I'm not too into Japan's idol groups, but there are 2 instances where I felt sad hearing about a member of an idol group graduating. The first is AKB48's Tomomi Itano. Next is Nogizaka46's Saito Asuka. I only discovered Asuka's charm after she announced her graduation, which made me quite upset. I didn't really follow Nogizaka46 because I just lost interest in japanese idol groups after AKB48. I think I'm going to cry if Ume announced her graduation one day.
I was still a kid back then but I cried when akb's Atsuko Maeda graduated lmao. I'm not into Nogizaka46 as well but I know a lot of the popular members
Same! Noticed Asuka in Mouse CM then got addicted to Hadashi de Summer for a while. That's all I know though but I always give a watch to their new MVs
