My story: I'm a 26 year old. I considered myself healthy, active until I started coming down with severe pain flares. Neuropathy. Fatigue. Chronic bone pain. Long story short: x-ray, CT scan of my TMJ Joint shows extensive degeneration on the left side, bone erosion. Based on that, a physical exam, blood work. A rheumatologist diagnosed me with "Degenerative Arthritis caused by wear and tear/prematurity." I was born a 1 pound 2 oz preemie. However, the pain goes wide spread throughout my body, down my spine. The pain is significant. I can only work 3 hours a day. My vision is awkwardly weird too, it gets super blurry and distorted. I have retinopathy of prematurity stage 3 in both eyes. The emotional coping of it has caused anxiety and depression. I seen a regular medical for a check up. I went in for depression. Instead of telling me "yep you have depression." He told me "Hmm, well I think you need to see a neurologist. Your reflexes are brisk. That's concerning for a neurological disorder." I was stunned because I DID NOT expect him to tell me that. I haven't seen a neurologist yet. Do you think I will be denied or approved? I had an in take interview today at SS office. I brought all documents I could.

When I become a disabled adult child (DAC) does that mean I will no longer have to get reviewed every few years by ssi doctors?
