Kuwait Motor Town 2023 - The Best Race Track In The Middle East?

- Here's an F1 onboard lap at Kuwait Motor Town. I did a lap on this circuit a few years ago but the track mod has been improved immensely, and I wanted to provide a better representation of Kuwait's high-speed circuit. It is 5.609 km long and classified as FIA Grade 1. That means that this circuit could easily host a Formula 1 race.
This Formula 1 hotlap is driven in Assetto Corsa with Charles Leclerc in the F1 2023 Ferrari SF-23.

I don't know about Paddock, but in terms of track itself, it could perfectly receive a F1 race. Even is already FIA Grade 1 track. Great lap, as always my friend !!
I'm pretty sure FIA track rating also includes paddocks and other necessities. So it really is an F1 ready package

It reminds me a lot of the proposed Circuit of Wales that was scrapped a few years ago.
Maybe it would need one or two zones with tougher braking in order to ease the overtakes, but for the rest it could be a legit track for F1

Idk why but it kinda reminds me of COTA's penultimate corner

Hope so. Can't wait to have an F1 race here at home. So jealous of our neighbors in bahrain, qatar, jeddah and abu dhabi 😅
Apart from Formula One, the Kuwait Circuit is also suitable for other international racing events such as MotoGP, WSBK, Asia Road Racing Championship, FIM EWC, SuperGT, FIA WEC, and so on.
If there is an opportunity, Kuwait Motor Town can organize MotoGP and Formula One for the next season, provided that:
1. repair facilities in the Pit stop area and increase safety standards in the circuit area
2. increase the lighting (if you want to organize a night race) and the level of lighting can be compared to other circuits in the Middle East (Losail, Sakhir, Jeddah and Yas Marina)
3. Resurfacing (if the asphalt quality is not acceptable) and repair of run off areas
4. Adding and increasing the number of spectator stands (which allows you to increase the number of spectators)

if that were to happen, i would be so happy. it would help immensely on developing the other tracks, like the drift track. other tracks in KMT are meh imo (excluding the drag strip).

This track is definitely an unorthodox one, with weird areas like outer pits, esses made by rough instead of smoother turns, a massive straight after T1 and that one roundabout after that one straight
Oh so this is the track map, Marcel Fischer uploaded a few videos on this before but there was no track map, not this gives a much better idea

Underrated track
sector two and three is like austria backwards
The best one is Sakhir, by far, for many years to come.
This is just the nth tilkodrome with the same ingredients mixed in always similar ways.
Anyway, Kuwait is doing much more than Saudi Arabia for developing the sport in its own country by building this big permanent autodrome.
I have always loved this track! Maybe for fantasy season?

Its very flowy so I can imagine overtaking would be quite difficult though. First and 2nd to last corner would be good braking zones for overtaking though.
The infield section is amazing, the only part of the track I didn't like is the first turn, that could be tighter, in my opinion
I find it quite similar to Turkey turn 11, just a little bend on the straight that doesn't really affect racing

I think this track is great but i think onr thing its missing is a good, hard braking zone to see some overtakes

For F1 i don't see many overtaking opportunities after the two long straights

kuwait could host f1 for this circuit but the circuit is 30 mins drive from the airport to the circuit

Even though I don't think this would be better than Bahrain it certainly feels like it would be better than Qatar or even Abu Dhabi, and I'm not an Abu Dhabi hater.
Woow looks very nice. Long straigths and tricky middle sector. This should replace Qatar bcs although Qatar is cool track, it kinda doesnt work the best with Formula cars. Qatar is better for MotoGp

first straight, second straight and the last straight with DRS could change your view possibly. middle sector also gives portimao vibes and that track had excellent racing so you never know
A no for me.
- Start/ finish straight is way too long (I'm including the straight after the first corner here because thatś going to be flat for most racing classes).
- corners 5 and 6 go on for waaaaay too long.
- features a weird wannabe Istanbul Park 4 apex corner that fails because it's to tight.

5.607 km? Sounds like Tilke. I would love to see a Tilke circuit that is shorter than 5 km long if such a thing exists. Seriously, we need some shorter circuits on the F1 calendar.
Chang International Circuit in Thailand is designed by Tilke and FIA Grade 1 certified (though license recently expired)
Most F1's Tilke circuits follow very strict rules. If you look at his portfolio of FIA grade 2 tracks or less, there are a lot of hidden gems and beautiful pieces of tarmac.
If F1 wants to have good racing and stay in the Middle Eastern market; Keep Bahrain, ditch Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi, and add Kuwait

The best Track in the Middle east, was, is and will always be Bahrain.
It's an amazing circuit, just perfect in my opinion.
But F1 is not going to race here, it wants to go to Miami and Las Vegas.....I just lost most of the interest now watching F1.
