig it! Loved the video and am gonna do this to our patio!
Great idea. One thing that could be done is pitch the pipe towards the water that way you can drain the whole system by using the two water valves. All you would have to do is turn off the spigot and open both water valve on the Y connector and pipe with drain
Great job explaining how to install!!
If the plumbing doesn’t need to be inspected, you could use clear cleaner instead of the purple.

Water hardness effects spray pattern as they clog.
Get a filter.
thank you for the awesome video. you are the coolest construction worker ever! :)
Very clear and helpful. Thanks!
looks cool thanks for the cleaning nozzle tip.
I wish she could come install my misting system she made it look easy
You are so cool by doing cool work!
In long stretches, why is there a need to cut every 2ft vs keep the entire 10ft pipe in-tact and drill and insert the misting nozzles?
Brian Kaskie My only guess is with drilling the PVC and threading the nozzles in, there’s more of a chance for water leaks around the nozzles? Better to just get the preassembled nozzle/pvc parts and space every couple feet. Again... just a guess.
@@mikeeconomou7188 thanks mike...I did mine and will post results...all is good. Thanks again for reply.👍
Great video. Thanks
It wont cool off a patio in Texas 20 degrees. But it does feel good having a mister on the patio.
Need to see more
Thanks, this was really helpful.
Nice and coll! thanks for the video.
Great Video .... And it's six years old ;) Good Job it's aged well.
Love it!
this is great, I think in the future, I'd set the black text out of view, that's what I'll do w my instatall, anyway. thank you.
The video says 2014, but her pants say 1992....
Paul D
No man, no ... she’s sexy, the pants.. not so much
She just makes the pants look sexy.
I like them :)
face says woman, body says man
I'm ok with that.
I came for the lady, completely forgot about the mist...
Can I use a soaker hose around the railing of my deck?

what is the diameter of the mister holes? .3mm? .6mm? good video, thank you.
Nice job.
What do I do if my spray nozzle lil plugs get clogged they are already clogging i just got done assembling what did i do?
What size mister nozzles did you use? 0.1 or 0.88 mm etc
reduce the simmer heat? and the timperture?
Summer temperature if you were wondering how to spell
Could you not, in theory, drill your holes for the mist nozzles AFTER you've mounted the pipe?
Yes just drain it after
could you advice me about the water pressure ?
Yes ! I also want to know about that.
Dam that lid tho gets someone to drywall it lmao
U so smart. Thx u for share the video.i love to learn new stuff.
Can I use a typical garden hose instead of PVC pipe?
I was wondering the same thing. I'm wondering if the glue would adhere to the rubber. OR if there's a plastic coated hose?
@@angelolombardi4965 if you buy a kit, it comes with an attachment for a garden hose
I'm wondering how much water this uses per minute hour etc, considering many places are in a drought
a lot of nozzles are 3/4 go. so depending on how many you use most would be anywhere from like 4.5 to 25 gph.
Each mister uses a about 2 liters per hour.
A regular hose can fill 2liters in 5seconds.
So if your system has 8 misters, 16liters per hour or roughly 1 liter every 4minutes.
m doing in this way in my estate
where can we nossil sprayer ? electrcial hardware shop?
I'm doing this tomorrow! ...the Mexican way...so leaks
Is there a parts list?
Search "1/2 in. PVC Slip Sections with Mist Nozzle (5-Pack $10)" in homeDepot.

Mike Mulqueeney - also filtration is critical to ensure reliability. Nozzle orifices are smaller then a human hair when using a high pressure system.

it would have been nice to know where to buy the parts from SMH
Go to your local hardware store. Ace, Lowe's, TruValue, Home Depot... It's not that hard to figure out.
@@goodmorning713 If someone doesn't know where to get PVC pipe they really have no business doing projects that involve any power or hand tools.

"Attach it around the patio" therein lies the problem, lol. No patio structure to attach it to.

I have a system not as fancy but only 2 spray nozzles are allow water to go though the rest are not allowing water to come through help! please
we soaked them for 30 minutes in vinegar was working now clogged again lol

Those cutters ratchet as you cut she was snapping the pipe trying to cut it in one squeeze
LOL PVC pipe cutters cost $7.....I wish, in my state those exact ones cost $18
you go sister
she is so so so beautiful
Is this video from the 80"s? lol
Rob Morin it was filmed in 1999 or 2000
Don't do it with the nozzles in place. if you get cleaner or PVC cement in the nozzles, they won't work.
medieval system
Marry ME...u r the diy chick i dreamed of..😍😍😍😍

Jeremy Cline You need to go back to 4:35
Golly whole time spent on gluing pvc and not one second on the nozzles.
Beat the heat - not your meat
That’s not mist. It’s literally pouring out.
That was before she screwed the misters in. The very end is clearly mist
that looks like crap. is not misting is pouring. this is to water plants on hanging baskets.
You fuck head she was flushing it out first
look at the patio. Look how wet it is. invest in a high-quality low pressure system .or install a high pressure system but not with PVC pipe
The patio is wet because she just flushed the system without the nozzles in it.
