James contradicts Paul and tells you what Jesus said, that faith alone is not enough without deeds. Paul said no faith alone is enough to sell his brand, contradicting both. Wake up and read the Bible and read what Jesus himself said. "14. What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15. Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17. In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." James 2.

I love Roman’s already I just started reading it! and at the end of Roman’s 3 it says “so do we just forget about the law? Of course not but only when we have faith do we truly fullfill the law”. your bible is very similar to mine, but mine is blue! i read it everyday of my life. morning and night. even if i have to squeeze in some time in between my classes! i love god so much, ever since i started reading the bible and doing my morning and night time prayer before i start, my anxiety and my day has been alot more peaceful and calm. i'm very grateful the bible exists. ❤️

It's not by our own efforts that we're saved. We're saved only by accepting that Christ's death on the cross paid for our sin. We follow Him. He paid the price for us bc we are sinners and continue to fail at our own holiness. You are welcomed into the kingdom as soon as you believe and begin following Christ. When you do fail, ask for forgiveness, and continue back on the path. No amount of trying will win love from God, because He already loves you. You don't have to win His attention and affection.... because if you are covered in the blood of Jesus, then nothing can separate you from the love of God ❤
Matthew is, from my point of view, a great starting point as well. It's got a lot of parables you can learn from, though some might be a little bit more complicated to understand.
Its nice to start to read in the Gospels like matthew mark luke john. How can you appreciate the promises if you don't know the promiser ♥️ but it is up to you the most important thing is you read your bible. Jesus bless everyone

I like to use The New Layman's PARALLEL Bible. I can compare 4 versions of Bible at one time. It really helps me get clearer understanding of Gods' Word. KJ, NIV, LB & RSV are all in 1 Bible. 🙏❤
I started with John as an adult. When I was in high school they gave us Marks Gospel to begin with which wasn’t too bad either. Both easy reads and short, I’d suggest them to begin with
Yall, I really recommend you guys to start from the beginning of the bible if you ever want to start reading it for what it is for. You will learn a lot more if you choose just to read the whole thing, and it is going to help you with your walk with God. He shall lead you into the ocean, and he shall take your hand and guide you on the waves!
I keep switching my mind abt reading the Bible, like I want to but something in my body is making me just want to play on my computer all day, And this help a lot, I can barely decide what chapter to start at. (Or story I should say)
I get those thoughts too. And to be honest I think we all do. Something that helps me choose to read the Bible every day is knowing that there is a constant battle of war within ourselves between sin and God. It feels like war when deciding to read the Bible or do our flesh’s desires but God wins in the end, so choose God. I am still working on this myself, this battle within us will always be here as long as we are on the earth, but just trust in God knowing His words are worth reading over any fleshly desire you might have.
